Feeding Frustrations (Haiku)

Karyn Indursky

Giving him small bites.
He sticks his hands in his mouth.
Getting frustrated.

Trying to stop him.
He shoves his bib in his mouth.
If you stop, he cries.

Calmness attempted.
Trying to get him to burp.
It's to no avail.

Put him on his back.
Moving his legs up and down.
No gas will release.

Spitting up on you.
Getting it all over you.
Wiped up, but still stinks.

Feeding Me Words

Feeding Me Words

By Karyn Indursky

You need to back off with your words.
I've heard them a million times by others.
They didn't and don't live up to what they had to
and do say.
I don't know if your words ring true, yet.
Maybe, I never will, but neither of us is going
to know if I can trust you if you don't show me
instead of just saying what you think or know
or feel or sense or acknowledge that I want
to hear.
You need to be yourself instead of
feeding me words.

I know you, but I don't.

I understand you, but I don't.

Annoyed with people.
Batting claws at bare feet.
Take a hint and leave.

Being very moody.
Awaiting your stroking hands.
Just don't try holding.

Meowing at your feet.
Biting at your exposed toes.
Hide beneath covers.

At the computer.
Watching a movie. Napping.
The cat will attack.

I can't figure these feelings out.

They're not quite right.

I can't be tied to anyone.

How can I meld with you?

I hardly even know you.

You've just entered my world.

From out of nowhere.

And though I want to trust.

There's something bigger going on here.

Bigger than me.

Bigger than us.

It's about creativity.

I didn't come here to fall in love.

Or maybe I did.

I agreed to take that ride.

But if it's in real life.

I feel I want to hide.

I gotta go to sleep now.

See what answers come in my dreams.

This love I have is bursting at the seams.

How can I tie it to One when my heart sings for a collective mind?

What would I see if I opened that forbidden
lock to the cabinet of my life?
What would I find on the labels?
What would the dividers look like?
What would the labels say?
Would the cards be nice and neat or a mess
like my chaotic life?
Could I destroy the parts of me I don't like?
Could I get rid of my sins?
Could I forgive myself and others?
Could I live with the guilt?
Could I trust myself again?
Would God forgive me?
\Maybe, I just shouldn't touch my life's

I want to make you salivate
for my baked words on the stove
smelling of delicacies not tasted
by anyone yet as the scent lingers
deep into your drooling soul
until you're licking your chops
thinking about eating, gobbling down
each tender morsel of my specialty
displayed luxuriously before your growling eyes
drinking in emotional ecstasy
as I set my bowl on your place mat
knowing you'll slop with your clumsy hastiness
in devouring my labored everything to
fill your belly with poetry.

Fiona's Stew

Fiona's Stew

Fiona's Stew
Karyn Indursky
July 2012

Upon a brick wall
sat Humpty Dumpy
watching the Jester play ball...

Humpty Dumpty was talking trash
for the Jester couldn't hit at all.

He laughed so loud, so hard
that his eyes began to water
and his shell began to crack.

The Jester was mad.
How dare he laugh at him?!
A mischievous grin appeared on his face.

He grabbed a bowl
to catch Humpty's oozing yolk
and beat him with a fork.

Along came Superman
to try to save Mr. Dumpty,
but he was too late.

Superman's temper was flaring
like a siren
and the Jester become broth mixed with eggs.

If he couldn't save Humpty Dumpty
why share dinner with
Princess Fiona?

Princess Fiona was thrilled
and added some carrots, green beans, beef, red pepper
for stew.

Shrieking mortals sizzle tastefully
upon my jutting out tongue
catching each delicacy quickly
before I lick up delicious remnants
of their gingersnap bodies feeling
creamy as they slide down my
sloping throat while I'm devouring
scurrying critters after frying them
without any remorse or after thoughts
cluttering my mind when I scorch shelters
while my stomach acid digests every
crunchy snack faster than bolting lightning
threatening to end my scrumptious feast
and I frown deeply for I am a hungry
fire breathing dragon.

sparkle  our skies as together
we embrace our loved ones
and appreciate our triumph
over obtaining freedom from
other countries. Fireworks
sparkle our skies for decorating
the colors of our love of what
we've fought for, died for, live
for. Fireworks sparkle our skies
for unifying our struggles to
survive and conquer. Fireworks
sparkle our skies and together
there is nothing stronger than our
love for ourselves, each other,
our earth, our beliefs, our
independence, our freedom, our
liberality. Fireworks sparkle our skies as
we lead ourselves into a promising
future of America's accomplishments.
Fireworks of independence.

Flight Regulations

since conception

ive tried to please you

achieve for you

grow into something worth breathing and calling life a gift

not a disease

but is it my disease

is it the lack of what i achieve

if you never trust me, how can i trust you

if you never have faith in me, how can i ever have faith in you

more importantly

how can i trust myself

how can i have faith in myself

how can i ever believe in anything that no one ever has

more importantly

if you never let me go, how can i fly

bruised

restrained

worn

but not used

these are my wings

caged

restrained

detained

useless

if you never unlock the door

trust me with the keys to myself

if you never let me, how can i

how can i fly

if you never even let me try

and the pressures of my surroundings

burn my skin

pick at scabs

become scar tissue

destroy my lungs

steal my breath

capture the essence of my spirit

still in the cage

still on lockdown

my wings are growing and shattering and tearing as they meet these bars

just because no one let you out until it was too late for you

why does it have to be too late for me

why cant i spread my wings

why cant i fly

and when im finally let out

will i even care anymore

as the weight of the years crucshes any desire

when i finally break free

i will fall

i will die

i will be weak

just like you

thank you

Flourishing beauty
from a seed nourished by

where the ideas are seeds to grow fresh plants

with opportunities flying like doves

dangling earrings of  imaginations across skies?

Shall I use my fingers or my toes to count

how many ways words express liberating freedom

singing from the hearts of true writers

where the drums of meters help voluminous emotions?

Shall I count my flowers to see thy petals

tell me how to love poetic license and use it

enchantingly across paper with quill ink personality

showing tales of Shakespeare's inspiration?

So long as thy day grows with white roses

thy cheeks will blush like reddened noses.

Flowers Of Dove

Flowers Of Dove

Karyn Indursky

Your poetry is like a bouquet of flowers;

it flourishes with splendorous diversity.

Your poetry is like a bonnet of roses

rippling its colors of diction.

Your poetry is like a vase displaying sunflowers

with foundations of formats.

Your poetry is like fertilizer sprouting babies-breath

in the soils of friendships.

Your poetry is like a woven basket holding a tree

with its buds of versatility enlightening gardeners.

Your poetry like a daisy packet

with seeds of inspiration ready to be planted.

Your poetry is a field of flowers

with ravishing beams of picturesque imagery.

fluorescent warmth

Happiness
A state in which we can all agree
is a state we wish to be
A feeling of nothing else
But a swing that never descends
Grass that only grows
light that never bends
No need to show
Nothing to defend
endless rows
Completely stenchless

Seeking is a game played until one realizes
There is nothing to find
This is it
Perfectly here
Now.

The sun rays flows into the wind combining into an element of pure lemonade
This essence flows through the energy I call myself

Fluttering Butterflies (abstract)

Fluttering Butterflies (abstract)

Nervousness gradually grows
until it's developing
uncontrollably inside your
warm belly while
tickling you relentlessly
with its laughter
going unheard when
your frightened eyes
widen to its
maximum capacity before
courage extends help
in capturing every
last one of your
fluttering butterflies.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Amy Riberdy inspired me to write this poem with her going home and enduring some frightening things. Good luck and much love, Amy.

Fluttering Open Blue Eyes

We look at each other
every day of our motoring lives
without truly seeing
who and what we're looking at.

We look at each other
every day of our engineered lives
without ever truly seeing
complex internality's.

We look at each other
every day of our ticketing lives
without truly hearing
what matters the most.

We look at each other
every day of our cranking lives
without truly hearing
the essences of being.

We look at each other
every day of our echoing lives
without truly smelling
aromas of wafting flowers.

We look at each other
every day of our ricocheting lives
without truly smelling
fragrances of nature's wonders.

We look at each other
every day of our automobile lives
without truly tasting
rainbows of life's flavors.

