It is the year 2687 and humans have been eradicated from the face of the earth, their excessive pollution and continuous wars has taken care of them. At the end of The Old World, the human species lacked compassion towards their brothers and sisters, which was another reason that led them to extinction. Just some instants before the last human heart stopped beating, they observed what their unconsciousness and apathy had led to. Before them laid a destroyed world; one without a trace of drinkable water, no uncontaminated vegetables and cows have been long gone before that. Half of the flora in the history of humanity is either extinct or has mutated to this point. A few months have gone by since the last human heart stopped beating, and the animals that had gone into hiding are starting to come out of their safe place. Now, on the planet formerly known as earth, there is nothing left but animals and nature. It is a new beginning for whatever flora and fauna is left.
After the extinction of humans, animals started to speak in a long-forgotten language which allowed everyone to understand each other. After a few months went by all animals were able to understand each other. Cats and dogs took it upon themselves to make sure that the planet was well taken care of, after all they were the closest animals to humans and they were the ones who had a better idea of what society should be like. Cats and dogs took it upon them to organize The New World, but some animals didn’t believe in them, because history has shown cats and dogs rarely get along. So they questioned cats and dogs’ ability to run a functional society.
A meeting was held and all the animals were to express their opinions on what cats and dogs wanted to do with society. Horses, birds, foxes, and all of the animals that were left showed up in the remains of what used to be the Great Bear Rainforest.
“The session is about to begin, please be kind enough and take your places at once.” Said a german shepard, with an authority characteristic to its bark.
“Who is he?” Said a mighty persian cat.
“He’s the leader of the dogs, his calls himself Prometheus.” Said a skinny little egyptian Sphynx
“Can the leader of the cats stand up.” Demanded Prometheus.
A white fluffy British shorthair, with eyes so golden they competed with the sun, came forward.
“My name is Brahma leader of the cats” Said the British shorthair.
“Could I have a moment with you alone Mr. Brahma.”
“Sure thing, let's go to a more secluded place.”
Prometheus and Brahma walked to a secluded place, behind some trees where they couldn’t be seen by the crowd, and left everybody else in what was left of the Great Bear Rainforest. Time went by and the two leaders seemed to be taking their time. The crowd began to whisper things among themselves. Both cats and dogs were worried but they kept calm, until the cry of an animal was heard.
“He probably just ate him and he’s just waiting for everybody to leave so he can walk out freely.” said someone among the crowd.
The cats became more and more suspicious about what was going on on the “secluded place.” They truly began to worry about their leader. An hour went by and one of the cats began to plot against the dogs in case Brahma did not came back. Nothing seemed to be happening so the cats began their sneaky little plan. As they whispered and began to outline their attack, they noticed that dogs were ready to counterattack. A cat picked up a fight with a dog in hopes of creating mayhem and distraction for his brothers to set in motion their plan. And just as the battle was about to get real, both leaders came out, without even so much as a scratch.
“My brothers and sisters,” Said Prometheus “This is what destroyed the human race.”
“If we are to build a new world —a new society– that runs with peace and harmony, we need to become bigger persons than they were.” Said Brahma.
And so Brahma and Prometheus stated the Postulates of The New Era, in which it clearly said animals weren’t to abandon their common language, for they must be able to understand their brothers and sisters —regardless of their fur. If conflict were to arise, no physical action will be taken, and in case any of their siblings were to break these, then the universe was going to collapse. Or so said the “prophecy” Brahma and Prometheus told to scare everyone in the world.
Years went by and animals lived in perfect harmony until one day Prometheus and Brahma had a disagreement, and like humans, they fought like cats and dogs, unable to resolve their problems, which further lead to the collapse of The New Era. And with it came the end of the Universe.
Can you grasp something that's invisible
In the streets governed by the streets driven criminal
In the sheets, painted up with a face that isn't yours
and your hands tainted with the blood of others, and unopened doors
The sun has gone down, and the homeless are freezing
Some dancing around, and with food appeasing
While you and some others are in the room all alone..
and the air smothers you, and anxiety brings life out of the zone
A hand comes out of your thumping heart, and suffocates you silly
It comes out screaming, and dumping the pain of the world, and you get chilly
You wish you could save the world, and cradle the ill in your hands
Bring, pave and stretch out the curled, lost, to comfort the bullied trans
What is the world, when you walk around to live with someone else's blood on your hands
To live when you ignore and talk happiness but can't give and end the flood to the disappearing lands?
Don't you ever wonder what the world means when there's a bunch of so called nobodies?
Acting like a blunder is a murder and people just have a hunch who you are, and lay on our tragedies?
What is morality?
When we are bathed in brutality?
Laugh it off like we don't know,
While people are screaming below
and someone has to pay and die
and all people say is "I'm sorry, I can't, goodbye."
This is humanity.
We all try to ignore the insanity.
and someone's on the floor crying for someone to be there
and others just seem to kick, scream and glare
but for their sisters and brothers they'd probably shed a tear
But for anyone else they say they can't be here
It's truly disgusting
Respect is forever rusting
Screaming "Equality!" yet fighting and burning homes in it's name, adding blood to the unnecessary sea of issues of gender and "race" and the others trivial differences we try to hold
Through actual frivolity of rewriting and turning around simple non-offensive words like its a game, yet somehow determining what you are by shape of your face, through privileged or how old
When we both share the same organs, the emotions, and planet
breathing the same air, through the grass and granite
and still we fight which status, and hands matter the most
Competing with our apparatus and plans, that catch the eye to bleed one of our fellow brothers as a host
What's the point if we stand on dead bodies to live?
