Blue Skies & Butterflies

Sunlight gleaming, golden glimmer~
Dragonflies flutter, iridescent shimmer.
Winter fading, new life showing~
Winds if change, gently blowing.
Wrapped in warmth, natures embrace~
Rays of happiness dance on my face.
Blue skies, butterflies, distant laughter~
Dandelions & dreams, chasing after.
Sleepy sidewalks sprinkled with pink~
Yesterdays blossoms, gone in a blink.
Amethyst, fuchsia, apricot, blush~
Paint the sky with heavens brush.
Willows weeping, growing shade~
Crickets singing, twilight serenade.
Black & blue & glitter star-shine~
Thieves of day, criminals benign.
Cheshire moon now smiling hello~
Darkness falls, sunlight must go.

Sunshine in My Eyes

Folder:
Nature

As I'm sitting outside,
the sun is everywhere I look.

When I glance over at a truck,
the sun shine bounces
off the glass and metal.

It rebounds back at me,
and shines into my eyes!
Then, when I look around,
everything is all blotchy,
from my eyes' reaction
to the sunshine.

After a while,
it clears up,
and I'm able to see
clearly once again.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The other day I was walking, and I kept getting sun shine in my eyes, and I desided to write a poem about it! Please let me know what you think!

Under The Blue

Folder:
Poetry

The words that have the power to transcend time and trend,
the music that has the power to bury itself into minds born long after,
the beat that moves the heart and the soul,
now that's power man, true power.

Something to Ponder

Summer breeze; How you pass
Meant to cool but not to last
Heat steady beating on the top of my brow
Sitting and watching as trees take their bows

Watching you

watching me

Bathed in a shaft

of perfect peppered sunshine

I always wanted an hero

 who was only mine

The heavens were kind to me

 you came home

Motherhood

The bright sunshine glows unto my face

Highlighting all the details of my features

Enriching the contours and depth.

I lay in the sunshine

Which beams through my window

Thinking about the days to come

and how different everything will be.

Having her cry, laugh, smile

Seeing the love through our eyes for one another

The miracle of motherhood

the life changing experience.

Watching her grow from a tiny infant

to a toddler and eventually into her own person.

Excitement flows through my veins

As I await the arrival

Longing to see her

To nurse her

To take care of her

So much to look forward to.

My little Angel

My baby Becca!

THE SUN

it is a perfect day to feel a little morbid...

the winds fill the ears of the trees with painful melodies
and tears of the sky fill their being with long forgotten sorrow...

the earth shakes with tremor, like a sobbing body,
the groung opens, with a hideous smile, dribbling with red
glowing spit, waiting to swallow some hazardous victim...

tornadoes are dancing, deadly ballet of nature, taking to their
frenzy, anyone to their fancy!
leaving the stage empty, apart from the spotlight of the
thunder and the dying sound of the storm....

the rain will wash away the last remain, witness of his beauty.

behind the great shadow, the sun is waiting to take the
stage and rob his friends from the applause again...