We look at each other
every day of our accelerating lives
without truly tasting
citrus acids of God's creations.

We look at each other
every day of our jolting lives
without ever truly feeling
the freedom of emotions.

We look at each other
every day of our traffic lives
without truly feeling
what and who we have.

Shall I fly our American flag high

Shall I fly our American flag high

Shall I fly our American flag high

Shall I fly our American flag high

Through my hands
I feel the scars
etched deeper than

Through my nose
I smell soggy tears .
from pain acquired
over years, but trying
to heal me now.

Through my tongue
I taste tainted lust,
but hope my heart

my true love.

Through my ears
I hear God
answering all my prayers
and know
no matter what awaits

Follow Shamelessly

Frowning silently in the corner

Waiting for the world to blow over

It’s a cruel and painful world

Full of such menace and hate

Walking on thin ice

Slip but a little and she’ll fall to her fate

Forced smiles are common

Like the lies that escape her lips

Bluffing is her game

Twisting a thick bed of thoughtful tales

That we will gullibly believe

While she lays and she cries

Slowly she dies

She wants to be strong

But she’s going about it all wrong

Flying with clipped wings

Dangerously close to the edge of insanity

If only one could see

How wonderful it used to be

Instead of falling under hypnosis

Shamelessly believing every black word

It’s all going to hell, and we aimlessly follow her.

Zoe was scribbling lyrics
into her notebook
beneath an oak tree.

Trent came over to get
his football back.
He loved her curly
auburn hair and baby blue eyes
with her beautiful singing.

He went to pick up
the ball and their hands brushed,
eyes connected, and they kissed.

Fireworks crackled
and at that moment...
she knew she had
the man of her dreams
with their hearts rhythms
beating to the same drum.

Together, we'll find ourselves
stronger than imaginable
in your time of need
and my time of giving you
eternal guidance in
my friendship built upon

Has left me numb

Forgive me father

Forgive us all

See nobody is perfect

But life must go on

Forgive your children

For Insurance Money

For Insurance Money

Karyn Indursky

Divorce is not an option
for a blue collar man
beating his trophy wife again
with his rock hard fists
connecting to her cashew skin
before her bones begin crackling
upon impact with the cellar
door before rapidly tumbling down
steep stairs only to meet
his pistol pressing into her
sequined dusty rose halter dress
after her golden honey hair
is saturated in her blood
from him pulling at it
viciously to see her green
apple eyes widen in horror
without an ounce of consciousness
left in her after he
more than happily kills her
for insurance money.

For Jess,
who longs for my poetry,
here goes nothing.
Writing poetry
isn't that easy.
It makes you put so much on the line.
You don't know how it's going to make you feel
or where it's going to go.
You don't know how it's going to make you feel
because sometimes it's just scary.
Sometimes, it makes you realize things
that you aren't ready for
or don't want to admit to.
Sometimes, the beckonings in my head are just too much.
Sometimes, it's easier for me to stray away from waht I'm feeling or thinking
because what I feel is almost always intense.
For you Jess,
I want you to know that I won't stop writing poetry or sending it to you.
I just want to leave my feelings and thoughts bottled up for one night.

Stripped down to nothing
she stares at white ginger
breasts not perky enough

her buttocks not small
enough for her happiness
or her toned legs
not measuring up to
high standards or her
skinny arms not quite
perfect or her dainty
hands without long fingernails
to mock her dreams
and her burnt orange
hair stays pinned up
like her secrets
hidden behind her Alabama
eyes showing confidence below
external beauty when she
finally sees she's beautiful
upon looking out her
child's eyes touching her
healed mind lightly to
hug her from the
inside out and suddenly
knowing she's created
God's children hits her
upturned lips more delicately
than flower petals
left to be seen
for remembered beauty.

For The Brokenhearted

For the Brokenhearted

Karyn Indursky

For the one-eyed wanders of love
who have yet to find that right person,
I offer you some guidance in faith.
The one is out there, but everything takes time.
Yes, the past does hurt, but it makes us wiser and stronger.
Yes, it would be easier without the pain,
but it builds character.
When you find the right one, you'll know
when you see their eyes, smile, touch their hand,
when the simple things mean the world to you.
You'll know when they love you back when you talk
with your eyes and body in the most intimate ways.
You'll know when you can just hold that one person
and feel complete by just having them in your arms.
Keep your heart open, spirit free, and time will heal
your pain as God teaches you patience, love, etc.
You won't always be brokenhearted.

For The Life of Me

Sadness seeps into my heart

It's all done now, it's gone

I feel so lost and so far away

My heart feels like a stone

Too heavy a burden to bear

I wonder where it all went bad

I don't know when we lost our way

For the life of me I cannot find my way back

Even though I see the train headed for the cliff

It's a suicide run straight on to the end

Headlong into the the place of lifes regrets, we go

We draw nearer and I see it too clearly now

The ring is broken

Trust is gone

I don't see you anymore

I have struggled to find some small piece of you

Some part that could find it in your heart

To keep me from leaving

There is no longer any anger

No judgement lives inside of me

I hope you find your voice

Take a step toward finding peace

Let go of the that bundle of twisted wreckage

It holds you back and...

In this world it drags you down

Set it aside

I wish I could be here when...

You finally find the courage

To let it all go

I've been holding on alone and in the dark

I've searched for the words,  for too many days

I thought if I said something magical in the just the right way

Then maybe you would see that it's just me loving you

Only wanting you to feel free and lighter in your soul

I wanted you to join me in this place of contentment

Yesterday is gone

Tomorrow never comes and so....

We've only have this moment together

It should have been forever

For Those Like Me

Most days, I can't bring myself to lift this pen,

To admit these feelings,

These thoughts that race through the maze that is my mind,

To be honest with myself.

I pulled all of the petals off the rose,

Suffice it to say

He loves me not.

Forever the optimist I will be,

And forever that will be my downfall,

If that has not already come to pass.

As I lie awake,

Unsure of all of the moments we shared,

Hopelessly I fall over and over.

Sometimes I fall through the gap,

Sometimes someone catches me,

But never has anyone broken my fall.

Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

Karyn Indursky

Oh,
what I'd give to have
that one forbidden fruit?!
Just to taste the sweetness and tenderness
even the bitter parts
would be ecstasy.
I want to run my fingertips
over the smooth sweet skin...
to hold would even be better.
That fruit is so tantalizing!
I want to put my lips on
that sweet skin and lick it
for the devastating taste and feel.
I want to hear the sound
of my teeth biting into it.
I want sweet tickling juices
running teasingly off my tongue
to my lips to my chin to trail
down my throat.
Then, I'd be in bliss
until I'd wipe off the juice.
Such a succulent fruit
to eat, taste, hear, and such,
but, yet, it's forbidden.

Together, we are lost, yet comforted.
In the chaos of it all,
we find strength, faith, love
in one another.

Stars crossed,
the moon sailed through our universe
to keep us together.
You fought my feelings.
I fought yours.
Unspoken words/actions created a barrier.
We worked through it.

Stars crossed,
the moon sailed through our universe
to break us apart.
You went your way.

Ever since the day,

That you went away,

My world has been cold and gray,

To see its not there,

Telling me its okay to despair,

Good-bye my love,

Forever and for always,

Good-bye my love,

Forever and for always,

I'm left to stare,

is how he showed me sticking up for family is more important than what your friends think.

Forever in my heart
is how he showed me to live for me, not for others.

Forever in my heart
there is a legacy.

Forever in my heart
my feelings flow randomly.

Forever in my heart
I structure these feelings to learn more about myself and him.

Forever in my heart
is how I know to be me.

Forever in my heart
is how I know my love for him still goes on.

Forever in my heart
is me still learning from him.

Forever in my heart
is the message he left me in my dream.

Forever in my heart
is when he told me, "Some things don't have to be spoken."

Forever in my heart
is the information he's imprinted in me.

Forever in my heart
is all that he wanted to be and still is.

Forever in my heart
is that he's an angel and probably my guardian.

Forever in my heart
is how to speak not from my mouth, but rather from my spirit, soul, heart.

Forever in my heart
is how I can share my feelings and lessons through my writing.

