I did, yes. My dad took us to: I did, yes. My dad took us to church, growing up, and we'd noticed the religious symbolism Aaron kept around himself.   Thank you, regarding my dad. I find the situation cruel, but I am grateful for your kind sympathies. Much gratitude, both for inspiring memories in me and for your kindness towards my related share.

I don't know if you saw the reference to The Imitation of Christ, the book he kept in his locker.   What a beautiful story you told.  People in assisted living places should have the same rights as others... to go out, and to receive visitors who wear masks.  God bless your father and you.

I remember seeing an old tape: I remember seeing an old tape featuring a HR derby between Aaron and Sadahara Oh - the two greatest home run hitters in the world at the time they competed. I believe Aaron won by one, 9 to 8. Though I was too young to see Aaron play (outside of old footage), he was a favorite of mine growing up. My dad was a Ruth guy, and we'd debate who was better. Baseball was something in our family, for sure. I can't really watch it anymore, it's way too corrupted, but if I could sit with my dad again, I'm sure I'd make an exception. Unfortunately we have been banned from seeing my dad since March, who resides in a care facility, thanks to the current rules of the land.   Thanks for sharing. I had no idea he was a vegetarian, and I know little about astrology - an interesting read.

I can hear the similarities: I can hear the similarities now, imagining it. I once lived on a street close enough to the beach to experience both sounds - the beach just a short walk away - till one day the sea really did come rolling by my front door.  But this brings back seasonal memories my senses rather enjoyed. Thanks :)

Chihuahuas are wonderful: Chihuahuas are wonderful companions.  Ours is now elderly, and we dread the day she has to leave us.  But we know she will be safely received in that place where the rest of creation will be restored on the Lasy Day.  Although she is quite elderly by now, her expressions of affection are still full of "puppy-ness."  I was surprised to learn, some years ago, that, unlike dogs that have descended from wolves, chihuahuas descend from foxes.
