Stars outpour
from his eye doors
Sparkling rainbows
from his feet
A calming voice
from his lips
From his fingers
healing heat

Starry Night

So much to fear of things unclear
So much to understand of something so bland
Basking in glorious divinity
Something potentially reaching infinity
looking into the past
Where the brightest died last
So enjoy the sight
Of this clear and Starry Night

Endless Spiral Into the Night

Endless spiral reaches into the night.
Reason by endless spirit is transgressed.
Ignorance is bliss so blinded is sight.
Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And boundless sorrow will remain repressed,
While shimmering white stars do shine so bright.
Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And solemn souls' sadness remains suppressed.
Sealed by shining angels' tears for respite.
Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And sacred joy by the angels is blessed.
While endless whirls spread through sky like a blight.
Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And with joy souls become slowly obsessed.
While darkness takes the sky in lovely flight.
Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And endless joy doth fade slowly in plight.
And by split emotions souls are so stressed.
Endless spiral reaches into the night.

A villanelle about a vibrant spiral galaxy. I am aware it doesn't completely fit the form.

from long before the sun rises
'til long after the sun sets
my thoughts
from waking 'til dreaming
are often of  you

of making you smile
of making you laugh
and even
of making you cry
with words meant
to draw feeling

not of viciousness
or of cruelty
but of  feeling
and connecting

of being together
though thousands of miles
are between your heart and mine

we're beneath the same sun
the same stars

distance is only
a measurement

and thoughts
can cross a universe

Stardust Flurries

Twinkling eyes, with shards of glass,

Gaze upon a moonlit mass,

Stars unseen with shallow heart,

Shine beyond the human part,

Spirits rise from sacred graves,

On truth stained eyes their starshine saves,

And shallow hearts that fail to see,

Break open on such majesty,

Then dampened cheeks, so wet with light,

See all the stars they used to fight.

A falling star falls from the sky,

A spec of stardust in an eye,

Sheilded truths untwist the lies,

And starlit views save love's demise.

The night holds wonders,

Light years away,

Open up to the sky,

Let them shine your way.

Best Friends Are Like Stars

Best friends are like stars on a cloudy night
you may not see them but you know they are always there
through thick or thin their  friendship will always shine bright

You both can share the times of laughter and the times of sorrow
and those little secrets shared are safe and kept forever
there’s never a doubt each of you will be there come tomorrow

Even if life’s path changes along the way and one  moves away
distance and time can  never change the bond between best friends
that truly special friendship in each others heart is there to stay

Thoughts Like Waves

The fears that threaten,

To face one's life,

On terms not one's own,

Can bring euphoria, strife,

Or a wild combination,

Like a key to a lock,

It can either move mountain,

Or leave one in utter shock.

Your they twinkle...

Your merry...

Oh "Tides of the Heavens",

Don't leave life in such a hurry,

For there's so many things,

That you won't and can never know,

But believe me my love,

You will be back, should you choose to go.

For life is a circle,

No beginning, no end,

And living in truth,

Your whole being shall mend,

Temporary chaos,

Can seem very wrought,

On a soul who can't seem to undo

What they've thought---

Was the truth.

With that,

Change comes tumbling down,

Then, in the blink of an eye,

Your smiles turn upside down.

We all live with threats daily,

This not new to us,

Soon you just reach a point,

Where it's not worth the fuss

To be angry or vengeful,

Or feed into some dare,

Where your life is, is here,

Not your thoughts over there.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Just a poem. We all think things.

Just sometimes we may

not have the skills or awareness

to use the power to

let things go, as letting go

In the mind is what is important.

Then moving on is very easy,

Even if there is changes we must live with.

The thoughts come in...

The thoughts roll out.

Like the "tides" of post poems...

And waves of emotion,

Hold onto your whitecaps,

Life can be a rough ocean!!

The Drabble Ditch

Marcella is a girl so mocked, she enjoys it.

I see her in the window of a high-rise in London,

Where by day, the sun is sulfur yellow,

Clings to skin and streaming eyes,

And by night, heads are down and stars shine black

And dull as a November London road.

Marcella, you are the only moon I see here,

Your face and hair glowing like a china doll in a wedding veil,

The white against shadowed streets,

The headlights and streetlamps glare at hooded city stalkers,

Never looking up at people like you, the pure light, La Luna,

Marcella, your eyes seem to speak truths of this city

That airwaves and black print cannot:

Red, yes, that's the colour of a blunt blockade,

The beefy bloke who bars us from going further,

Red is the pestilence of London, smiling and shooting streamers in the streets,

All the while crushing and compressing until we're cold.

Marcella, sometimes I wish I could coax you down from your nest,

Show you the steel concrete chaos that your sight has survived.

It's intimate here, I'll give you that,

But the stars remain anxious for awe-struck eyes,

Lights can be dazzling, claustrophobic and pressuring,

But stars wait forever for our smiles.

Funny-looking Marcella, but in a nature-lover's way,

This maze: Where each twist and turn is a park or a book or a new song,

Where each needle of fern is a final notice or a corporate climber,

You can follow me. Take my hand.

Marcella, take my ticket. Board a train and run.

Pretty birds like you don't belong in the city,

Where vultures of all natures watch hungrily for prey.

Just promise to find the right flock, and fly.

Among the Stars

When you walk among the stars

You cannot see the earth below

All its beauty, lost forever

Unseen, unheard amid the glow

You have to step outside yourself

Look around, breathe your first

There's so much more to be had

If you come down to the earth

When you walk among the stars

The glare is bright enough to blind

And you'll miss the wonders of the world

If you're stuck admiring your sky.
