Faith

Seeds Of Contentment

Seeds of Contentment

As twilight creeps across the sky,
I pause and reminisce
Recounting all my blessings,
despite life's vast abyss

While silently recalling thoughts
Such as the rose in bloom...
like a gift from above
Come the gentle arms of memory,

to encircle those I love
Be it parent, child, spouse, a friend,
the joy good neighbors bring
Throughout the year I'm grateful,

for a multitude of things
The beauty of the butterflies,
sweet fragrance of the flowers
The bounty of the garden

I have tilled for countless hours
There's something therapeutic,
In time spent with mother earth
One cannot help reflecting

On the measure of one's worth
Knowing this is nature's legacy
to me, and to all men
I'll look forward to tomorrow

when twilight comes again

Hollow Ground

Hollow Ground

Like the effluent rose, failing to blossom,

I am stranded
With no defence I sit and wait for the inevitable storm that will strip me of all my colour
All my emotion
All my life
Rain cascades like tears down my withering body.
Battered by the elements as i stare at the ground, waiting for it to consume me
I am weak
I had faith once, i used to admire the ocean of blue above
My beauty is still ever present, but it’s invisible to most
I am invisible
The world that we live in is a picture of serenity, but the earth is filled with parasites
Preying on the weak as they make their way to the top
Forgetting all they once were
Staying true to yourself is a dying art
And not everything is how it appears before us
But even though i’m suffering,
I am still a rose
And I am still beautiful

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this for a very special girl who's soul has been turned to dust.
Taken in with the promise of light, then consumed by darkness.

Inside all of us is ourselves

We just need to come out once in a while

Depression's Defeat

Folder:
Soul Poetry

Its such a deep, murky pit,

that drags you on under,

From the sobbed teary rains,

and your own personal thunder.

I cling desperate, to the walls,

in my life's effort to get out

Fingernails digging in,

I climb the only known route.

Escape is most essential,

for this aching, inner struggle,

As both the depression,

and the sanity, I juggle.

Brought about by pains,

of both my body and mind-

Some the result of abuses,

others have mentally assigned.

But never will I break,

and never fully, will I fall.

As always before, I'll come back,

-much stronger then them all.

For up at the perimeter's lip,

God's Hand extends outward, to me.

And His Amzing Grace, like always,

Lifts me up...and sets me free.

Everybody Needs God

Everybody needs God as much as they need air.

Have faith in the Lord and he'll always be there.

A church ran out of food that it gives to the poor so that they can survive.

The Preacher told God about the dilemma and a truck full of food arrived.

God is wonderful and he works in mysterious ways.

He will always be there for us, he'll never go away.

Love's Design

Love's Design

I put my trust in you my friend,

You know "Our Love", it does transcend.

Your Love for me is ever true.

It brings me Joy with Faith in you.

The day will come when we will Shine!

This "Love" we know is "Loves Design"!

It will transcend through space and time.

To bring us closer in a very short time.

Just know my dear..."Our Love" stands out.

And we'll be together, cause "Love Rules Out"!

That's what "True Love" is all about!

It's "Loves Design"  without a doubt!

Written & Composed By: Denise Hall-Campbell

1 John 4:16. God is Love...1 John 4:19  We love each other because

He first loved us.

Genesis 2:24. Therfore a man shall leave his Father and Mother and be joined

To his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Ruth 1:16  Your people shall be my people. AND YOUR GOD, MY GOD.

Prisoner of Lore

Foretold once was a place begotten in
the Legendary War of Mankinde.....
faire in wealth and luxourie but void
of love and charitee..
But blind are not who root in povertee
fancy by foe, for foe forgot
once a war
raged on in these lands
but now led to become who
once was won by ways of war
and the villainee they abhorr.

Poem: New Age Spirituality

Why settle for a counterfeit
when you can have the genuine thing?
For the purpose of "new age" spirituality
is replacing God with the Human Being.

Working from a false assumption
that Man is essentially good,
will lead us down destruction’s path
as History has taught us, as it would.

The fight for supremacy
of our human souls
is still being waged by the Devil
under his planetary control.

Humanism has its agenda
that’s carefully worked under Satan’s scope –
our demise is his goal, but settles
to leave us without any hope.

Unbound Faith

Faith is unbound by extremist pressure,
Lick the wounds of a liberal fissure.
The point-blank wound given an emissary,
A Soluble cure for the target preliminary.

A fast food chain of asphyxiation,
We give up hope for the stationary.
All falsehood gospels of visionary,
Cough and whine under political disciplinary.

Short, but to the point, I would think.

Your Loss

Folder:
2014

What we had was real

What we had could not be denied

Well, what I felt

Its too bad you didn't realize

That this was until I lost faith

For months I kept this flame

Until you burnt me

By not realizing my love

And the moment you do

I had let it die within me

And had started another relationship

It was only about a week old

But I didn’t want to allow

This one to get away

Just because you said 'jump'

Yes, there were many things that

I could have done differently

But there were many, many

Things you could have done too

No, I am not like you

Yes, I am similar, but not the same

So, this is the last poem

I'm wasting on you

Because after this, you are

Out of my head

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this for an ex. Yes, I did get back with him about a month later, well at least I tried to.  But he couldn't get past the fact that I dropped him. In the end, it was his loss.