Forever in my heart
is how I can keep him alive in a new found way.

Forever in my heart
is where I want him to stay.

Forever in my heart
is where he will always stay.

Forever in your shadows
as you see
every woman, but me.
Forever in your shadows
as you date
each one solely, but me.
Forever in your shadows
as you break up
with them, not me.
Forever in your shadows
as you cry
over them, not me.
Forever in your shadows
as you find
your bride, not me.
Forever in your shadows
as you slip

Forever in your shadows
as you love
her and your children, not me.

Forgive us

I say to you don't make me mad I'm warning you that I'm vengeful. You think I'm asleep cause I show you peace and help you out like a man do. Old testament cause I don't want your soul, Jesus told me to replace him. I don't want slaves your soul should be free and honor God like it was meant to. Let truth be told the sphinx the door and y'all walk the bears yea I'm old school. You say you love me yes I love you too. Different idols yet it's all the same. Division is monetary gain but that can only take you all so far because debt is what that's for. Then when debt gets too big to hold, fire and the spoils of war. You are me and I am you. No one's more or less than you. So when demons in pigs take life to raise your anger in a lie. Conquer enemies with love and if you die be placed above.

Forgive Yourself

Forgive Yourself

Karyn Indursky

Oh please forgive me

for I am a mere human

and I can forgive you no more.

Oh please forget

how many chances

I gave you that I lost count.

Oh please erase

your memories of

how I expressed myself

and I got shown the door.

Oh please forgive me

so my redundant actions

and verbal exchanges

can hurt me more,

but all is fine

IF I'm the bigger person.

OH please don't mistake

my deep apologizes

that I am human

and when I know I'm right

about how you talk, treat people

I hate saying, "It's okay. Don't worry about it."

Oh please don't be mad

at me for expressing my honesty

as you dismiss mine repeatedly,

but pretend all is fine.

Oh please don't look at me

I feel torn like a paper

as you shredded me

in emotional perplexies.

Oh please forgive yourself

because I can't stay to lie

that it doesn't bother me

or hurt what you've done

or cutting words you've used.

Oh please forgive me

when I tried to have our issues

resolved and wanted a happy ending

we both could live with

for communication is vital.

Oh please forgive me

brought before you as

we'll pretend nothing happened

because confrontation

would make it worse.

OH please let's

go play "make believe"

and act like dolls

who can all get along.

When I look at you it's like the world
Stops spinning around
When we talk it's like your voice is
The World's Greatest Sound
But when you touch me it seems like
I'm just your play toy
And now I'm thrown in the corner Forgotten

Forsaken

Forsaken

By Karyn Indursky

Forsaken love was once what Kim wanted,
but, now, she doesn't.
Her dreams of any type of love are lost
in the dark windy cold night.
She doesn't want to risk everything for love
to only have her heart broken into
millions of pieces.
Kim turns away from the man before her and leaves
the forsaken love behind.

Fountain Of Life

Fountain Of Life

Karyn Indursky

Twisted strands of lemon drip
down coconut skin gingerly
until brushing seductively against
melted bubble gum pink fabric
gently sticks to feminine curves
trying to hide beneath faded LEI
jeans covering bruises never noticed
when sparkling mossy green eyes
tell happy lies to anyone watching
her facade being performed routinely
as hollow insides eat heartily eat away
morsels of her whimpering soul begging
for a spoonful of genuine happiness
before she etches external scars deeper
than the bottom of the Mississippi River
automatically in her bedtime release
of letting out tainted blood
one droplet at a time
until it flows more rapidly than
white water rapid emotions
daring to come out from hiding
untold secrets while her blade slices
through paper thin veins easily
and leaves a still body in taking her
fountain of life.

Framed Nature

Framed Nature

Karyn Indursky

Upon a mountain top she
stands with swishing winds
whistling sweet melodies. Upon
a mountain top she stands
in sandaled feet as fabric
winds itself around bold
curves of her slender body.
Upon a mountain top she stands
with her apricot skin shining
and looking good enough to
lick, suck, nibble, taste. Upon
a mountain top she stands
with auburn brown hair
blowing recklessly while crystal
blue eyes smile at watching
nature's beauty and her mind
paints picture more magnificent
than anything crafted until
her brush spreads watercolor
on to canvas and conveys
glorious findings. Upon a
mountain top she stands
stroking in fine details of
animals grazing, flowers blooming,
sunshine fading, Mother Nature
hovering. Upon a mountain
top she adds textures until
you can feel her emotions
pouring, seeping into your
eyes into your soul. Upon a
mountain top she stands
blending water droplets until
it doesn't look like a
painting, but reality. Upon a
mountain top she stands
watching the moon cast
it's curtain. Upon a mountain
top she stands sliding her
masterpiece into reservation. Framed
nature.

Freak Show

Karyn Indursky

I could be
a freak show...
all by myself.
I get so
many gawks, stares, comments.
I'd be rich
if all I got was a dollar
for people's rude
behaviors and comments.
It's as though
they've never seen
sunburn before.
Yes, I have it really bad
on my face, arms, shoulders, legs,
but I shouldn't be
treated and looked upon
as a freak.
When this sunburn
turns to tan
I will no longer
be a freak show.

Free Among Angels

Free Among Angels

Karyn Indursky

Before an opal mirror
sits a woman staring
absent-mindedly as she
pins mole black hair up
in a perfect bun
while she beautifies herself
with various cosmetic expertly
to hide emotions behind
Montana eyes speckled with
bitter lies spinning around her
tangled web of hearing
voices from the past
telling her she's inadequate
as visions of abuse
filter through her senses
like an electric shock
before her scissors dig
into releasing tainted blood
from her hollow body
rejoicing in achieved freedom
upon drenching her white dove
fabric eagerly while she
floats into heaven to be
free among angels.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was written about the many women struggling with abuse issues from growing up in a tainted world and how it leads them into self-mutilation where most people would feel pain, but they feel release because there is no other outlet for them and they embrace death to be away from the internal destruction killing them daily.I have to defend the people who chose to take their own lives. Sometimes, being alive for people is worse than being dead because of the inner turmoil eating them alive, abuse inflicted upon their bodies, and they torn apart souls. I'm sure if women and men felt there was another way to survive from their depression/anxiety they would take it, but to them this is their reality and it's their only way to be free from abuse.

Life is a canvas
On this canvas are paintings of many different scenarios
Each painting holds a personal relevance to each of us
Your painting is nothing to me
My painting is every thing
vice versa
The paintings are constantly fluctuating through out the so called years
Fading from one color to the next
one image to another

Paint, water, liquid portraits of what we believe ourself to be
What a depression to cling to such things

But beneath these colors and these images what lies?
Isn't it a blank canvas allowing such madness appear?
The source where all ....the source where all is witnessed
I didn't paint this
Inever wanted this
It just is happening and for as long as I fight it
That much long will I live in spite
Spite to life
to myself
We tend to focus on the image before it's painted
Ignoring the very stroke taking place right now
How can the image be without this stroke?

Is there something that's left to be revealed?
A bunny in the hat perhaps
I do not know
Maybe it's best
Is all this a test, can we be allowed to rest
To lay our heads upon the pillow of God
And discontinue living in fraud
I;m not merely this body
This is no secret, but it's quite significant
Why must I feel that happiness is secret
discreet

Freed Of Abuse

Karyn Indursky

Screaming words cut deeply
into her honey face
not uttering a word
back to him even
when he cracks her
bare buttocks with his
thick leather belt repeatedly
after pulling her long
bamboo brown hair hard
in getting her to
concede to his pounding
fists breaking crackling frail
bones as her shortbread
blouse drips blood stains
down her panther encased
track legs until her
pale gray eyes are
covered with a gasoline
drenched cloth before he
ignites it with his
best dad's cigarette lighter
before she is involuntarily
dying in scorching flames
as she is finally
freed of abuse.

