Written in 2007 After I realized I was holding current potential guys accountable for past jerks. It's human to be careful after being hurt in a relationship but important to remain open minded and to try to trust until/if you're given a reason not to. I just wish that was easier to do LOL

I wrote this poem shortly after my girlfriend and I broke up.

The question addressed to Cupid still stands.

Love is all seasons in disguise.

Nothing is as precious as the pearl that has grown in the oyster behind my ribs.

A way to say: "You are always in my heart!".

She was sad... I was sympathetic, but Love made use of that moment and entered our hearts uninvited.

A close girlfriend of mine (we were just friends) cried on my shoulder after her boyfriend left her.
