"Fossilized Stone"

We lie awake,

We lie alone,

We lie in silence,

Like fossilized stone.

Our heartbeats in sync,

Our souls stitched as one,

Your eyes are moonlit torches,

Replications of the sun.

Your hand in mine,

It's stunning, symmetric.

Your voice, though silent,

Is provoking, electric.

Alone with you,

I cannot speak;

Your incomparable beauty,

It makes me weak.

Your smile, like a skyline,

Borders perfection.

A world without you,

It has no direction.

My Boy and I Go Everywhere Together

Creative Writing

I want a puppy.

I want it to be fluffy and dark,

I want it to nibble on my fingers, I want it to cry

every time I leave it by itself.

I want it to lick my face and my hands.

When I carry it around town,

I want all the ladies to coo, tut and awe for me

and my little buddy. I want to buy

him new chew toys and milk bones

so he can learn new tricks.

I want a puppy that’ll grow big and strong

so I can wrestle with him.

I want my old neighbor, George, to notice

my pup, along with Marty and

chubby little Peter from across the street.

I’d invite party buses full of famous folk,

like Ben Affleck or Betty White,

then the whole world will know about

my new puppy with the pointy ears

and the soft coat. If someone offered me money

for the cutie, I’ll laugh it off and tell him:

“My puppy, not yours. No sale!”

When he grows to be a big, old dog,

we’ll be the best friends anyone has ever seen.

No one will be able to take him from my side,

not even my old lady.

There once was a time

I open my eyes waking from my sleep,

I step into dreamland when I plant my feet.
After slipping out of bed with her,
I kiss my son and neither stirs.
Both sleeping soundly under the roof of our home,
Their minds dance in dreams and their never alone.
I know their safe left with our wow wow,
If anyone enters their met with a growl.
As I get ready for work I listen for the creak,
Of our bedroom door hoping to hear her speak.
The mornings she wakes at the crack of dawn,
Make my heart sing a million love songs.
The day goes by with a huge smile on my face,
Knowing she'll be there when I get back to this place.
When I arrive home the house glows with joy,
"Dada" rings out from the lips of my boy.
I am finally there where I belong,
At home with my wife and our boy so strong.
All this possible because of a kiss,
The mornings she wakes early and puckers up her lips.
It's all I need to push harder each day,
God I love her in every way.
Author's Notes/Comments:

This was the first proem I ever wrote. Nobody.... but her... has ever read it. I am no professional poet, in fact I struggle to find the word's to speak sometimes. But when I wrote this the words just flowed out of my soul. My inspiration for this came one morning when she woke to kiss me goodbye when I was leaving for work. So beautiful, she really is the stuff dreams are made of. She has since moved on and I am struggling to accept it. I'm just a boy in love with a girl.

Two trees

Two trees on a lonely hill
Stand and belong together,
Near-at-hand, somewhere in Brazil,
Despite the time and weather
The one tree loves a night,
The moon and the starry sky
It sleeps under the sunlight
When the birds sing and cry.
The other enjoys a day
Waking up with a sunrise
And always wants to play
When a good mood arises
Two trees on the lonely hill
Have never talked to each other
Though they’re together still
And won't be split by the earth mother

way of love

Did I wish too much -
Just You beside me.

Did I need too much -
Only Your true love.

Wished You to hold,
Love words to be told.

Now feeling Your strong arms
Around my frightened body,
Trying You to teach me -
Love can be here forever.
Being secure and safe with You,
Believing and knowing it is true -
We will be together to the end
And promises will be kept as well.

We will always have that dream,
Dream we once in past have made -
Growing old together,
Being for each other here forever.

Now we are on this way -
Way only love has made.
We are still here together
And will always remember -
The day You gave me Your love,
The day I became Your wife

For what they're worth, her kisses take my feet off the earth and every time, it feels like a rebirth.
When our lips touch, the feeling can't be described in phrases,
But you wouldn't understand even if we trade places.

Her beautiful hair, her gorgeous nose, her dazzling eyes, her perfectly crooked ears, her sensitive neck..
I swear i lose my mind around her.
Whenever i see her, everything feels brand new like a movie premiere..
But when we kiss, nothing can compare..
It's like midnight on new year's eve at Times Square.

You and Me

My Boo

You and me.
Me and You.
Those three words
make me happy.

I know that
you love others,
but that doesn't
take away from
the fact that
I love you!

I would wait
forever and ever
for you, dear.
I won't do
anything that might
hurt you, hon,
no matter what!
If I did,
I would not
be able to
forgive myself, ever!

You and me,
three normal words
that, when they
are put together
they make up
one beautiful meaning!

Those three words
put all together
simply mean, Us!

If I have
to wait awhile
for you to
feel the same
way about me,
then I will
wait as long
as I must!

Because, my dear,
I love you
and you mean
the whole world
and then some
more, to me!

Someday I hope
that it will
be me and you,
you and me,
together in person!

Resolved to Love

Her eyes opened to the dark of the coming dawn.
Silence, like the canopy above her head, hung in the air, if only to be disturbed by the rustling wind.
She blinks again, unsure of what her eyes are showing.
He was there, laying beside her in bed, his face soft from slumber.
Beside her was where she found him.

He could feel her eyes, like the morning sun, enveloping him in their warmth.
He didn't dare stir at fear he would startle her and force her to hide behind a blush.
He knew she was questioning his presence.
Then slowly, he felt her wrap herself in the sheet and remove herself from the bed.
Never again would he let her leave him.

She clung to the sheet as her feet slipped across the cold floor.
She gazed through the open window at the commencing morning.
She couldn't bring herself to find her clothing that was thrown about the room.
In that moment she was resolved to stay.
She was resolved to let herself love him.

He watched her as the sun slowly rose to illuminate the paleness of her skin.
He let his feet touch the floor and carry him to her.
His arms moved to tighten the sheet around her, and yet, secure her to him.
She was too much to take in all at once, he loved all of her equally.
So he closed the curtain again.

Together they let the morning pass to night once more.
And in their slumber they held onto each other for dear life.
Never again would they let go.
Never to be apart.
Together to greet the oncoming dawn.

Resolved to always love.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is quite a poem, but it's not a short story either. I thought there might be an audience for it here.

From the Ashes

With a spark we started the fire again and together we’ll last to the end.
Through the storm we have walked and together we have survived.
A new love is born from the ashes of a fire that was lit long ago.
Our path unbeaten but together we go on this journey, our lives now intertwined.
With the darkness comes the light and with the wind, rain and cold comes the rainbow.
