Infected

Zombie myth#4 The only way to kill them is to shoot them in the head

While this is the fastest way to put them down, it is not the only method of killing them. They only appear to be impervious to other methods because of the overflow of adrenaline caused by an altered brain. While they can be put down with stabs and shots to the chest, they have the ability to withstand an incredible amount of punishment. Also Attacks to the head area saves ammo consumption which is critical to survival when forced to confront either a group, or a single infected individual.

In the distance, the silhouette of a long forgotten building reached out to hold him.

Lost In The Night

Folder:
Camino

Like the shadow of death that falls upon the dying in their final hours,
hordes of the nameless hungry;
the condemned masses, descended upon them slowly.
Like the savage worm that courses through wet earth in relentless pursuit of the lying corpse,
thousands of heaven's exiled, crawled from places dark and unseen.
Against the last remaining wall of protection,
they slammed, mindless, mad;
raving like the demon infested swine of hell,
the lust for for the last living souls burned hot in the night.
In shock, Carlos stood, frozen in fear, as he gazed down from the grassy hill over looking the maggot ridden streets of the city.
The walking death, the infected, had found them, now their sanctuary was quickly giving way to the soulless and the rabid.

"Come on...we have to go." Selena said, as she grabbed his arm. "We have to go now."