Fighting satan I am Michael, I am Lincoln and the reaper I was thinking. Felt alone at the top. Don't really own many things. I can get who I want. I really love all the same. I'll always show you love and sometimes might get upset. Like me and dislike me because I am the truth. You might think I replied but not everything I say is directed at you. Raised by my mother a warrior in these streets. My fight is with demons my people I will keep free. Different frequencies land of nightmares and dreams. I chose to become a man protecting you from my sins. I smile at your disrespect and I forgive your betrayal. I have come to understand you were just seeking attention. Now my infatuation for you is no longer existent iskra I'll always be your friend time for different pictures. The white, red and black almost turned me against y'all. Left me pale and in hell with those heartbreaking lessons. Still I managed to forgive and I rose one more level. Now I love from a distance. The outcome of forever.

Freedom

Karyn Indursky

Let freedom ring...
everyone say and do as they please.
Don't consider the other people around you
or how your behavior, attitude, etc. affects them.
Just be selfish.

It's not like it matters anyway, right?
Why do you care?
So what if they don't accomplish things over you?
Who cares if they care?
As long as you have freedom, does it matter?

There are rules, boundrie, etc. for reasons.
It's not always out to hurt you.
Maybe, you can accept it,
but, if not, that's too bad because you're not the only person who deserves freedom.

Freedom Of Expression

Freedom of Expression

Karyn Indursky

Freedom of expression
sets me free
when I stumble
across
writing my poetry.

Freedom of expression
awakens me
as my words flow
with a pen on a paper
to create my poetry.

Freedom of expression
livens me
as I set forth
my true essence of being
in my poetry.

Freedom of expression
captivates me
as I release
all the words, feelings, thoughts, ideas, emotions, longings, etc.,
into my poetry.

Freedom of expression
toys with me
as I find the right words
to say just what I feel, think, and what not
into what looks like only
my poetry.

Freedom of expression
suffocates me
with a cloud of emotion
as my hand
tells all
in my poetry.

Freedom of expression
is all I need
to show you
the me
behind the imagery
with my poetry.

Freedom of expression
empowers me
as now
I am ready
to share with you
my poetry.

I feel as if a fool for believing myself, for as I utter my beliefs like a spool of wool, I know that I drool of pure lies, even in my own eyes.

I wonder what it is that know’s this, for it can’t be me that see’s this fleece of pretense

It’s as if secret when you look for something true

One will look with intensity and find nothing but the bill for your own dues

There must be a place from which one can stand that is unadulterated by the substance that we create in our heads

In bed when our heads will finally rest, are our dreams a test or are they are what they are, it’s as if all is a question, it’s really quite bizarre.

It’s hard to understand what even get’s me out of bed in these troubling times, life feel’s shallow, all treble and no bass line.

The scars of the past hit me as if they happened today, like when it’s the weekend and you SWEAR it’s a Tuesday

I don’t know who I am, it’s a loss of identity,I’ve strayed far from my home, I am now a foreign entity, that hurts itself mentally, where self motivation is of little nor crucial importance, basking in apathy where hell makes you cozy.

It says you are free while it straps your heart to the concrete.

These are all just feelings that are being wrote, not doing it for fun, nor as a joke. More as a goal, for some clarification, that all that weighs on my shoulders prove to be distraction, making the road home seem longer than intended.

Freewrite....made my hands hurt

Can I release any resistance within me so my fingers can stroke freely upon what my mind has spoken

I retrieve a token that has as if fallen from the sky, I look up and see nothing but light, I look down and see nothing but fright

What iare these labels in which are instilled in my bones, Have I grown from the day I was born to the day I had sworn to to be something?

The dawn comes slowly as does the night, as I close my eyes, I project delight in accordance to what has been to ingrained to be right, all that is left to do is wright, about the topics that seem to shake the ground on which I stand, shaking my core to widen a crack, as if a smack to awaken from a drunken haze, GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF, you silly man.

The keys upon which my fingers rapidly tap is a light from my lamp that reflects radiantly back, just a description, significant or not, does it matter if you're battered inside by what I write, I think not, I think it's up to you what makes you feel justified or makes you feel rot, I have been taught to fight with every ounce in my body to what is real, I have been taught to reject any happiness that pertains to a different schedule, I believe it's cruel, but than again what do I know, I am just a man in a world surrounded by paintings, that in them too have their own swirl of uniqueness that binds them to a pole that is sinking in the middle of the ocean, everything is in motion, as if no stability, I try and be still to the best of my ability, but still my cells are moving,.Can one own cells? How would one even tell, I dispell anything that is processed through this brain, and than I claim it as mine, and whn I question myself I scurry in fright, like a rat upon a ship that has set sail ffor a long time, doesn't know what he had gotten himself into does he?

No, it never does

I will cry myself asleep tonight

I will sleep without love

On both sides stand two walls

Walking alone

Unaware that it is a maze

They say it's so simple

I'm gassed from my brain

Peaking from over a summit

The shadows cast against the rocks

it is for me it seems

The thought crosses as I fall

I want your love, your guidance, your hope

They say it's me but I don't know

My only option is to go and die

To be alone and no more cry

A eulogy for blood still warm

If I don't try the pain won't swarm

Listen to me for no one else will

Don't you see I am lost

From disgust of  symptoms

My lust and it's intentions

Where is my recognition

I'm clumsy and itching

Still sitting here, still in a dream

Beliefs are so cruel

I'm as if in a duel

Two spirits battle within

It's not even real

I search for some light, I search, I search

Even to eat, I no longer strive

I write many letters as if to say goodbye

Fresh Start

Fresh Start

By Karyn Indursky

Near the door, he decided to stand.
As he stood, his legs began to shake.
All who were watching couldn't speak.
A silent fear ran down his spine.
Memories crawled into his head.
His eyes became glassy and cold.
A slithering tear met his cheek.
He stood there watching his family.
Slowly, he backed away.
All of his relatives were now his past.
For the final time, he made sure everything was ready to go.
There were no "good-byes" or anything.
Maybe, they presumed he'd come back.
They were wrong.
This was for good.
Turning back wasn't a choice.
He was ready for a fresh start.

deteriorate into nothingness.

Like an electrifying vampire
he seduces you with
lusty long eyelashes beckoning
your throaty pleading moans
until he undresses you from
the inside out and turns you
into crumpled piles of
crimson velvet.

Like a sea-monster blindfold

existed, but now those very things

Each person makes it grow.
As people get closer, each part gets defined.
Weak friendships make the other parts weaken.
Everyone contributes.
All of the parts are equal.
Blossoming occurs when friendship are at the their best.
It never stays the same.
Friendship is a gift like a flower.
Share the wealth and see what can happen.

Friendship Bracelet
Karyn Indursky
September 2012

Shall I compare thy's friendship to a bracelet?
Thou art more dazzling and enchanted.

Clasping clips onto dainty wrists
With symbolic charms smiling at you
Without any teardrop memory lists
But thou red heart pounds with a blue-lit night

Caressing fragile skins of sisterhood
Within the confines of acquired trust
Hands holding onto bridges of friendship
While touches of memories pour honey eyes

So long as the tides crest and hands entwine
Thou'st shall be thine diamond bracelet friend

Throat after your inferred insults

That didn’t think I was smart enough

To figure out, but as I did.

Don’t’ scamper away and regurgitate

What you said with my blaring blue

Eyes digging into your soul.

I have no forgiveness

Until God gives me a helping hand

Towards moving on from fake friendship

Thou art more patient and tender.

Flapping pages do skip into red hearts
With your poetry adding sweet splendor
Imagery dancing with creative parts
But thou muse gets caught in a poet blender

Etching riddles in every single line
Within the chambers of inspiring minds
Painting hand-crafted stanzas on a vine
As canvas artwork begins to unwind

So long as the moon shades and eyes can read
Thou'st shall remain a book of poetry.

Friendship's Courage

Friendship's Courage

Friendship's Courage
Karyn Indursky
September 2012

Once upon a time there was a fortress
hidden in an evergreen forest filled
with flowers of friendship.

Lady Annette and Princess Alana were sisters
off to see their bestie, Prince Winston,
but he was being held captive.

Lady Annette was no stranger to using fencing
and wiped out four guards with her
diligent hand making them clank the floor with
a thunderous thud.

From behind King Milton grabbed Princess Alana
and pressed his razor-sharp sword's blade
against her swan neck until it began
to trickle with droplets of blood.

Lady Annette had tucked a dagger into
her garter belt with the distraction of a
tanned leg she was able to grab it.

