If you can't talk,
write about it.

If you can't sing,
write about it.

If you can't dance,
write about it.

If you can't read,
write about it.

If you can't explain,
write about it.

If you can't defend,
write about it.

If you can't express,
write about it.

If you can't relax,
write about it.

If you can't understand,
write about it.

If you can't sleep,
write about it.

If you can't help,
write about it.

If you can't hear,
write about it.

If you can't scream,
write about it.

If you can't curse,
write about it.

If you can't pray,

If you can't wait,

If you can't translate,

If you can't giggle,

If you can't trust,
write about it.

If you can,

Writer's Block Games

Writer's Block Games

Karyn Indursky

Thou writer's block is like thee brown lodge

where thee words are playing hide and go seek

giggling like children as we try to dodge

being put on thou white mountain peak

where words look around and peek-a-boo starts

to tease our muse til we cave into write

playful riddles to past our time with art

our poem becomes saved by the silver knight

words are jousting with the jester's humor

scurrying diction all over the place

with chuckles erupting like consumers

buying practical jokes while making messes

so long as our sun wakes us up at dawn

writer's block will take a hike and be gone

Writer's Block Sonnet

Shall I compare thee to thy writer's block?

Thou struggle to find the right words is a hurdle

fighting against the deadline, darn that clock!

Defeat smells worse than the milk that curdled.

Oh where doth thou find any inspiration.

Words are nothing more than fumbling mess

Thy poet sinks into sheer desperation

to express thyself, but is in disstress.

Oh to thy pen who's starting to run dry

please let rivers of imaginations flow

down thou page in word harmony to fly

faster than a migrating running doe.

As long as the sun gives us light to see

the writer's right hand will never be free.

Tell the sun, "Don't shine."
Demand stars not to dance.
Remove vocals from singers.
Decapitate dancers legs.
Smash musician's instruments.
Dry out painter's palettes.
Vanish an author's pen and paper.

But in the end,
you can't stop an artist
from having a soul,
spirits from soaring,
and the blood of art.

travel through our minds
until they ignite
into an inferno
blazes with demands
of being written/typed
no matter what
you're attempting or
literally involved in,
but nothing makes
your soul free
until your fingers
paint worded pictures
of what burns
inside your spirit
to show everyone

Once upon a time Princess Smoothie
was having a costume party...

Princess Smoothie was dressed
as Cleopatra with Princess Dove
at her side dressed as Jane...

Rabbit showed up as Cat-woman
and Ashes strutted in
wearing her Tiger outfit
with PoetryWings waiting
in her Emily Dickinson costume
handing them their party favors
of golden angel friendship...

Prince Rhythm was manning
the radio in his cowboy costume
with Beavis dressed as
a bartender with his tablet
in his poetic hand...

The party was awesome
with booty-shaking rhythms
of music strumming poetic lyrics
until an ex-boyfriend
showed up wearing a Tarzan costume....

He got all up in her face
and Cowboy Rhythm wasn't havin' it
at the Writer's Empire.

Cowboy Rhythm used his lasso,
wound up Tarzan,
and tied him to a ceiling fan
to spin him round and round
until the knotted rope broke free
sending him into the awaiting
mouth of a starving dragon.

Through ordinary terminology life

is brought into personification
with the mind working ivory hands in strife
aiming for a spectrum of presentation.

Emotions coursing from pen into hearts
as images of imaginations
build a stanza's foundation part by part
increasing a poem's animation.

Alive with senses alluring your eyes
to feel connections like looking in mirrors
traveling through memories visualizing
lessons you've mustered to learn life's pillars.

As long as the sun sails boats of wisdom
you will forever dance in writer's systems.

To life in a saga.

Writing Exhibit

August 2012

Once upon a time
PoetryWings was having
a Writing Exhibit
dressed as Mona Lisa...

Smoothie was Helen Keller
handing out inked tongues
to begin chiseling muses.

Beavis' inspiration started
to crave his William Shakespeare
persona to spark motivation.

