Know-It-All

He who knows it all

Truly knows nothing.

My father,

A wise, man of honor,

He always told us

That the reason we were blessed

To live in America,

Is because the higher brother

Was always looking down on us,

And watching over big brother

As big brother fell hardest

During times of egoism.

*

I guess that's why

I believe 911 was staged.

*

It was,

Staged.

I don't know

enough to know, I do know, I lost some really great friends to the terror, whomever was responsible, I know it is easier to blame it on hatred and lothing of some kind, something I don't understand. But I remember it, like it happened yesterday, it is still an open wound in my heart and still brings this man to tears...

Nightlight,

I don't know what makes you bring your disgust against your big brother and intimacy towards the cult of 9/11!  Nevertheless, I take it as a great write of yours and appreciate you.

No disgust, Ben. It is

No disgust, Ben. It is disappointment in what so many died for in the past perhaps. Ben, please try if you can to understand. America as a nation is like a baby. We are only 200 years old. We are as a nation, a baby with a dream..a dream that maybe the world one day can become civilized enough to settle differences of opinion without violence, and that each person is human and worthy in their own individuality. Other older countries may see this as a  fantasy when they look at the way children are being raised here and the breakdown of the family unit, but it is truly the dream of all righteous and peace loving Americans. We made many mistakes, and had many leaders who created big misunderstandings with other countries. We spoiled our children to the point of many of them now adults, having grown without realizing the importance of human virtue. We sold our right to respect from many countries through our wastefullness of natural resources. It can easily appear as if another country was the initiator of 911, but I am not so naive to think America is so naive, just because my president says something is so. The president of a democracy is in the end, just a pawn who poses as a leader, and the people behind the scenes are "supposed to be" his eyes, create his perception of what is going on in the country. Apparently, there were many during that administration whose perception was way off point, and I'm sure they will never man up to it.

...and so another day in the life of the human being, and how she/he creates drama and confusion through his own making.

Underneath all the rubble of the 'implosion' of the twin towers... (which was bizarrely obscured from light in the aftermath), I see a new day that was born. We are only in the wee early morning hours of that day, and there are many with guilt and fear as it dawns upon us. Many (like President Bush and the Iraq war  "pep rally") still feel fear, anger, frustration. They reflect the "youth" and arrogance of the young 200 years nation we are. That too shall pass...and we will grow up and mature, and hopefully bring the dream of many Americans to the hearts of other countries, because gunpower, hate and destruction was never what held the dream together. What held the dream together was the hearts of the people in search of a better life. They just happened to make many mistakes and lack appreciation once they found it.

Do you think the world can ever forgive us, Ben?

Well, there are lots of

Well, there are lots of people who claim they have proof of it, but my reasons come from just my experiences of growing up here, and common sense.

Thanks for reading impysh. I have to get around to reading more of your writes. Maybe later tonight.