Princess Alana used her elbow
to jab him in his gut as hard as
she could while Lady Annette
slayed him with her dagger.

Prince London was King Milton's bodyguard
and tried to kill them both,
but Princess Alana wasn't going down
without a fight or let her sister be slaughtered.

Princess Alana took the sword from King Milton's
dead hand and stabbed Prince London
with a fierceness that won the victory.

Lady Annette and Princess Alana were shaken up,
but together they were one heck of a team
and sliced spider webs while overstepping skeletons
to get to her best friend, Prince Winston.

With Princess Alana making sure no one else was there,
Lady Annette broke the shackles with the heart of a warrior
and the three of them went on an ebony stallion
race to freedom.

Friendship's Flight by Karyn Indursky

Shall I compare friendship to a dove's flight?
Thou art more graceful, creative, and pure
With thy poetess hand flying like kites
Into canvas skies of her love's allure.

Wings of emotion flutter into eyes
Tickling velvet feathers of diction
With thee's fingers caressing keyboard keys
For exploring her poetic fiction.

Liberality waves rivet her hand
With the guidance of her romantic heart
Soaring upon tranquility's free land
Etching within her soul of a sweetheart.

Alas dove's darling air kisses shall dare
To skimmer across the lips of the page
But her imagination starts to flare
Like a sizzling candle wick of sage.

So long as the whispering winds blow
Dove's flight of poetic friendship shall flow

Frigid blue eyes glisten like ice-crystals

eclipsing her poetic heart.

Frigid blue eyes harden like a soldier

is what she's lived to survive.

Frog Kisses

Frog Kisses

Karyn Indursky written with Dove

Upon a green Lily pad sat a Frog Prince

Croaking songs of freedom" Freed with a Kiss

how could a Princess he convince

Upon a lily pad he made a list

I shall inpress her by catching a fly

or perhaps I jump up as far as I can

and grab a bright shining star way up high

and place it at the tips of her sweet hands

Then the Prince knew what had to be done

He'd tell her "I love you with all my heart"

So he croaked his love, it was so much fun

The Princess fell for him right from the start

She kissed the Frog Prince on his tender nose

And like great magic a Real Prince arose

of how to kiss a princess in love's fog

where in his small arms is where she belongs

Ms. Princess heard his lovely serenade

and her emotions started to change now

for boyfriend material is he played

a new role in her life and he took bows

Sir Frog kissed Ms. Princess upon her lips

and he began to transform into Prince

a smile was creeping with dancing hips

making them dancing partners ever since

so long as there are frogs croacking their songs

sweet romances are where they shall belong

Frog-Leg Soup

Frog-Leg Soup

Frog-Leg Soup
Karyn Indursky
July 2012

Upon the golden brick road
was Dorothy sporting
a tank top and denim skirt...

The Tin Man needed oil...
The Lion needed courage...
and Dorothy needed the wizard.

Dorothy found the Tin Man first.
She used her W-40.
His joints began to fiddle.

They headed to the Lion,
but there was a witch,
who wasn't letting them through
without solving a riddle.

Dorothy couldn't figure it out.
The Tin Man was stumped.
This had the witch laughing.

In desperate need to shut the witch up,
Dorothy took her high-heel pumps
and knocked her out.

The Tin Man stole a bottle of water
after Dorothy unlocked the door
and they poured the water on the witch
to make her melt upon the floor.

Together, they found the Lion.
He was smiling ear to ear.
Dorothy looked so pretty.

The Tin Man was envious...
Dorothy was oblivious...
and the Lion began to chatter.

Dorothy got them to walk
with her while they discussed
finding the wizard.

Gumdrops started falling from the sky...
Skittles started to jiggle on trees...
and chocolate flowed like a river.

They decided it was a sign.
Slowly, they proceeded to swim
in the river of imaginations.

At the end of the river
was the wizard
with a glass of milk.

Dorothy chugged it.
The Tin Man got more oil...
and the Lion found the courage
to ask Dorothy out.

Dorothy was happy
to balance her sugar,
but wasn't willing to date.

The Lion wouldn't listen...
Dorothy got pissed...
and Tin Man lashed out.

Dorothy didn't want the drama...
The wizard slipped her his wand...
and they turned them into
frog-leg soup.

From An Unknown Darkness

From An Unknown Darkness

Karyn Indursky

Traveling through your poetry is
traveling through your white rapid water adventures
in a canoe not knowing when the water will splash me
with raw emotions and daring images dangling
from the sky like giant feathers tickling my soul
to make me laugh
before I cry out
not in agony, but
sheer delight because
I've come into new light
from an unknown darkness.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem originally as a critique to Shaketa Copelin's poem, "Stretch," and had to post because it feels like poetry pouring out my soul.

From Love to Hate.

You tried to change me.
You manipulated me.
You lied to me.
And you still have the audacity to get mad at me.
You aren't worth my time,
Or my observation.
You aren't worth my love,
Or my affection.
If or when you read this,
I hope you'll recognize what I'm saying.
When you receive your next kiss,
I hope you'll be paying.
The bible says to forgive,
And to forget.
I say to not live,
And to regret.
What you've done is unforgivable to me,
The things you say are insulting as such.
Now I hate you as far as the eye can see.
And I could never regret loving you as much.

From the gutter it leaks

From inside the window does outsides play appear to me

Obscured from rain that leaks from the gutters

The gutters...Accumulated filth

Autonomy is the dictator of this sad living

Mirages are my master

love my craving....Love... has been limited

Therefore it is gone, for beliefs draw over my eyes

Such as the drapes to the window I pull

The outside play seems as if it provides little assistance

Only solitude in which I wither inside

Is there hope somewhere in this hell that may someday provide

But that hope is gone, it's nothing but ice

I sit now as a stump from a once prosperous tree

Just stump with no action and no sense of living

Oh how many self-judgemental thoughts come in front of these eyes

as if shadowing any light that I refuse to let in sight

Synapses frailed and I move in resistance

There's little to be said for one who is encrypted

Especially when the programmer can't even depict it.

From the Shadows

From the Shadows

Karyn Indursky

From deep within the dark shadows...
a light showed with elegant beauty.
Far and wide, people traveled to see it.
No one was pure enough to get it.
Contests were held weekly to find a ruler.
Winning never happened.
They were all losers.
Everyone wanted the light without thinking, trying, etc.
What did it require to enter the mysterious light?
After a while, the people gave up.
Years later, it was noticed that the light was spreading.
Dumbfounded, people clustered around the opening.
Seeing in was not quite possible.
Groaning came from behind them.
Lost in contentment, the gut-wrenching sound was ignored.
The crowd slowly parted.
Emerging through the path was a figure draped with a black gown.
Closer and closer the figure came.
Cautiously, it caressed the opening.
Baffled, everyone gawked.
The figure opened the golden gates with grace.
It stepped inside.
Removing the gown the figure became vivid.
Before the people stood an angel.
Suddenly, the angel gave them a message.
Taken aback, the people became pure with proper behavior.
As they died, the light grew brighter as the gates opened.
Many lessons were learned.
Then,...
the cycle began again and again.

Frost At Midnight

Frost at Midnight

Karyn Indursky

Frost brings its orchestra
with violin and harpsichord winds.
Leaves sway, grass sashay, animals shimmy
in unison with the melodies of winter
arriving to end one season of opportunities
for a fresh start with new opportunities.  Owls cry
softly as they are my soloists carrying the tune
with soft caresses to be slapped by screaming
as its mixed with the love of the crests and troughs
of life. Inmates in the forest stir
as they are now awaken. Howls, barking, meowing,
and pitter-pattering feet begin to join
the celebration. Squirrels, raccoons, possums,
skunks, birds, rabbits, snakes, and everything
singing my love song of winter
after humming, dancing, and performing
a play to demonstrate the changes
occurring around me and those that have
already taken place in spring, summer,
and autumn to help me recognize
all the good times I've had after
my struggles. My show of progression.
The song fades as I awaken
to my new start.