Dove was Mother Nature
and her flight of creativity
began to flutter with
Solace_hero aiding her
in his Captain Planet attire
saving the world of poetry
with his shimmers of symbolism.

Rabbits' ears started
to perk with Princess Diane
kindness starting to etch expressions
with Prince Charles, xMattx,
adding masculinity to the artwork.

Rhythm's beat of lyrics
began to chime in
his Robert Frost melody,
which enticed CactusWoman, Snowwhite,
to enrich the poem
with her captivating cleverness.

ThisIsMe789, Rosa Parks, brought
her independence to whittle
some lines in harmony
with Astral_Tides, George Washington,
splashing honesty into the masterpiece
and Metaphorist, was wearing her
Statue Of Liberty pride
with her universal freedom
flying through the air of tonalities.

Silver_Lining, Einstein, was there
to help finish the invention
of poetic license with his
special guest, Merman.

Merman was a Viking,
who mixed up the adventure
of the collaboration with
tough-as-nails diction.

Mona Lisa and Helen Keller
whittled the format,
tweaked the transitions,
polished the imagery,
and framed the sculpture.

Writing Frenzy
Karyn Indursky 12/10/08

Words torment my being
when trying to function
in a redundant lifestyle
of work, raising a son, errands
and I'm supposed to simply
drop whatever I'm doing
because my muse
has sought me out
to be its scripture
sharing inspiration
from one person to another,
but it's a job
that doesn't pay me
for any of my efforts
or time spent sharing my insights
nor an iota of appreciation
even when I take the liberty
to dedicate a poem to someone,
attempting to share
the essence of my being
with them
because writing doesn't make
dance in a rhythmic understanding
of God's songs playing,
but instead clog their e-mail boxes.

Downplay personal information...
Use a persona...
Remember not to be first person...
Deny anything you don't want known...
Admit facts to true friends...
Send out for sharing...

Rip the poem apart at the seams...
Feel shitty about everything...
Struggle with compliments and ridicule...

Writing Life's Poetry

Writing Life's Poetry

Karyn Indursky

Octopus tentacles wrap
tightly around me
without mercy until
I cave into
its every demand.
Octopus tentacles tickle
my nose hairs
with its reeking
of fresh sweat
as it refuses
to release me
in its fight
to maintain control.
Octopus tentacles roughly
tighten around me
silently screaming for
my freedom back,
but unfortunately it
won't be defeated.
Octopus tentacles stifle
my pleading sobs
before I touch
its unfocused eyes
with my fingers
in an attempt
of blinding it
from seeing me
to allow me
a feasible escape,
but it's useless.
Octopus tentacles cut
into my body
without allowing enough
circulation to breathe
normally no matter
how much I
beg, plead, negotiate
and so I
bite into its
long, hard tentacles
in desperate need
to injure its
straggling limbs that
are making it
harder and harder
to successfully breathe,
but I'm no
match for it.
Octopus tentacles claim
me for its
chosen victim before
targeting someone else
into to giving
their life to
writing life's poetry.

Writing on a blank

This poem....
Isn't about a thing

There's not a thing on my mind

I write on a blank
yet feel content
inside

Lavender warmth pulses
near my heart
A feeling of space
guides
The dark

A pool of blue suns hover
over our heads
But that doesn't matter
Because
We're not in our heads

This poem really isn't about a thing
Not a dream
It's writing on a blank
Just a love that's faint...
Until you wake.

