Winter is getting really cold,
We need to wear our woolen fold,

Every moment remember to hold,
Your visions in hand,
For which your heart is sold!!

Winter brings in a feeling of being chilly,
We shiver, we shake, and move so frilly…

Winter teaches a lesson strong,
Face me with a smile, and you will live long!

Winter makes you cold and numb,
In life face all challenges don’t succumb…

Make yourself a rock by nature,
Be it Summer, Winter or Spring…

Welcome all with a smile,
Acceptance in life,
Will lead you to the winning aisle!

Author's Notes/Comments:

Winter speaks volumes, pick up messages from nature!

Yestderday's News

Blow your horn loudly,
pretty girl from Portland town,
hear the melody played through the strings of wind.

Winter is over and birds fly north,
just for you my sweet baby blue,
springtime is here.

Wherever you roam trumpets roar,
wherever you go,
wherever you are.

God loves you still,
just like you are,
listen for the string quartet in hearts unbound.

Be still delicate dancing spirits like my own,
depths of the drum hear all you say,
come now all ye singers let us sing another song today.

A Poem of Love

Notes on Love

Just as the Sun chases the Moon across the stars

So does melancholy Winter chase vibrant Spring

Infatuation he gives her

Along with wonders

Of heaven and earth

But the miraculous does not satisfy

Insatiable is Spring’s thirst

For anything different than what is Real

Life gives way to Death

Winter gives way to Spring

Every year, Winter sends great Snows

To hold Spring back

But she is slippery in his grasp

Like a newborn child just pulled from the womb

And she breaks free

Laughing and taunting, taking more from dear old Winter

Her eyes sparkle

Her hair flows

Her hands beckon

And like a whipped dog, tail between legs

Winter sullenly follows

And so, one day Winter will relinquish his frigid grasp on Spring

He will lay down his scepter

And, with it, his cold crown

He will look pleadingly at Spring

As he has done more times than there have been days in the universe

But she will turn her head and look away

Only then will Winter see what he has become

And he shall whisper farewell

Love is Blind

As Blind as a world with no sun

Love is Joyous

As Joyous as fondling a newborn lamb

Love is Chilling,

Wrapping your heart in an icy cave

Love is Determined

As well as Strong

But every mountain

Is laid to waste by the sands

And every castle

To become a Tomb for those who live there

So must Love

Love is Doomed

To Suffocate in its own embraces

To be Deafened by its own heartbeats

To be drowned in its own spilled blood

I feel the chill of wind upon my back.
My skin dries chafes and cracks.

Summer is gone yet still I hear
The silent murmur of an ocean in my ear.

The sun is gone the ground is cold.
The wind is wild, harsh and bold.
This desolation darkens my soul.

Summer is gone yet still I hear
The distant calling of the pier.

In these dark months the time must pass
Like an angel staring at an hour glass.
Hearts sometimes freeze.
Wills may buckle at their knees.

Summer is gone yet still I hear
The murmur of hope as time grows near.

As the sand spills upon the crown
One by one they all fall down
Approaching near the end
Like a time honored friend
The rays greet my cold scarred brow

Summer is here yet still I fear
The encroaching darkness as winter nears.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I love winter yet there is a darkness about it.