Frozen

The pain is overwhelming and I cannot accept it
How do you put the shine back on the maggot eaten apple?
Once you have seen behind the curtain it is done
I hear the angst and the soul wrenching agony of confusion and betrayal
I feel it my own bones---my aching soul
Once you see the true nature of this world we've made and it’s savageness, how can you ignore the awful truth?
The veil of denial has been lifted and the ugliness revealed
When nothing looks good and every one seems to have forgotten you, do you turn away from that emptiness or....
Step into the black abyss of despair?
Do you accept the truth and live on the edge of madness or step away into the void?
There is nothing in the day that can erase the sorrow and joylessness
Everyone looks at you like you are the one who is insane
I look again and see myself in this terrible cycle of pain upon pain
My depression feeding on my sorrow, regrets, and guilt and it goes on and on and on….never ending
What it must feel like to awaken in the morning and feel a giddiness for the day ahead
I cannot remember that childish feeling the elation anymore
What is it to just survive another day to come home to sit and deteriorate....
Only seeking a moments respite?
It is a prison sentence in a cell of my own creation
Walls without end they fade into the distance when I look at them
It haunts me to sleep and in my dreams I struggle to breathe
My heart beating as if to escape the confines of my chest to be free
I look inside myself and I wonder where the rest of me is
There is no hope, joy, satisfaction, contentment
I've lost my faith, morality and honor
The acceptance and the perseverance I once had are lost
All I see is the ruination of inaction
I am a man frozen
Trapped in the ice held here by fear and self doubt
Love lies bleeding in my hands

Frozen Heart

Who knew a heart could break so willingly?

With a clash of metal connecting to the stone cold heart

A pure form of art

The pain, oh the pain

Brought upon itself

A gasp of air, a short breath

Lay that dear heart to rest

All passion is gone

Due to an unfaithful lover

Eyes that brought warmth now see ice cold orbs

Taking all memories back to that fateful night

Through the threshold those legs walked only to discover

Her lover surely had another

There they lay in her bed

In the heat of the moment as she quickly said,

“How could you?”

The two years of adoration had been wiped out in second

Now that does not seem fair

Turning away, needing to run

It’s too late for this devastated soul

Collapsing through the doorway, no sound echoes through lost ears

No salty tears, no livid words

Only frozen in the moment that treacherously stabbed her heart

Reliving each moment when the entire world froze to watch her plunge

I thought about how fascinating
it will be to get to know you
and what makes you attractive
beyond the physical.

I thought about how stimulating
it is to talk with you
and how easy you are to talk with
as my pulse races.

I thought about how glorious
it is that you haven't labeled
or judged me yet, but consider me
a potential date.

I thought about how luxurious
it is to possible explore an enlightened mind
verses a simple man with nothing more
than his looks.

I thought about how ludicrous
it is for me to have such desires
when I have no idea how you feel

Funny Conner Story

Funny Conner Story

Karyn Indursky

I was trying to get Conner down for a nap and he was refusing. So, I let him down and  planned on trying again in a few minutes. Well Conner went into the kitchen to my mom and was making all kinds of words and sounds. So, my mom asked him if I was being mean and he told her, "No." We were surprised that 1) he answered her, 2) it was so crystal clear, and 3) that he didn't say "yes" since I had been trying to get him down for a nap. Then he proceeded to ask him if mommy loves him and he told her clear as day, "Yes." At 16 months he already knows that I love him. Also, when he's asked if he loves me he does tell you, "Yes." There is nothing more precious than a love of a child or them accepting your love.

Future planning

What are you going to do with your life?
I don't know
Do I really need a plan?
My life is the same as yours
it's our life
we're connected.

What is life going to do with me?
is a better question
indeed
I don't want to feed myself expectations
because limitations
lie beneath.

I just wanna be glad to be here.

Game Of Tradgedy

A heart is a heart,

A name is a name,

Love is a word,

Said in a game,

A game with no winners,

In the end everyone loses,

Who holds your heart,

Is something the game chooses,

All are welcome to play,

Play at your own risk,

Is a lifetime of agony,

Worth a moment of sheer bliss?

The instructions are simple,

The price, your heart,

Roses mask,

The thorns so sharp,

Vulnerbility is a disease,

Spreading contagiously,

From heart to heart,

Taming the wild and free,

No turning back,

Once the game has begun,

Keep in mind,

No one has ever won.....

only needing extra work
to expose its elegant

Getting Back To Me (8/23/01)

Getting Back to Me (8/23/01)

Karyn Indursky

Breaking up felt painful,
but,
realistically,
it was the right thing to do.

As the months have passed,
I've started to see
things differently
and mature more.

We're worlds apart now.
I'm changing
in so many ways,
but you're not.

You've kept things
the same,
have the same perspective,
and all.
It works for you.

That doesn't cut it for me.
I'm opening
my eyes and heart
to a world
that feels and looks and smells
are different.

My life
is changing
in so many ways.
I don't know
how exactly to handle it,
but it's changing me.

I now know so many things like...
don't yell. It doesn't help. People appreciate it. Plus,k you get to feel good about yourself.
it doesn't matter what you wear
as long as you're comfortable.
don't hold everything in.
be honest. Some won't like it, but you'll feel better in the end.
talk to people. They actually do listen and care.
It's alright to cry and let things out.
despite all the baggage you carry, your family's always there.
your mom will be a better friend to you than the friends you've picked. She will be there, take you places, listen, talk to you regularly, care, etc.
even though your siblings can be cruel, merciless, etc., they're still there for you.
you can learn anything if you open yourself up.

There's plenty more
that I've learned.
You don't seem
interested or caring.

I tried warning you
about your life style,
but
you're not willing to listen
or change any
or accepting to the truth
or willing to admit anything.

I hope one day
you'll learn and
change,
but I can't
make you.

I'm just
here to be your friend.
So,
try letting me be one.
It'll be rocky,
but nothing ever is perfect.

As hard as this is for you,
it's still hard on me.
I have to make all these realizations on my own.
I'm still trying to become a better person and be successful.
It's time for me to start getting back to me.

Getting Fixed! 07/24/08

Getting Fixed! 07/24/08

Karyn Indursky

I tried the pill, Nurva Ring, and now the Paraguard. None of it has worked for me. Since I have absolutely no desire to bare anymore children, I'm going for the surgery to be fixed. If God wants me to have any more children He'll have me wind up with a man who has one or more of his own. Otherwise, I am completely done and I have no regrets. I've wanted to get fixed for over a year now. Everyone has tried to persuade me not to do it. They kept telling me I'd change my mind one day down the line, but after over a year I still feel just as passionately as I did back then. I really don't want to bare anymore children. I don't want to go through it physically, mentally, or emotionally. I don't care to have any reoccurrences of what I ended dealing with by it not working out with Greg. Realistically, having more children doesn't make things easier, it makes it harder. It's even more mentally, physically, and emotionally demanding than having one kid. Honestly, I've reached my limit here. I can't handle more than raising one kid on my own. I don't wish to bring another child into this world that isn't wanted. I do want Conner and I don't regret him, but no I don't have any desire to have anymore children. I love him unconditionally. He has literally saved my life, but if I had anymore children I don't think it'd be the same positive feeling about it. I think other people would be a lot more happy about it than I would. I'd be the one dealing it and raising the kid. They wouldn't be paying the bills, dealing with the tantrums, doctor appointments, teething, feedings, sleep deprivation, and all it entails to be a parent. Maybe if I wasn't a single parent in this situation I'd feel differently, but after all I've endured, overcome, and am continuing to overcome I'm trying to be realistic and practical, not fantastical. In an ideal world every child would have two parents who love them unconditionally and would do anything to raise them and help them, but realistically things don't go always according to plan. The next thing you know instead of struggling to raise one kid you're stuck struggling trying to figure out how to raise more. Some people can handle this and they're much stronger than I am. But I'm not strong enough to handle raising anymore children on my own. I have Conner to raise and I'm constantly helping out with my nephews and niece and at times Zack. I already feel overwhelmed by it and consumed sometimes. It feels like I'm raising 5 or 6 kids when realistically I'm only responsible for one, Conner. So in a nutshell I'm getting fixed and if one day I meet a man who doesn't reciprocate my feelings I'll be showing him the door because it's my body, my life, and my decision. If he has any kids of his own, I'll be open to accepting them as though as they are my own has Ernie has done for me and my other siblings. Other than that though, the chapter of me being able to reproduce will be diminished shortly and I thank God for it. The way it works now I can have it one day, leave the same day, and it's not nearly as painful or anything as it used to be.

but You just keep pushing me down.
You nag and eat and fester in my being.
You make me feel guilty, ashamed, dirty to the core.
You make me lose myself in your evilness.
You constantly tug at my hurt.
You make my pain flow in a stream.
You make me want to hide.
You make me distant.
You make me lose myself,
but God's helping me on getting me back up.

