This I Know

Though I was born into sin

My Savior, He died

To bring me back home once again

And Heaven did shake

And the saints they did cry

For salvation of sinners and I

Now this I know

From the scars in His hands

That He died, with me on His mind

He died then He lived, and He rose up on high

The gifted eternal is mine

Now someday soon

The Bride and the Groom

Will join in the sweet by-and-by

The angels will sing

And the trumpets will sound

As we join our dear Savior in the sky

Author's Notes/Comments:

First two verses and a chorus of a hymn, perhaps I'll return to it someday.

Everything is Quiet on the Range

Grey, Grey, Grey again

Out past the river bend

Tip-toeing along the shore

Day, Day, Days end

I'll never head that way again

The Black Angel is at my door

Everything is Quiet on the Range

Children Hum-Hymns

Through the Great Plains

There's Danger in the Stillness

Just Before the Rain

Down, Down, Down the well

Past wishes

Where the secrets dwell

The Great Eyes are open

They Warn of War

Everything is Quiet on the Range

Children Hum-Hymns

Through the Great Plains

There's Danger in the Stillness

Just Before the Rain

Light fills world,
And darkness fades,
Within, without, everywhere.

God Most High,
Loves and cares for us,
Even though we are forgetful;
And thankless,
For most of our life,
The universe glorifies Him.

Plants and trees,
Animals and insects,
Even the silence adores Him.

Flowers smile,
As dew adds its touch,
And the birds chirp His praise.

Naseem* too,
Lends its melody,
In the early hours of dawn.

Rivers and streams,
High mountains and hills,
Sanctify God's uniqueness.

Oceans too,
With their vast expanse,
Humble their might on the shores.

Sun and moon,
All galactic forms,
Speak volumes about Allah.

Why should I,
Then remain heedless,
Of my incomparable God?

As I grow,
Wiser and wiser,
My faith in His Oneness abounds.

His blessings,
And countless favors,
Make me worship Him truly:
Without compulsion,
My soul proclaims His greatness.

"O Lord God!
Forgiver of sins
I find peace and love in You".

"O Creator!
And my Protector,
I am yours, wholeheartedly".

"Even this,
"Is but Your mercy,
O my Allah Almighty!"

*NASEEM: Early breeze of dawn...filled with a fragrance of freshness.

After the Friday congregational prayer
The clouds came with hints of a shower
All I can feel is the invisible power
Of God and His merciful cover
Hiding the sun and its simmering heat
So that His creation can remember and retreat
How their Creator always cares for them
We may forget Him but He? No...Never!

Sweet Death

Oh, Sweet Death!
Take me in thy cold
embrace. Enfold me
with the eternal gloom
of thy darkness!

Sweet lover! End this
pitiful charade called
life. End the torment
of unfullfilled dreams.
The lust and pains of
the flesh.

Make me light as dust,
as smoke blowing in the
wind. Light, untethered
and free. Forever released
from the chains of life.

As the moon ascends and descends,
Amid the bloom of floating stars,
Invisible light streams guide it through,
Its journey around the Earth's heaven.

All is quiet and at a standstill,
Yet the glory of praise is chiming on,
From our limitations to eternal spheres,
Proclaiming: "God! Yours is the dawn".
Exalted is Your greatness' form,
The soul finds no substitute,
To the grandness of a beautiful morn!
