My friend knows me---

---knows the REAL me.

Because of that friend,

I AM who I REALLY am.

From out of all my past

I've become what you see;

and for THAT friend

I'm now MORE than I am!

This reminds me of My friend Inge that I lost to Cancer recently. She was always my mentor and did much to help me become the person that is now me.

It also reminds me of the heavenly friend that I know we both know. Which did you have in mind when writing it?
