Icarus Syndrome: . Captured on cell phone and cctv. I miss instamatic cameras. That aside, it could be the fall that kills you, captured in flight, if you survive the fall miraculously, the media blitz could cause heart failure. . If pride goeth before a fall, what goes with the screaming before the landing? ~S~

I Seek My Place In Line: This week. The two jab quest to walk the world again masked to protect the uninjected who can not take the jab-jab is at full throttle. The immuno-compromised are at risk - less than a million have died world-wide. Contacting full blown disease may have a horrid long term pain outcome - it is a throw of the die chance - the vax has and will kill people. The choice is individual. usa pledged to vax lesser poorer state residents in 2022-23 as nat'l security program. After usa says yea or nay. . To vax or not to vax is not a question, it is a sign of our time.  Will proof of jab determine who works? Hmmm... . Kinda ot into the irony of the pome big time. Nove rhetorical device - hit all the bases save masking efficacy,  Mutation strains - nury still out, and hinans as herds - - a hoot; rather, a moo. . I found contrails and the fake news conspiracy belief in chemtrails from jet exhaust. Cloud seeding is an excellent metaphor. Have to admit would be efficient means of knocking off huge portions of  the usa's citizens; a wind gust might take out Florida to D.C. though instead of Cuba.  Ot good. We drop bombs or would poison the food supply. Jonestown style,  . ~S~ . .

By the way, kudos for: By the way, kudos for mentioning the 1994 genocide. People are rarely invited to recall that.

Hopefully, as a contribution,: Hopefully, as a contribution, I offer these thoughts: The key, I think, is to keep us all in a state of "it's almost tomorrow." Never realizing, if a success, that - sooner or later - tomorrow was yesterday, as we continue to think "it's almost tomorrow" for the rest of our days. In the vein of that thought ,what if it is already true that 'almost tomorrow' was said and gone, yesterday?

lyrycsyntyme commented on: Ode To Space Forces Rising by lyrycsyntyme 5 years 5 weeks ago
I wasn't thinking of Vampire: I wasn't thinking of Vampire Eagles - more of the slitting of the vein in the throat that various hawks enact to kill certain prey - but I would none the less like to nominate Vampire Eagles as a new name for the "Space Force". So much more honest - and visually imaginative. If we're gonna do it, let's at least be poetic about it, right?   Indeed, just in case that earth thing doesn't work out....

I imagine your 5 year plans: I imagine your 5 year plans work out better than they have for government. We all need to seek decompression in this world.   As for publishing - that would be a fun project to see put together. I'm all for it.

Thank you for the compliments: Thank you for the compliments - glad that you appreciated the write, Stella.   Great ideas, in politics, are a funny thing - they rarely form into action in the physical world. And, even when they do, they are often done so because they finally fit a profit scheme, or are quickly manipulated/abandoned/retracted/forgotten for profit and power.  1885, when Lady Liberty arrived, was the height of the Industrial Revolution in the U.S. By no coincidence, inviting immigrants was on paper, beautiful for enriching lives, but in reality, most beautiful for the rich participating in a profit scheme that created the greatest inequality in the U.S. history until this past decade (immigrants were the cheapest labor available, w/o minimum wage). Of course, later on, 'brown people coming to the gates' renewed a chance to have sub-minimum wage labor in the U.S. (and flood the job market, also freezing the minimum wage for a long, long time), but only as long as this new labor force was deemed "illegal", and therefore not subject to worker rights. The long terms effects of imperial colonialism on South America created this new opportunity, to begin with, of course.   In light of this, I don't know how much the new administration is going to do to change things. DACA will be re-implemented (but the Supreme Court had already ruled in favor of re-implementation late in the previous admin), but I don't think the ruling class wants to flood the job market too much more, considering there's already a huge shortage and while massive distractions are preventing a real revolt, I doubt they want to risk tipping the scale. So I imagine the current "flow" of people crossing the borders, and of those being sent back, will probably continue at a similar rate. I would expect typical politics: president says "I want to make ___ better", nothing good really happens. But media outlets will make a big deal, anyway.   And I very much with you that those who do become citizens will be voting for whom ever the "D" is, by the way. Rack up those voter rolls.

Thank you, Sue. :)  I'm glad: Thank you, Sue. :)  I'm glad you enjoyed traveling along with these words. It's a beautiful scene, for sure. And that 'soft spot where the thaw will first strike' seems to be thermally fed by a glacier-cut boulder (whose top is almost shaped like a seat, mind you) that emerges from somewhere deep below the soil. It's quite amazing.