Writing Tangents

Writing Tangents

Karyn Indursky

Thoughts flow in my mind
and overtake
my brain
until I can't control
or contain those thoughts
any longer.
They take
me to words
and upon paper
as well as
on the computer screen
is where they belong.
Instead of in my head,
they find
themselves
upon sheets of paper
and fixated on web sites
like www.postpoems.com
and www.poetry.com.
Sometimes,
my thoughts and words
are scarce,
but other times
I can sit and write
for hours on end,
which leads to exposing
a larger chunk
of me
with a wide range
of an audience
when I share
all my work...
no matter
what I think
or feel about it
because I think
I'd be selfish
if I kept it all
for just me.
I like to share
it all
to see
where it can lead me
and hopefully
it can help
someone
make it through
some things, gain some
poetry experience,
motivate others to write,
help people see
that they're not
alone,
and ever so much
more than what
I can ever
express
by mouth or page
or text or song
or whatever have you
because poetry
is the highest
level of expressionism
for me,
but I can't even
ever address it all.
No one can,
but yet I try
time and again
to share myself
with the world
and find
what's really
deep within
me
and learn
more about what
I
think,
feel, want,
desire, crave, yearn,
and ever so much
more.
So,
when the world
sees
all I write
and thinks it's a lot,
it's really not
because even when
I can stop
to write
I still can't
capture it
all
when some thoughts
and ideas
are lost
everyday
to circumstance.
I just can't
stop
whatever I'm doing
to write
all the time,
but, oh,
I do try
ever so much.
All I can
do is wait
until I find
myself
lost in the world
of poetry
and expose myself
when the mood
strikes me
to sit
and have
another one
of my
writing tangents.

To love is to forgive. However to be in love makes it harder to do so. Blessed is the man who through the Lord finds the strenght to forgive unfaithful love. Sometimes it's better to return home than ride out in search of vengeance.

But I guess they weren't really friends,

They lied through their teeth

Now I'm suffereing the consequences.

Not like they care

They already moved onto the next new fad.

Guess what? That's you

Aren't you so lukcy and popular now?

But when the diamonds turn dull

And the paint starts to chip

They'll cast you away

Just like yesterday's fad.

Could you make me smile,

For every time I've cried,

Drift away into the sunset,

With you right by my side,

Falling off the edge of the world,

No matter how hard we try,

Everything was going great,

Until the day you made me shed a tear from these eyes,

Now nothing will ever be the same,

I wish we could take it all back,

So I would stop placing this blame,

But you left me lying here,

Cold and lonely,

You broke my heart in two,

Then stole the pieces by taking them with you,

I wish you could hold me in your arms,

Keep me safe from harm,

Tell me everything would be okay,

And that you are coming home to stay.

be wordless
be.

Judge not what you see
nor that of who you are
let love now
relieve all your scars

you are love now let yourself be
be with us all unquestionably
don't be done
be one

The further you hate
the more you're loved
don't resist let yourself be stunned
it's beyond what you can think

You Are The Hurricane...

