Judith Sargent Murray

She wrote "On the Equality of the Sexes" which basically stated that women's disability lay in their lack of education.  This is significant because she argued that women aren't trying to become like men, but that education was necessary for them to raise and establish civic minded sons who will lead the Republic of the future.

She is significant during the early development of the United States arguing for the right of women's education.
