A SINGLE BLADE OF GRASS

A SINGLE BLADE OF GRASS

(T. Beechey)

Outside on the lawn

Surrounded by the dew

Captured by the dawn

In its omniscient view

Between the rows of flowers

And,as squirrels and chipmunks pass

Stands in these waking hours

A single blade of grass

Nestled in the shading

Of sprawling oaks and pines

Neither dulled or fading

As the sun so brightly shines

Or shriveled by the raindrops

Forming puddles clear as glass

Through it all,the plips and plops

This single blade of grass

A single blade of grass, stretching towards the sky

Doesn't hamper or harass, never questions how or why

Just accepts with humility its grade within the mass

It is a shame that we can't be as this blade of grass

Even as the wind is blowing

Rustling treetops to and fro

And through each winter's snowing

Underneath that quilt of snow

Lies dormant but awaiting

The shrilled but lofty brass

Of the robin celebrating ---

That single blade of grass

And,at the day's conclusion

When the moon is at its height

And each star's allowed intrusion

Bedecks the solemn night

Beneath it all,this interlude

Has been graced by the class

Of the one who rests in solitude ---

Godspeed,single blade of grass

NIGHTSOUNDS

NIGHTSOUNDS

(T. Beechey)

Somewhere in a town known as Wheaton in the state that is called Illinois

A man named William Pearce stands against the fierce tempations that may shade a person's joy

In a voice that can soothe the roughest edges, but stronger than that it comes against

Each word that is spoken causes bonds to be broken which have left many spirits caged and fenced

Yes,the sounds of the night can be enchanting

But through the silence comes the sweetest I have found

It truly is a miracle, hear it echo through the soul

Listen closely to the beautiful Nightsounds

As the sun settles back for the evening and the moon embarks upon its lofty rise

Warm and cozy we all get as radio dials are set and sound waves which do travel through the skies

Send your message into each and every dwelling and,as one,we submit with pure intent

Making sure that every word,to our ears,is clearly heard since each in its eloquence is heaven-sent

Yes,the sounds of the night can be enchanting

But through the silence comes the sweetest I have found

It truly is a miracle, hear it echo through the soul

Listen closely to the beautiful Nightsounds

We seek solace in the music that is offered, upon each note each soul is lifted high

Each teardrop is dried and fears are cast aside in the Glory of our Savior by and by

We find comfort in the lessons that are given as you read from each chapter and its verse

All our sorrows fade, our burdens one by one are laid at the Feet of the One whose love we thirst

Yes,the sounds of the night can be enchanting

But through the silence comes the sweetest I have found

It truly is a miracle, hear it echo through the soul

Listen closely to the beautiful Nightsounds

Yes,somewhere in a town known as Wheaton in the state that is called Illinois

My Magic Sex - An Ode To Music

You are my sex my magic sex

You make me scream in pain

My frustrations here are evident

You make me go insane

You are the pleasure in my soul

When I hear your voice cry out

You and I so much alike

No one could ever doubt

Where have you been through my whole life

You’ve hidden good and far

But once you’re found and we’re as one

We become a rising star

When we make love it’s like never before

My need for you does choke

As my fingers tease your magic spots

I know just where to stroke

And on hard days I beat you down

But you always come back for more

You’re always there, just waiting for me

You fill me to the core

Before we met I was cold and lost

I was but an empty hole

You are my sex, my magic sex

You fill me heart and soul

WHY ??

I Lie Awake, My Mind Wide Open

To This wonderous world around me

I Think not of joy, nor the tears I had shed,

Its Just A Question that runs through my head....

I've looked for answers, I've found solutions,

but is that really going to help?

Is it only PAIN that makes the heart weak?

Or is it also fame and wealth?

The Question really is NOT that tough..

So I ask myself one last time...

"Why do I lie awake, with my mind so open?"

When I can dream of a world that is Mine...

Mona Lisa

Most Recent

Who are you?

You whose beauty has conquered the wonder of the world?

