More About Me

What I want you to know about me...

I enjoy inflicting unexpected joys & affirmations to those whom I deem deserving, yet unsuspecting people. Writing, reading, being rejected.

(Sorry Kim, for the all-caps) SO ACCUSTOMED TO MAKING BAD CHOICES THAT IT IS AMAZING THAT I DO SOMETIMES MAKE A GOOD ONE!! AND THEN THERE ARE THE AWFUL CHOICES THAT WE DO NOT MAKE, BUT WHICH JUST SEEM TO HAPPEN TO US. WOW!
SOMETIMES THE NOURISHMENT OF OUR SOULS IS HARDEST TO UNDERSTAND WHEN IT SEEMS BITTER, YET, AFTER A BIT OF TIME,WE SEE THAT GOD'S CHOICES WERE THE BEST OF ALL FOR ALL INVOLVED.
BEAUTY REMAINS AS BEAUTY, NO MATTER WHAT MAY INTERPOSE ITSELF BETWEEN OUR PRESENT AND OUR PAST. GOD HAS "LONGER" EYES THAN WE DO. BEAUTY REMAINS AS BEAUTY, NO MATTER WHAT..
I DO view life as a soap-opera, not vice-versa, & I WRITE FOR THAT AUDIENCE, NOT ESPECIALLY FOR MYSELF, BUT YOU CAN SEE THAT I HAVE FEELINGS, TOO, MYSELF. I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM NEW FRIENDS, & OLD "FRIENDS" ARE STILL WELCOME (& UNFORGOTTEN). "PAST LIVES": don't bother to write.
ANALOGY
Aren't we all, rather
"birds-of-same-feather"?
Don't we share all-the-same-need:
sun, shade, friend, and feed?

Don't we all recycle ourselves
all throughout our lives,
giving, hoping, yet getting
less and less, despite constant trying?

Day after day: breathe out, breathe in,
but knowing Life is much, much more than
mere days, or breath: it's HOPING!
And SOOO much Love, just for the taking!

So many loves, and lovers we'll never meet,
but some, Oh!, the time spent is still sweet!
Nourishing each other's hearts, we dined and laughed!
We drank, and we'll NEVER mourn the wine we've left!

No day! No night! Joy is endless!
Bless you, Internet: I'll never be friendless!!

About My Navel

A tripod cannot be stable with only two legs; a true relationship requires God, too, in it.

Favorite Stuff (poets, poems, quotes, hobbies, etc.)

''When I have ceased to break my wings
against the faultiness of things,
and learned that compromises wait
behind each hardly opened gate,
when I can look Life in the eyes,
grown calm and very cooly wise,
Life will have given me its Truth,
and taken in exchange----my youth. (Sara Teasdale)

{Dear Sara, may I augment your brief poem, please?? ::
But Sara, ''Youth exchanged'' is not a loss;
both ''Wisdom'' and ''Refuge'' have their cost!
That cost--'though dear--is ours to decide:
to venture and grow, or to timidly hide.
What '-I-' have chosen doesn't seem ''compromise'',
for dealing with Fortune has made me wise.
And in fighting ''faultiness'', I've never felt ''used''!
But your feelings, I feel, for MY wings too are bruised.

''Reality is all we have, yet sometimes it's not enough; but it's all we have.'' Geno Raymond
