It's Late And I Need To Go To Sleep

Folder:
Villanelles

It's late and I need to go to sleep.
'Twas giving myself fake expectations
For the light of the moon does creep.

There isn't a secret I should keep
That would, in advance, cause excitations.
It's late and I need to go to sleep.

Wait! There are musical notes I should leap
Across the beats and instrumentations,
For the light of the moon does creep.

Do I have the energy I should reap
For holding mixtapes in glorifications?
It's late and I need to go to sleep.

There are lyrics and samples much too deep
For this outsider musicfag in great notations,
For the light of the moon does creep.

Pity. Another night lost in the jeep
Of creative ideas, going in vibrations.
It's late and I need to go to sleep
For the light of the moon does creep.

This is made on the fly right before I'm going to bed. Plus, this is the first poem I'm posting on Postpoems.org . Isn't that exciting?

Endless Spiral Into the Night

Endless spiral reaches into the night.
Reason by endless spirit is transgressed.
Ignorance is bliss so blinded is sight.

Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And boundless sorrow will remain repressed,
While shimmering white stars do shine so bright.

Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And solemn souls' sadness remains suppressed.
Sealed by shining angels' tears for respite.

Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And sacred joy by the angels is blessed.
While endless whirls spread through sky like a blight.

Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And with joy souls become slowly obsessed.
While darkness takes the sky in lovely flight.

Endless spiral reaches into the night.
And endless joy doth fade slowly in plight.
And by split emotions souls are so stressed.
Endless spiral reaches into the night.

A villanelle about a vibrant spiral galaxy. I am aware it doesn't completely fit the form.

Little One

He is back and forth at the speed of light
In an old zip up that is brown and green
I have to teach him what is wrong and right

To see him run is an amazing sight
Everywhere he goes I must intervene
He is back and forth at the speed of light

He is filled to the top with will and might
My son is three parts sweet and one part mean
I have to teach him what is wrong and right

He will run all day and into the night
We gave up trying to keep the house clean
He is back and forth at the speed of light

Awake the next morning early and bright
Another day with his same old routine
I have to teach him what is wrong and right

We already argue, we yell and fight
He is my duty from baby to teen
He is back and forth at the speed of light
I have to teach him what is wrong and right
