The innkeeper does not know: The innkeeper does not know how to think.  He can only react . . . like the patellar tendon when the doctor taps it, or like a noxious arachnid searching for prey.  In neither case is human thought required.

Thank you for writing that. : Thank you for writing that.  Decades ago, for the Hisitory course requiired during Junior year of high school, I did a rather deep study of Mein Kampf for a 51 page book report (10 pages required by the assignment):  the statements made in that book are eerily similar to remarks coming out of the White House.  Events, also, seem to be aligning for a repeat performance:  is Charlie Kirk's death an event similar to the assassination of the Nazi "spokesman" Horst Weisel?

Excellent poem.  The Gospel: Excellent poem.  The Gospel expects believers to show mercy, kindness and acceptance.  The innkeeper who presently lives in the White House is not a believer and, apparently, is unaware of those requirements.  His constipated ignorance of the Gospel will help him rip apart the fabric of our nation without a pang of conscience.