Whose gaze is fixed upon me

Welcoming me to silent communication.

Mona Lisa - Tell me your secrets.

There is wisdom in those eyes

What were you thinking?

That second, that breath...

When Da Vinci’s brush touched canvas

And created your masterpiece.

Mona Lisa - Did you know

You’d take our breath away?

I see the goddess in your countenance

Hidden beneath your veil

Unfinished yet complete

Capturing the imagination of us all.

Mona Lisa - You inspire me.

Sisters, You and Me

I look him in his starry eyes

And see you staring back

When he smiles, you smile

When he laughs, I hear your voice too

I hold him in my arms, and feel the love between us

Like sisters, we are sisters

You and me

We been through a lot

You and me

You had something for me when I needed it, and I for you when you were short

You had my back when I needed it the most

And now I got yours

We don’t ask for assistance from one another

Don’t need to

A response is automatic

The ‘no problem’ is already a code in our brains

I would fight for, and you for me

Remember when…and that time when…

Yeah, we had it rough then

But sitting here, as he stares at me

You stare at me

And when he sleeps, I see your face

So much love in our little family

Not bound by blood, but by love only sisters know

Yeah, sisters

You and me

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is for someone I care very deeply for. She's been there for me through good times, bad times, and worse times. I hope she loves it as much as I love her.

A MAN NAMED WESLEY

A MAN NAMED WESLEY

(T. Beechey)

A man named Wesley Autrey from New York City town

Along with his two daughters,he's now heaven-bound

He built buildings for a living, but what matters to the Son

His heart and soul by giving the gift of life back to someone

He was just a stranger, but Wesley had another plan

He put his life in danger to save his brother man

Some say that he was braver, but he has another view

He only did what the Savior did for me and you

It was just another day, just like every other day

Wes was on his way to earn his wage and pay

He built buildings for a living,both high-rise and single-floor

But today he'd be giving something that was so much more

As he waited for the subway,he looked down upon the track

There he saw a stranger lay without movement on his back

The subway train was coming,Wes knew what he had to do

Just as the train was humming at full speed and in full view

Without hesitation,Wes jumped into its path

Mindless of the consequences or the aftermath

He lifted up the stranger and put him in the clear

This noble Navy ranger and we sing about him here

He was just a stranger, but Wesley had another plan

He put his life in danger to save his brother man

Some say that he was braver, but he has another view

He only did what the Savior did for me and you

Now,he wants to return to how it used to be

Doing his work to earn his wage for his family

He doesn't want parades or medals for his feats

But there's a Place already made in the Land of Golden Streets

He was just a stranger, but Wesley had another plan

He put his life in danger to save his brother man

Some say that he was braver, but he has another view

He only did what the Savior did for me and you

Ode To The Mortician

I’m a master of destruction

A vague student of Death

You give them a life

I see their last breath

I’m seen all around

And more often than not

Have a special friendship

With Death, and all in lot

I’m given the gruesome details

I’m no stranger to the gore

In truth my job, my living here

Is one you’d all abhor

But someone’s got to do the job

Dirty laundry must be washed

And though it seems unlikely

Roaches, too, must be squashed

I’m a doctor, one of sorts

I live and bleed and feel

But to you I have no purpose

Because I cannot heal

Ink Disease: Ode to the Tattoo

Come on baby bleed for me

Show me where you want to be

Dot my skin repeatedly

Make me ache and make me scream

Feel that needle in and out

Feel the pain and see my pout

Worry not, I won’t shout

I know exactly what I’m about

Come on baby make me roar

Feel the need inside me soar

You saw me coming through that door

I had an ache for your chosen chore

Come on baby make me burn

I feel the blood inside me churn

The rivers of blood are no concern

Soon enough I’ll see and learn

There’s a design for me to own

Painted on my body’s bone

I’ve torn to flesh and all is shown

How much the ache inside me has grown

I’ve felt the pain all over me

Soon you’ll know, soon you’ll see

That for a one time, sizeable fee

You too will knowing the ache and disease
