Dad, I Miss You Dearly

Your stature was muscular,

     yet, petit.

Your height five inches

     over five feet.

You were a tower of kindness

     and strengths

Your forgiveness stretched to

     great lengths.

Words were not your forte.

You spoke only when you had

     something to say.

Your laughter contagious of

     skits outrageous.

When it came to confrontation

You appeased both sides.

With tactful consideration

hence, all would abide.

As a Father you instilled

     virtues of merit.

As a spouse,you protected

     "the Lady of the House."

Your unconditional love willed

      heir apparent.

An incurable malady struck

      you down.

You never complained,even when in

      excruciating pain.

Your life ended early leaving behind

      those who love you dearly.

Upon your wishes you rested into

      the ground.

Though thirty years have past yet,

      even to this day

In my mind and heart you will

       always stay.
