Thank You All

One for each and each for one
Of the people who captured my heart
The ones who kept my soul bright and alive
When all around life was dark

To Laura, the completion of me
And the love we share through the times
My heart has been found in your graceful way
And my soul can be seen in your eyes

For my Dark Angel I thank for everything done
Through my heartache and sorrow and pain
3 long years of support and of love
When there was always someone else to blame

For Kitty my little Kiebler Elf
Whos not afraid to say her own mind
Your passion and fire makes me smile inside and out
You are truly but one of a kind

For my almost 18 year old sister
Who should smile but sometimes forgets how
Your life will be one big adventure
Stop being impatient for the treaures to be found

To Diggi who always understands me
You know Vice Versa is always the same
Your battles have all but been won for you
Hope that one day i will also be saved

To my nappy haired traveller from a struggling home
I thank you from the bottom of my heart
For keeping me sane by reminding me that
Being insane isnt bad, its just hard

For the closest one Faeriedust who once flew away
To a better life with a smile
I tell her to stretch her wings and to fly
For destiny waits for you child

To my Littlest sister who smiles outside in
But feels down and out inside
I tell her to learn to smile for the truth is
I know tomorrow will be bright

For the one who lives so close yet so far
Who has helped me more than ever could see
Her selfless ways pave her path to glory
Through all trials and tribulations to victory

To my Scottish kid sister who dares to live
Or lives to dare close to death
You know how I feel when I see you in tears
You'll still have me when life takes all but your breath

To you Psycho, though you may never read it
I thank you from the bottom of my heart
You broke me again after all I'd been through
But each actor on stage plays a part

After you Wish there was none for a time
Who could touch me like you did
I loved you deeply, even loved your child
I hope your life's better without me in

Mr J the drama man from my school
Give me more than he ever shall know
Confidence in life and ability to act
Like there is never anything wrong

Steve-O the guy who taught me to be a teen
How to enjoy my life while I could
How to deal with friends running off without you
Thanks mate give me thought for food

To the girl who i give my first heart to
You will never know me no more
Not know the amazing person I did become
After I slammed in your face that steel door

To the eldest of 3 you did well
In your life though you hardly did try
You was a shit and a gobshite but you loved us
Even though you did make us all cry

To the one whos "Ignored" throughout life
Because of where you just happened to be birthed
In between the eldest and youngest of boys
Yet you've had more attention put together than us

To the man who I hold dearest of all
In my life of dissapointment and tears
Your structure alone could hold up my whole world
Your support and love has kept me through the years

To the Mother I'd die for I love you
From the bottom of my eternal heart
Your love and your hugs keep me going
Always pushing with light through the dark

All those are mentioned affected me most
In my life that is starting to shine
Mostly good, yet always some bad
Your souls are eternally bonded with mine :)

You've been my sturdy lifeline,

that I've hung on to tightly,

while feeling so adrift

out in these unknown waters-

on this uncharted course.

You helped me stay afloat,

all those many times,

when I felt so very alone-

like I was going under

into these tides of emotion.

You encouraged me, continuously,

to keep treading the waters,

and keep looking forward,

to that then, far-off horizon,

that now, is in my sights.

You made me feel,

not so stranded a cast-away,

wandering hopeless,

on what I thought,

was my own deserted island.

You showed me how to survive,

this isolated feeling,

by using what lie before me,

as a beacon to guide me,

to the place I thought I'd never find.

Now, it's there, looming,

not far off my line of vision.

And I can now see, as you all did,

the joy awaiting there,

almost within' my reach.

And to you, who tossed me a lifeline,

on which I clung to,

I thank you with a deepfelt heart,

for being my lighthouse,

and guiding me through, this passing storm.

Reincarnation or Regeneration?

i look with joy on this day you've come

to carry away my limp body.

For me, it is a day of rest -

the beginning of new existence -

but i am sad for you, my dear friend,

for this is a day of no rest.

Still, do not fear, my dear,

for the face you see's no longer mine,

but you shall see it very soon -

i've reversed the polarity of my life.

No amount of worry can come over me -

i need my rest, dear, and time.

Of all the wonders the universe holds,

this is one i can't foresee.

A few minutes now to hospital, dear;

what the future brings, we'll soon find out.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I can't believe I didn't add this sooner!  It started out as a different poem that I have shared elsewhere but forgot the title of, so it is here now "Death Poem".  At the time, I was writing a lot of slightly to very morbid poetry.  I turned one into a Doctor Who poem.