Lean on me while your eyes
get blood-shot from hours

and allow me to cry with you.

Lean on me while your eyes
absorb the golden rays of hope
beyond this time of despair
and I will hold your hand.

Walk with me while your eyes
dance with happiness and together
we will dance in the rain
in the circle of unconditional friendship.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Glass

I rose from the fire that was made so long ago,

Fragile as an angel's soul,

Peeking through the curtains,

Trying not to break,

Won't wander out too far,

Who knows what could scratch or scar?

Look into the sky, wish upon a star,

Whatever you wish,

Be careful not to push me to hard,

I might shatter when I fall,

Like a puzzle with a million pieces,

Would you take the time to glue me back together?

If I bleed or cry,

Would you wash me like glass and leave me out to dry?

If i scream in fear,

Would you lock me away as I let go of my tears,

If you suddenly get bored,

Will you drop me on the floor?

I'll admit I'm complicated,

And I can get infatuated,

But would you treat me like glass,

Just because you say I'm sensitive,

Forever will never pass,

If I'm treated this way I'll never live.

Go for laser hair removal and change your life for good!

With the super busy life led by today’s generation, where people hardly have time to even carry out their basic responsibilities, waxing becomes a pretty huge investment as far as time is concerned. Facial or body hair is something that has been considered a curse for women since time immemorial and it’s high time that a permanent solution for it is found. That is when Laser hair removal comes in. Laser hair removal westlake village is one of the best laser treatment places.

How can laser hair removal help you?

Laser removal is the process by which your hair is removed with the help of the laser pulses whose rays destroys the hair follicle, thereby stopping hair growth in the parts which have been exposed to the light, completely. It is more helpful than people give it credit for. With people hardly having a second to breathe these days, a permanent solution to excess facial hair is a major problem and Laser hair removal is just the solution you might have been looking for. This is why people should go to Laser hair removal thousand oaks.

How can laser hair removal change your life for the better?

Although the definition of beauty is not restricted to not having body or facial hair, the presence of hair does impose a slight problem because not only does it make you look unhygienic but uncomfortable too. This is why Laser hair removal is such a necessity. Laser hair removal westlake village is an example of the best laser hair removal center.

With no hair to restrict you, you will feel confident enough to wear just about anything and laser treatment, unlike waxing, is a one-time investment with permanent results. Also, if you wish to learn more about the pros and cons of Laser hair treatment, you might as well refer to http://www.dermatiqueskinspa.com/ or go to and Laser hair removal thousand oaks.

of thinking they cared
about you when all they
really wanted was for
you to do it all
for them without asking
questions, which of course
you did nor does it
matter if you internally struggled
or if you hurt yourself
internally or even physically
in seeking an outlet for
uncontrollable emotions that you
simply didn't know how
to handle or where
else to go when
ears are slammed doors
nor does it matter

God spilled paint

God spilled paint

God spilled paint
amongst our animals to give us
beauty in taking care of our championships,
who in turn teach us not to discriminate.

God spilled paint
upon my keyboard and books
to give us shared wisdom, poetry, knowledge

God spilled paint

unconditional love...

blessed are we to have

the sun of inspiration

pouring light upon our ideas

to transform into words

painting our creativity

vividly with our paper

wearing ink of hope

blessing our hands

with the courage

to be ourselves

as faith leads us

to follow our path

of God's intentions.

blessed are we to have
the clouds of inspiration
pushing our pen
across screens of serenity
as our gifts unravel
the essence of a writer
gifted to share their
love of not only being an observer,
but a writer who holds
your attention with imagery
intriguing your mind
until you're forced to feel,
not merely read.

blessed are we to have
the ability to share
ourselves expressively amongst
friends, family, authors
and together we transform
into butterflies soaring the skies
of interpretations where
colors blend for there are

Streaming tears flow
into God's hands
to catch and brush away
all of our ailments...
pain, hurt, frustrations,
turmoils, troubles, worries
to watch His garden
of love for us,
His children,
grow into blooming
self-seeding flowers
spreading His seeds of
faith, religion, spirituality,
devotion, dedication, loyalty
amongst those who

Tears fall from heaven
in a storm of emotion
with broken umbrellas of time.

Droplets caress golden gates
with clouds of memories
churning alternations.

Tears drip from facets
of faith, enlightenment, and transitions.

Droplets of tears
paint solemn cheeks
as we say, "We love you.
May you remain in
our hearts, thoughts, memories

Wind tickles flowers
While stroking rain
Nourishes their soil
For sprouting beauty
And heavenly aromas.

Slate-gray paints skies
With rumbling thunder
Shaking our souls
To slow dance
In God‘s embrace.

Flags bravely sashay
Across our country
For celebrating those
Who fought to obtain
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Rain or shine,
We stand as proud
Citizens of the U.S.A.
Without forgetting
How we achieved today.

Filled with everlasting
Serenity, friendship, family.

Golden Love

Golden Love

Karyn Indursky

Upon the moon was a bashful smile

as he flirted with the stars twinkling

as the star would send him a kiss miles

away as a helpful hand to the sun sprinkling

her drummer's heart thudding in rhythms beat

as the moon's cheesy chest filled with love's pride

for the sun could make him blush heat

in night skies to ask her to be bride

with romance budding the sun abided

his request for thou love sang very true

and thou bright stars began to dance guided

by the sound of their love's glorious hue

so long as thy sun continues smiling

thou gold rings of love will be compiling

Golden Porridge

Golden Porridge

Golden Porridge
Karyn Indursky
July 2012

Walking down granite roads
was Goldie Locks
trying to give her bear cubs
their porridge.

The porridge was ready
for the first bear,
but his seat broke.
Too many tastyKakes!

At the second seat
sat the porridge, but
the seat was rickety
and broke when he sat.

Lastly, there was a bowl of porridge
sitting at a table, but baby bear
didn't like it and threw it out the door.

Goldie Locks was mad!
She had cooked, slaved,
and served their meal.

She took the broken seats
and turned them into wooden
tables with chairs.

Having stolen the Fairy Godmother's wand,
she made the cubs into
princess dolls.

Momma bear was furious!
No one turned her cubs into dolls
and destroyed her porridge.

She pulled Goldie Locks
by her long, thick, locks
and changed her into...

HoT DeLiCiOuS Porridge.

Golden Ticket

Golden Ticket

Golden Ticket
Karyn Indursky
July 2012

Once upon a time
Sleeping Beauty decided
to visit Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory...

Chocolate chip cupcakes
made her drool
like Snoopy.

Blueberry flowers had
her licking her fingers
like Muttley.

Cherry-plum trees
had her climbing
into clouds of Cotton Candy.

She found a rainbow of Skittles
and slid down it
like a banister.

Laughing all the way down
she found herself in
a pool of Chocolate.

She climbed out on
a ladder of Licorice
and awaiting her was
a munchkin man.

He befriended her,
but she couldn't help herself
from eating him
like an Oompah Loompah Donut.

Along came Mary Popkins
to check out the inventory
of Candy-Cane umbrellas,
but Sleeping Beauty
saw her as Gobsters.

At the end of the gate
Sleeping Beauty was stuffed
to the brim and
left with nothing, but
the tooth-fairy ready
to fix her cavities
with golden crowns.

Gone In A Flash

Gone In A Flash

Karyn Indursky

Gone in a flash,
but held in my heart
I knew
I loved you
from the start.
Gone in a flash,
but held in my heart
I remember
the pain you inflicted
and left behind
when you walked out
that door.
Gone in a flash,
but held in my heart
are all of our memories
you left behind.
Gone in a flash,
but held in my heart
are the good times
weasled in with
the bad, the horrid, the awful.
Gone in a flash,
but held in my heart
are lessons instilled
by you, me, and God.
Gone in a flash,
but held in my heart
are tears
I cried for you
time and again.
Gone in a flash,
but held in my heart
is you.