To disjoint lives that are so much more meaningful and bite the hand that gives?
This must be the meaning of our lives
To bleed a poor soul and find the next one that arrives.
Peace among humans is a must
But all we share is a look of disgust
Disrespect and lack of trust
Peace among humans is there
So little, to find is very rare
But nobody seems to care
Peace among humans is wanted
But everyone is simply blinded
By hatred and frighten
Peace among humans is desired
From everyone who inspired
Other with love whom conspired
In the beginning, man was friends with all the animals in nature, and they shared their meals, played and foraged together. Foxes, bears, cats, dogs, raccoons and all the other animals encounter at the big house in the middle of the forest, where every night a giant bonfire was built and everyone sat around and told stories to the others; many boastful tales were shared and many laughs were had around that big cozy bonfire. Since there were so many animals to help man, many stayed at the meeting place and helped with the daily chores, while others helped man bring in the meals for the day. The bear was especially good at finding the berries; with his big nose he could always find the plumpest, juiciest berries in the forest. The fox was very jealous, and told the raccoon “We should sneak out at dawn to find the best berries, that way the bear won’t get all the credit.” The raccoon, being the best animal at sneaking, agreed and they were on their way. The cat, which always stayed the whole night awake looking for his favorite plants, noticed something was amiss when he arrived at the house: “Where are the fox and the raccoon? It was their turn to tend the fire.” The big bonfire had started building up, and was about to reach the ceiling and start burning the house. The cat, being always a bit selfish, decided to escape without telling anyone that no one was caring for the fire. Once the fire started consuming the ceiling, the dog woke up with an alarmed bark: “Smells like burning, smells like a fire! Wake up!”. Suddenly all the man that stayed in the house where trying to put out the fire with everything they could, blankets, soil and other materials that the few animals that stayed brought. As the fire ended consuming most of the house, and a lot of its habitants were injured badly by the fire, in came the fox and the raccoon asking “Why did the fire grew up that much? Wasn't someone supposed to be watching over:” All the animals and man around the consumed ashes of the burning bonfire, saw them with a sad and disappointed look, until the dog said “ weren't you supposed to be the ones watching over night today?”. They both didn't knew what to answer and decided to exile to the deep forest without any companion. When the chaos subsided, everybody thanked the dog because if it wasn't for his notice, something bad could've happened, which is why is said that dog is a man’s best friend.
I am the Earth beneath your feet,
And the seed nestled betwixt them.
I am the rain to guide the seed to fruition,
And the sprout that bursts upon the meadow.
From sprout, to sapling, to bark, to birch,
I am every twig and leaf that falls to Earth.
You come with ax and now I'm timber,
To the mill and then ship builder.
I was the cotton in the field,
But now I am cloth for your sail.
I am the ocean you take to distant lands,
And the wind you catch within your sails.
I am the Earth, you are my leech,
But I am here for you, whenever you need.
Women.
We're people,
just like men.
We're not things,
property,
sex toys,
or trash.
We're not something
you can say you want
one minute and then,
the next minute,
say you're over us.
Women.
We have feelings,
desires,
needs,
wants,
fears,
brains!
The Government seems
to think that we are stupid.
That we can't think for ourselves.
Well the jokes' on them!
We can decide whether or not
we want birth control.
Whether we want to get pregnant or not.
Women.
We're more than
just a "piece of ass".
We're more than
just some fuck and dump!
We are people,
humans,
with feelings!
Although, personally,
abortion is not something
I'm for,
that doesn't mean
I'm gonna tell everyone
that they can't.
It is up to us,
us women,
to decide what we
want, and
how to deal with something
if we don't want it.
Women.
We are strong,
we are smart,
we are not things for
others to use.
We are WOMEN!
We are STRONG!
So TREAT us like Equals!
Because that's what we deserve!
Now listen to what I have to say
For the wicked hide in the shadows of this day
You know nothing of what is of me
You may know the color of my eyes
But not of what they are capable to see
Now here, I've warned this upon you
For not every smile is ever true
Everything is not set in stone
You may say there is an answer
When nothing is completely known
Close your eyes, please understand
That what you may rely on is a blood-thirsty hand
Unknown of what they truly are
Watch think before you turn and talk
Someone so close to you can be so far
So remember before you go on and say
"But why would anyone do this to me anyway?"
Human nature can be full of evil and greed
Unwatched, A monster born within the shadows, full only of self pleasure and need.
Bound by the cities
Bound by another one's pity's
Expect a place to be
Or expect not want to be seen
And I'll take you as walking money
I see you as a pretty big funny
We and I, all have found our place
And you my dear, have barely found a face
Bound to me, and to my briefcase
I'll lend you a smile, but you're a secret disgrace
Find the comfort in another's eyes
But in reality, another girl will have them hooked on their clever disguise
Find a place to be
Or expect not want to be seen
Stuck in a rut
With no qualities, not knowing what
Who are you and what are you in this city?
Gone and withdrawn, alone and all shitty?
Expect a place to see
Or expect us to be mean
For you are bound
What goes around, comes around
You are stuck here, forever with me
With no voice, or founding plea
For you are bound
My slave, to paint my sacred ground