Poem to the Fifth Doctor

He knows how good it is to take a break

after a long, hard, stressful sort of day,

even if a breather he cannot take.

In the end, things are hopefully okay,

but things do not always turn out so well -

praying for time and another thing to try.

Guilt and sadness make for a lonely hell,

which, when brought up, gives him reason to cry,

but, well, life must always go on, you see,

and he doesn't give up that easily.

His sweetness, alien humanity,

perseverance, seem beautiful to me.

His greatest fault: always wanting to see

everything piquing curiosity.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I do love Doctor Who, and the Fifth Doctor is one of a few of my favorite Doctors.

some bit to the Third Doctor

In his lab, see the great, caped superman

sitting, working on contraptions many.

He may not be a simple handyman,

but his works help him foil villainy.

See him!  He is a fighter through and through -

spurning temptation and beating the odds

while to his nature always staying true.

He may have more faults than the old Greek gods,

but his bravery and humanity,

along with his goodness, may them outshine.

And when things are curious, we shall see,

without an answer he'll not resign.

He doesn't believe in magic, you see,

for it's usually technology.

Author's Notes/Comments:

If I said I love Doctor Who, would you hold it against me?  (Har har).  One of my favorite Doctors.

Bridging The GAP

We come here as strangers,

But wind up, becoming friends.

The support, the comfort, the kindness,

Seems to never end.

We brag, we laugh, we share,

These new moments in our lives.

We're an extended family-

Mothers, Fathers, friends and wives.

So many more people make up this place,

Those who love a Soldier too-

Brothers, sisters, girlfriends, cousins,

The love just shines right through.

When someone needs a shoulder,

Or just a listening ear,

They know where they can find one,

For that place is right in here.

On days when its the hardest,

And you think you'll fall apart,

For sure and certain, someone here,

Will help ease your hurting heart.

The joys and laughter and the tears,

Reverberate through, these virtual walls.

As does the fear and sadness,

When our Soldier's duty calls.

There's a solace and a sanctuary found,

When we come here, to spend our time,

Whether its to ask a question,

Or simply to just unwind.

We've bridged the GAP across this Country,

From Sea to shining sea.

With hands extened across each mile,

Its a most wonderful place to be.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is written about a site for ARMY parents/family/frriends, called, goARMYparents-GAP, for short.

(Dedicated To All Who Need It)

- T. Beechey -

Rise up and shine and open that door

A brand new day's awaiting

The temperature's fine, who could ask for more?

Don't waste a minute debating

Whistle a tune

Hum a verse

All your troubles will soon

Flee and disperse

Cast out your line from the golden shore

And all you're anticipating

Shall be the sign you've been longing for

Now that's invigorating!

Get out of that bed and back on your feet

You've got more livin' to do

Start smilin' instead of lookin' downbeat

Breathe in the beautiful view

Of lilies and roses

Fully in bloom

As the owl softly dozes

In his treetop room

You've been misled, your life's not complete

Not even halfway through

No time for dread, there's a mornin' to greet

Drink in its marvelous hue

From the lofty pine to the hardwood floor

There's a rhythm eminating

No more toein' the line or ragin' the war

There's no more time for hating

Love is the key

So strike up the band

Both you and me

Will make a stand

Drink the wine right from the core

That God Himself's creating

It's yours and mine, so let it pour

And start the celebrating!

The nightime has fled and dancin' down your street

Is a sunbeam,pure and true

Lift up your head, there's a bird singin' sweet

And his song's especially for you

Yes,the sun's shinin' bright

And there's children at play

Not one cloud in sight

For at least one more day

There are souls to be fed and friends yet to meet

Underneath this sky quilt of blue

And I know it's been said but I'll gladly repeat:

"You're the best friend I ever knew."

1998 - 2010

I would raise your body from the grave.

If I could,

I would mold your ashes into flesh.

The energy released would be worth –

Just one more day,

One more moment.

To Charleston we went,

And we saw the sea.

Down old dirt roads, some stone streets.

If you had flown I would have

Prayed for wings, a lift

Into the heavenly skies.

Although you cried for Eastern Georgia,

Somewhere deep in Richmond County,

Down the way of interstate 20,

Somewhere east of 85,

I shamefully refused your hand.

Cry once more and I will heed your scream.

Drive and I will ride with you.

I will run farther than my legs can carry.

Hold my number in your memory.

When you visualize Augusta’s sky,

This time I will fight for the front seat.
