This is a small thought progression poem that I had while trying to talk to my boyfriend who is currently serving in the marines.

This is my first time ever writing a poem. It is for a girl i care about/really like. We've been dating for some time now and she is about to move 8+ hours away after college. Its really short and not anything special but just looking for some thoughts on it. I'm hoping to give it to her with her v-day presents so any feedback would be nice. Again its really short and I'm not a poet, just trying to make someone smile.

And yes I stole a line from lil Wayne lol

I had an extremely tumultuous relationship with my father for a number of years, and this past May he committed suicide...I have since released a great deal of my anger, but the words that I wrote still ring true.

Wrote this after staring at the painting I created one night and is now being used on this site for my profile pic. Still, I have enjoyed hearing from others that have viewed my painting, what they "get" from it... It means a lot to know my art touches more than just I. Thanks for reading.
