Short and Bitter

Folder:
Rebellious Poems

Roses are dead

violets are gone

welcome to war

evrething's wrong

no lives left

to repair whats done

and this is what is that lies above

and those bellow

who cry in pain

may your suffering not be in vain

for you are the ones

who work all night

to protect those

whose inocence is pure

Author's Notes/Comments:

(This poem is not perfect)

The poem is a short mockery of the truths of war and is meant to provide my feelings on war and the impact it has on people.

I hope you enjoy!

ONE EARTH...ONE LOVE

The universe is filled with dark and empty stars and planets…

floating in thin air…

devoid of life and love…

at night…you can see them everywhere.

But Earth was to be different…

We’ve been given life…

We all breathe the same air…

We’ve been given one planet to care for…

one planet we’re meant to share.

And we’ve been given one love…

it floats upon the air…

one love…to bring us all together…

one love…we’re meant to share.

But…

Until we learn to share our Earth…

our love…

with everyone…

everywhere…

We’re just another dark and empty planet…

floating in thin air.

One Chance

We have one planet,
one Earth...
one sphere on which we reside
One chance to get this right...
one magic carpet ride.

One moment in time...
one shot...
one juncture...
one opportunity...
One chance to come together
as one world....
one family.

Destiny has has placed us
onto this wonderful expanse...
And destiny awaits to see...
What we do with our one chance.
