Same here.  It's better to listen to what others have to say, their opinions, or what their side of the story is before you can go in deeper to resolve an issue.  Otherwise, if you don't take the time to listen, there is a huge tendency to listen to our own mouths shouting off at someone accusing them of this and that.  Something I've learned to lessen over the years.
