coming together

Unity

Folder:
Simple Thoughts

"Tragic,

tragedy can be,

with repeating sounds of words,

or screams and cries;

pain is a universal language.

Everyone knows it,

this I believe.

But,

even then, there's plenty

of discontent for which has and has not

been felt,

as though suffering is to be measured.

I've seen it, you have, too,

the pain of the neighborhood,

tires slashed throughout,

just another siren,

crying,

at my end of the city.

Such a pity, and then

the loud clash

of the car crash,

one having smashed into the other,

and in this moment of pain,

this tragedy,

comes unity,

Humanity.

The unprovoked question

of the desire of assistance,

the rush to the scene

seen by me

of the people who live on this block,

calming the sobbing mother,

bringing the young ones out from the cold,

the old man sweeping the broken glass,

no police having arrived yet.

Yet, nothing but pain

bringing us together,

celebrating that everyone is okay.

Silver lining,

pain unites,

every little thing

is going to be all right,

the radio said so."

I recently was invited to be part of my local Lululemons UNTITEd States campaign, and I had such a blast. This is my poem for the them "unity", aptly named.

Seamstress

Folder:
Poems

Split seams untangle the web I weaved

Releasing all the stories untold; havoc soon unfolds.

The walls built over the years, softening my fears

Crumble into ash and dust, all in one single thrust.

Not by violence or force; but by an act of remorse.

Shriveling under the weight of the web, a feeble yelp.

All it took was one word. Help.

Help it seemed was a sign of weakness, almost evil,

How can one ask to put pain on other people?

Now with the walls down, and the light shining in,

Strength is in numbers, we all share the same skin.

These walls weren't protecting, there is no enemy

Instead it was a prison, a trap-mentally.

With the web untangled and the barriers blown by the zephyr,

My fellow seamstresses will help weave this web back- together.

“Proof of God’s Love” (The first Rosetta Stone)

The Rosetta Stone is slab of granodiorite that man wrote one decree in three languages . When it was found it was so amazing and declared one of man’s greatest discoveries…it was the key to deciphering the a lost language of the Egyptians … it took highly trained scientist more than 20 some odd years to painstakingly recover what it said to their best of their knowledge.
This how much God Loves us…a child born between two; first drawn together by the sight of one-another, then sadden when language cannot enhance and insure with words what their eyes, hands and blushing faces are saying, are God's Loving, Living, Rosetta Stone.
God did not want language to be the reason why a person does not have true love…so that's why he gave our children the ability to take in any language spoken to them. They are able to translate and distinguish the difference with proper Grammar and pronunciation with no schooling or effort.
And the whole translation would be done and available in 5 to 6 years stress free with love …..That is proof of God’s Love…and understanding that is more amazing than a rock someone wrote on…not say it wasn't a cool find…but God is Cooler than anything Man will ever find, unless it’s Him…BamBam!!

COMING TOGETHER

Folder:
POEMS FOR MY BOOK

Searching the
canyons of our
minds refusing
to surrender.

Keeping
dreams alive.

Until at last
the portals
of time opens
allowing you
to step
through.

As we touch
feeling the
warmth of
each other.

We must have
loved once
before.

Two identical
energies coming
together
becoming one
making a whole
