death

SORRY

WHAT DO YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO HAS

LOST SOMEONE SO DEAR

WHO IS THROUGH DEATH'S DOOR SO FAR AWAY,

YET SO VERY NEAR

WHO IS REMEMBERED WITH HAPPINESS

AND YET AT THE SAME TIME WITH SADNESS.

WHOSE SMILE AND BEAMING FACE

WAS AS BEAUTIFUL AS THE DAWNING OF THE SUN

WHOSE DEATH IS LIKEN TO

THE SILENCE AFTER THE FIRING OF A GUN

DOES ANYONE REALLY KNOW WHAT TO SAY

SORRY SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY WORD ON SUCH A DAY

Author's Notes/Comments:

another cumulative effort with a dear friend "Jo-Al" ...I had to be reined in so as not to get too deep right D hehe...is there such a thing I wonder??...as always I am unsure but I do know that sometimes sorry doesn't feel like enough!
what a deal!

SEAGULLS IN DISTRESS

11.09.2001

for my friend Elize

Oh you seagulls in distress

moaning shades of manmade flames

flying perplexed from my dreams

crying out all vanished names

Oh you seagulls in distress

circles of a hollow maze

Death is but a short caress

echoing the halo Phrase

Oh you seagulls in distress

phoenixed from demolished dome

veering towards safer Nest:

rest in Love, Eternal Home

Author's Notes/Comments:

I was in Seepunt, Cape Town, SA at that time: the seagulls never slept ...

My Leave, I Take

Alas!

  Dear precious friends

  These words now penned

  Ink of my veins on

      paper writ.

Alas!

  Show no sorrow

  Shed not tears

  Lest emotions befit

  I take my leave.

Oh!

  Dear precious friends

  I will take thy cup

of hemlock now, and bid ye

  farewell.

Oh!

  Follower of Socrates,

  your words pierce through

my heart, yet fear the pains

  of death.

A Peaceful Death

His body slumped; he came to rest,

His last breath wheezed out of his failing chest,

His limbs became limp; his body became cold,

His heart had become weakened, tired and old.

To his right sat his wife, with a tear in her eye,

She knew this day was coming, so never asked why,

She sat there looking into his eyes, holding his hand,

She had lost her best friend, her lover, her man.

Like a daisy in the wind, with no known destination,

His soul left the room, never looking back, never hesitating,

His wife sat by his body, her sad smile moistened by her tears,

She knew his spirit had left him, she knew he was no longer there.

By the time her last tear had dried on her face,

His spirit was in another realm, another time, another place,

And although his death, had taken a while,

It took only his last second, to see his beautiful, adoring wife, with closed teary eyes, and a smile.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Death isnt always as violent as portrayed through the media.

Walk Away

Just turn and walk away

Forget the words you want to say

Hold back the anger boiling rough

Just walk away forget your tough

Unclench your hands held in fists so tight

just forget about it, relax tonight

But instead your anger burns to hot

You turn back around believe it or not

You push your way back through the crowd

Clench your fists, ego proud

One hit, two, three then four

You just keep hitting until he's on the floor

But you can't stop now, your out of control

Revenge you Sought, his life you stole

Crippled body on the ground

People walk by, keep stepping around

But now you did it, you wen to far

You walk away and get in your car.

But he's not moving, he lay still

Avoided, had you not taken that pill

While he lay sleeping never to wake

while you sober, not remembering your mistake

A terrified mother cries out her goodbyes

You high mind still stupidly fly's

Your out of touch with time and place

You have fallen so far from grace.

When I Wake Up.....

I've gotten really tired all of a sudden.

My eyes are getting heavy.

I took a lot of pills and I can't srop crying.

My life can't get any better.

When I wake up I will tell everyone how I really feel.

I don't want to hurt anyone.

I'm sorry but when I wake up I will no longer be alive.

I have fallen asleep and I can't wake up.

Live or Die

Live or Die, Live or Die

That is the question

Live or Die

At times you want to live

others you want to die

The decission is your's

now you can answer your prayers

Live or Die

You want to live

but you live in hell

so you think about dieing

Yet you are scared

so you suffer the pain in hell

and ask yourself

Live or Die

And This Is The End

So this is what the end is like?

May I take my final bow?

If you read about my life,

Would it affect you?

And how?

I have conquered devastation and fear.

Grieved deaths of those so near.

I never gave up the fight,

Until I saw that guiding light.

And where do you think the story nears?

An unseen death, so many tears?

No sir, not for me, not here,

Because I died of too many beers!

911 Incident

Through ashes to ashes,

Your existance slowly blows away.

In that lonesome wind,

Your existance vanished.

Though body and mind are gone,

Memories still remained.

They are burned in the hearts,

Of everyone of us that survived.

So this is me sayin goodbye,

To all those of you that sadly went before your time.

Take care and see you in the next life.