Your words spoke me

making my fingers

begin to go a tapping

like a keyboard dance.

Your comments jiggled

my ideas until their feet

began to find a beat.

Your perceptions graced

my poem went deep

until vocal chords

belted out lyrics.

Your praise went

to a standing ovation

and together we

began to form a chorus.

Your eyes began a siren

of a writer's passion

until our little poem ditty

had it's own background dancers.

Your fingers went snapping

to our poetry and together

we created a harmonic tone

as we blended transitions.

Your mouth went a low hum

when we had collaborated

a remarkable piece

and we marked it...

done.

My life is the dice
leading me one place to the next.

Move your marbles all over

Foxy didn't need pants
because his had his own
orange, fluffy ones.
Love poured from
his eyes
with every glance
until you loved him
as much as he loved you.
Within moments of petting
his little love meter
would go wild
until he was
revving with purrs.
There's nothing

Graduation

Graduation

Karyn Indursky

Graduation came and went.
Only one thing remains amiss.
My cousin wasn't there
to share
in my milestone and care.
Why did God ever take him from me?
I wish I could see
just one glimpse of where he's at now,
but no one knows how.
I'm growing up and he's missing out,
if only, he could come about.
I drive now and have a car,
but even with that I can't get to him because it's too far.
College is nearing,
but missing him has me tearing.
If I could just touch his face or hold his hand,
forever with him I would stand.
I'd tell him everything I could and more.
Maybe, he'd show me where he's been with a tour.
I can only dream
for his afterlife isn't ready to be seen.
His ghostly presence is felt and some light can be viewed at times spread apart,
but that doesn't heal my mourning heart.

Grandma's Egg Hunt

Grandma’s Egg Hunt

Karyn Indursky

2013

Parading marbled eggs in a red truck

With speckled eggs dancing

From toy cats nudging them

And sponge printed eggs lead

The way with hats upon their painted faces…

Across the living room

They marched with Peter Rabbit

Dictating orders to follow the yellow brick road.

Upon the golden brick road

The Tin Man met up with Peter Rabbit

Giving him plucked purple flowers

In a crystal vase for Dorothy.

Peter Rabbit skipped beats

Down the way to the Scarecrow,

Who contributed to a toy chick

And set in his basket with milk chocolate lollipops.

Peter Rabbit picked

candied apples, pineapples, green grapes,

And a half open coconut to make Dorothy

Her fruit basket.

With edible cherry plastic wrap

He decorated his gift and put

A bow upon it.

The Cadbury Bunny was nearby

And helped Peter Rabbit deliver

Her treasures.

He took out his dark chocolate basket

With vanilla butterflies, strawberry sunflowers,

Black cherry dragonflies, and starburst roses.

Going through the woods

There was the Wicked Witch,

Who wanted to steal the goodies

And devour Peter Rabbit and the Cadbury Bunny.

The Wicked Witch laughed as plotted

To put Little Red Robinhood in a coma,

Stealing Grandma’s treats,

Making Peter Rabbit and Cadbury Bunny stew,

And Dorothy was a plump ripe peach

To added to her delicious peach cobbler pie.

It wasn’t to be for when

The Fairy God Mother was awakened

By Little Red Robinhood’s tears,

Screaming Peter Rabbit, the shrieking Cadbury Bunny,

And Grandma crying in her Easter painted house

With the wolf singing his Easter Meal Delicacies.

The Fairy God Mother turned the Wicked Witch

Into a puddle of water to help grow

Grandma’s orchids and she made an amazing fertilizer.

Dorothy was altered back to

Being a girl and shared Easter Goodies

With the Tin Man, Scarecrow, Peter Rabbit, and Cadbury Bunny.

Easter creativity painted skies…

True friendship united hearts…

Parading Easter spirit.

and there's his hug
when he walks on by
without a greeting or
backwards glance...

he's my dream man
who fades into lightness
and reminds me of aired filled rejection,

but keep my chin up

Remember life for the beautiful moments. My first love and the first time we made love. Those beautiful eyes yea an angel in disguise. When my son was born. Cut the umbilical cord. When he gripped my finger showing me I'm not alone. My mothers love. Sometimes hard to understand. All I need is a hug and she's there with open arms. Beautiful moments and this should be your focus. My last love I thought was perfect then it became like the first. She stay sticking her tongue out. Liquor will not quench that thirst and the first is more mature now even takes our son to church. I'm so grateful for creation, mother nature and the Earth.

take from me vision and leave me alone

give in place confussion and this sense

that in these shades of grey all i have is hollow sound

shades of grey, darken and are no longer shades

Grizzly exposed

Trippin' on down with a funkalicious twitch in my hip

A part of me that's still kicking for some dignanty

I need ta, help MEEEEee

Yes, the force of blindness has stumbled me

Rage is tiding beneath, like a storm harrasing the tides.

Standing up is my vice, Failing to see that that is one how must go.

It's but a varmit that is suddenly hit with light

It's just too much good to see in one second.

I am taking my soul to hell, I'm sludging on the back of a walking hand with no arm.

These clouds of insanity irritated by bolts of seldom but strong; lightning.

From the scrum I've collected here I stand hypnotized.

All that I want here  is something that's not a mind game!

I have been following this infinite roll of carpet for far too long

This delusion is the breaking of your fortunate help.

Who is going to hurt you when you know that you are free.

Now, I have l listened, I have seen through hollow stained  glass, Contrasted it with common word.

I've neglected the common word, I have neglected the common, word.

Where does one turn in the middle of a desert?

All is the same in the midst of terror

Like the angles of death that crawl through the mountain

I will ascend slowly but surely.

With assistance from that that absorbs me. inside the temple.

There is ground, without which you would not be.

Face the truth, leap in, join love.

Forget all the things that kept you afoot.

Come without those burdens.

Toss them and the seeds they came from.

Now come home, for that of which in which your heart drums.

Be new. One does not do the act of living, here.

you are lived here

Keepers of truth.

The cornerstone of “Truth Seeking.”

Protectors of “Real Evidence”.

Guardians of knowledge.

Where would I be without them?

I am lost without them!

They are my truth compass;

my map of honesty.

To navigate the legal maze

and conquer a political kerborose.

They are a rock I stand on,

to defend against a social cancer

rotting our moral connective tissue;

preventing the evolution to a better society.

I am in love with them.

I cherish them.

I recognize there work.

I appreciate there selfless undertaking.

They are the silent heroines of the justice system.

Even though there work is ravaged.

Their small monetary reward stolen.

There legal copy right repetitively violated.

Their authenticative-authority

continually undermined;

Their certification

borrowed without reward.

I see the injustice.

I witness the abuse.

I feel their warm tears of sorrow.

I share their pain.

I recognized their unspoken cause.

Count me as a friend.

Count me as a fan.

I love their work.

I appreciate their silent efforts.

The court reporters,

the record keepers.

The unseen heroes of the court.

Making order out of chaos,

while keeping everyone honest.

I am in love with them.

I am Infatuated

by there professionalism.

I thank them for their silent endeavor!

Guess What I See?

I look around and guess what I see?
I see bitches and hoes but none of them are me.
I see people who smoke and drink who think they're so cool
But for me to be cool I just need a book and go to school
People sit and talk about me like I'm a lame.
But Hey at least I'm not the one who thinks life is a game.
All I do is write and express things that people don't see
While people express themselves through negativity
See what people don't see is that they are the lames
The lames who smoke weed and drink vodka
The ones who think they're so cool
While causing themselves to get cancer and die
See what I see are people who are so insecure about themselves
So insecure they talk all about others who felt great about themselves
They put people down just to feel better about themselves.
But I cant say anything about them.
They're actions speaks louder than they're words.
So I look around me and guess what I see?
I see people who are bitches and hoes
Gangbangers and gangsters
People who drink and smoke weed
But Hey at least not one of them is me.

Author's Notes:
All about people who smoke and drink who think theyre so cool but aren't bcuz they're only killing themselves. People who talk about other people who do better than they are only bcuz they feel like sh*t
