A Precious Gift

A Precious Gift

If our love was blind,
I would find a way to see it
If it was unable to speak,
I would find a way to say it

And if it was unable to hear
I would find a way to listen
But our love isn't blind
It sees from within our hearts, minds, and souls

Love is a very precious gift and to receive,
but once it is lost,
It can never be returned in the same way again
Love can't be measured in size or strength

For it is what is within our heart
And it can't be described in every way
For we all love differently !

Unending Love

Unending Love

After all of this time of being apart
We still love each other, with all of our hearts
I can't find the words to express how I feel
Sure, I'm glad that you're back

yet it just doesn't seem real
You've been gone for so long
But now you reappear and say
that your love is still strong

I couldn't believe what I was hearing
Yet in my heart, there's something that I'm fearing
I loved you too much once, and you left me alone
I want you with me forever, not for me to wake up and you be gone

I've cried over you so many times before,
And it all seemed useless, like the sands on the shore
I've waited and waited, on your return,
Now you're back with me, and our love does once more burn

You say you'll never love me as you once did;
I feel the same, because a painful memory is hard to rid
Yes, I told you that I'd been with others, same as you
But even with them, my love for you so much

Is it your ways, your personality, or your gentle touch ?
I believe it's a combination of them all
So whatever happens this time,
Please, don't make me take another fall !

By JFarrell

In each others’ arms,

We look up at the moon,

In the darkest indigo

Of a cloudy night

The moon bursts through the clouds

A bright silvery guide, in the sky

Some of the thick cloud is inpenetratable

And makes the moon look like a heart,

My heart, bursting with love for you

Can you feel my heart beating?

Can you feel my arms around you?

Can you feel my soft kisses on your neck?

Your moon is younger than mine

After all, we are six hours apart,

But, under the moon,

We are both here, now

I so love you.

Your musk,

Be yourself,

Be humane and bring,

Author's Notes/Comments:

A new form of poetry created by me is called ‘Haqueian Verse’, which starts with a single word; it has five lines that contain ten words in total. The poem ends with a single word that rhymes with the first word.

Simple Thoughts

tragedy can be,

with repeating sounds of words,

or screams and cries;

pain is a universal language.

Everyone knows it,

this I believe.

even then, there's plenty

of discontent for which has and has not

been felt,

as though suffering is to be measured.

I've seen it, you have, too,

the pain of the neighborhood,

tires slashed throughout,

just another siren,

at my end of the city.

Such a pity, and then

the loud clash

of the car crash,

one having smashed into the other,

and in this moment of pain,

this tragedy,

comes unity,

The unprovoked question

of the desire of assistance,

the rush to the scene

seen by me

of the people who live on this block,

calming the sobbing mother,

bringing the young ones out from the cold,

the old man sweeping the broken glass,

no police having arrived yet.

Yet, nothing but pain

bringing us together,

celebrating that everyone is okay.

Silver lining,

pain unites,

every little thing

is going to be all right,

the radio said so."

Author's Notes/Comments:

I recently was invited to be part of my local Lululemons UNTITEd States campaign, and I had such a blast. This is my poem for the them "unity", aptly named.

Ready to be happy

I stay up wondering when will the time come

I ask myself why not me

I see others with such joy and happiness

It's as if that joy was not meant for me

I know she's out there but when will we meet

Its only a matter of time i hope

For that happiness I see i want for me

Another Night Alone

Verse 1:
I won't spend another night alone.

If it's not you no one else can do.

'Cause we belong together,

You're my shooting star.

All this time, I spent with you:
These memories will never die out.

'Cause I know you by heart,

Wherever you will go, I'll follow you.

 Verse 2:

Now, the time has come for me

To put myself into your hands.

'Cause you gotta know: We belong to each other.

Our hearts are continuously set in the afterglow.

If you and me, if there's a possibility

Of beconing one with you,

Let loose and come unto me tonight.

Fall apart or hold on tight.

Every time the phone rings,

I expect it to be you.

I spend each daily liviing like this.

Won't you take me home tonight?

Love’s fate

A girl I met a match in heaven,

More dark as me could be no better than my old lucky number seven.

Our lives started so grand the faults so small,

Being without each other just makes my skin crawl.

The people came against us one by one,

As every year that past we became that much strong.

Almost seven years now under our belt,

When she is not drinking she makes my heart melt

To wake every morning her face I first see.

The feelings in my heart larger than the sea.

To realize after time I have choices make,

These choices so hard that will certainly control our fate

A Holiday Experience:

Seasonal Holidays:

I have to say the best holiday I have ever experienced was a weeks holiday in West Wales, in the seaside resort of Tenby.

Several of my family members and I went on this week long holiday to Tenby: we shared a three bedroomed apartment; there was also TV, so I was pleased.  Our appartment was over looking the beach at Tenby and the sea coast, also surrounding woodlands; filled with birds and wildlife.

As soon as we had unpacked we all agreed we wanted to experience the sand on our feet and between our toes. We all made our way down to the beach and scrunched through the dry sand with our feet: grains of sand were hot underfoot, as the sun beat down in glorious rays along the beach.

We ventured further down the beach and into the sea; the sea was luke warm on this very hot day in Summer. Remarking to others of my crowd;"look you can stand up to your knees and still see your feet in the sea water". The others in our party agreed with me, the sea water was so clear and not polluted by industry at all.

Looking back at the beach and to either side of this small bay was surrounding woodland; there were many types of bird prelevant there also varied wildlife.

You could see that cut into both sides of the beach and amongst the woodland  track had been carved out: where people coulld walk amongst the woodland slopes of pine, fir and oak tree. swooping seagulls were evident too, but these seagulls mainly swooped down at the ocean, hoping to catch a fish maybe!

Venturing off the beach area now and walking towards the East of Tenby; we came across a small restaurant, on the outskirts of Tenby. Commenting how much real fresh air we had enjoyed, we all agreed fish or cold meat salads were in order. Of course and a big pot of tea, which we all enjoyed, followed by some ice-cream. Having eaten our fill, we decided to have a walk around Tenby for a few hours: we had a bit of shopping to do, floats, armbands, beach ball, surfboards and not forgetting the beach mats.

As we were staying for a week we thought it might be expiedient of us; to shop at one of the local supermarkets for grocceries and get a couple of taxi's back to the appartment. I also bought myself a straw hat, to keep me cool and to protect me from the sun.

Returning to the appartment with all the shopping did not take very long and the sun continuing to shine; as indeed it did the whole week we were there: we decided to have a barbeque.

One of our party was very good at cooking on a barbeque so we all left the cooking to him; whilst we all arranged the buffet to go with it and of course long, cool drinks.

By the time we had consumed the barbequed food and with the sun eventualy setting we drank the cool drinks and soon felt sleepy. What with the heat of the day, paddling, a long walk and shopping also all the fresh air and hot sunshine we had inhailed, it all had a sleepy effect on us.

Tommorrow my nieces' had promised to show me how to bodyboard on the open sea.One consolation was that you lay on the board, not standing as in surfing.

The rest of the sun drenched week passed very pleasantly; but after many years of no holidays, this first day of my family holiday I remember very well, as the sheer beauty of the place intoxicated the person.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside. Good company on holidays is a must too. Great holiday. Thanks mum and family.