and the sun begins to set into its bed on the distant horizon

just as monotanously common as it begins every set of words i call a poem

almost as tedius as my feeble attempts to disguise the saline streams

or for that matter, keep them off the page

keep these already hurting words from bleeding

just like i used to do externally when i couldnt take anymore internally

just like i now do internally because theres nothing else to do

you didnt want me to know the world you came from

instead you send me there

with your weighted words

your very facial features and books worth of memories

remember that year, maybe it was kindergarten

remember all those books, maybe 300

remember how proud you were

never forget thats why it was done

remember all the work i did with that crazy man

who showed me more acceptance than you

remember all the extra tasks

the "challenge" projects

the goals i set but hardly reached

the things i dreamed but you ignored

sixth grade, when i said i read

twice as many books as i actually did

i bet you didnt know it was just to see you smile

how about my very first sacriligious F, on an assignment i cant quite name

it probably hurt me more than you, despite what you may believe

remember when you took my guitar

remember the night you said i couldnt play

i remember that as the night i learned how property and possession meant shit

my 700 washingtons prize taken away

i remember when you "changed your mind" and how i was too fucked up to play

do you remember

if you dont, you have it on tape

remember the lessons you taught me about honesty

the ones where you brutally shattered my hopes and dreams

the ones where you made me feel like nothing

and then my favorite lesson, the one where you denied it all

well, maybe ill try to teach you a lesson this swing through an 18 hole round

with a $60 weekly income, you cant afford a place to crash

a place to learn

a way to further your life

and surprise, surprise,

when my parents rake in six digits per painful calendar

and the government doesnt recognize my ethnic past

a scholarship is nowhere in my uno deck

and my poker deck will never get me far

its as cut up and broken as my beyond 18 year old hand

and sorry im no eric clapton

sorry me and the boys never made it as far as the stores

sorry for trying to find something that made me feel alive

other than the look in moms eyes

which would surely only last until you opened your mouth

and a friend once told me

it will be okay

just follow your dreams

i hope hes better with his daughter than you were with me

cause he doesnt have much in the way of money, but you cant buy love

yet ive never met a man with a bigger heart

and that is all that should have mattered from the start

im the son of a military brat

the son who has a war no army has ever seen going on inside his heart

every second

of every minute

of every hour

of every day

and so on

and so on

you should feel so proud

because, for reasons ill never know

through all those so ons

through all those shattered dreams and broken hearts

through all the lack of faith that youll just deny anyway

i tried to be something for you

i tried to give you something to be proud of

i tried to get past your pessimistic way of finding something i still did wrong

i may have gotten this disease from mom

but the pessimism

the war

and every ounce of this pure tragedy

i somehow inherited from you

and as the sun goes to bed

it always rises proud in the morning

but as i fall into this ocean of tears everynight

its a miracle i dont drown as the tide comes in

but you couldnt smile if i swam ashore

if i outlived each tide

because, like a great man from your time, so you cant say you cant relate,

neil young once said, "you are like a hurricane"

you are my hurricane

forever keeping me from shore

You Can Go Fishing for Hearts, but the One You're Looking For is in the Palm of Your Hands

What a tragedy, such a travesty
As a silent visitor gently knocks upon the door
Nestling himself into a quiet corner of the liveliest room
Never boastful or unkind
And unlike many others, no key was required upon entry
Easily overlooked for years
Until the day, without hesitation
The stranger makes a formal introduction
So comfortable, so inviting
How could anyone say no?
How could I ever say no?

my chest relaxed

your breath was still there

your warmth was still there

I could still smell your hair

it was just a gift you gave me

a gift of memory

a gift of mind

to give my soul

a reason to smile

a reason to cry

a reason to keep being.

You inspire me to be a better person.
You inspire me to write and love.
You inspire me to take care of you.
You inspire me to keep my head up.
You inspire me to live forever.
You inspire me to let someone close to me.
You inspire me to give everything I have and more.
You inspire me to raise you.
You inspire me to never give up.
You inspire me to be myself.
You inspire me to try new things.

You inspire me by smiling.
You inspire me by laughing.
You inspire me by holding my finger.
You inspire me by looking into my eyes.
You inspire me by wanting my touch.
You inspire me by letting me hold you.
You inspire me by looking like an angel.
You inspire me by being so precious, cute, sweet.
You inspire me by being innocent and pure.
You inspire me by loving me.
You inspire me by being yourself.

You Let Pass

You Let Pass

By Karyn Indursky

Stop.
Relax.
Slow down.
Enjoy the music of life.
Dance and sing.
Enjoy the dance...
for it lasts, but
a mere minute of
your life ahead.
Let yourself go
for complete enjoyment
of this song and dance
because it won't last.
When it's over
you'll regret
all these moments.
you let pass

You May Not Be

By Karyn Indursky

You may not be

my mother through blood,
but you are my mother through
spirit, soul, compassion,
understanding, wisdom, strength,
love, and things that
blood isn't strong enough
to hold in its hands,
but yet you manage to
with a natural ease.
You may not be
my mother through blood,
but you are my mother
in ways we connect through
not only words, but actions.
You may not be
my mother through blood,
but no matter what
I love you.

You Only Get One Shot to Fuck Up

and the clock ticking by reminds me of one thing

at 11:15 we only have a certain time left to live

our days are numbered to seconds, maybe minutes

and for the second time i wonder

is this all we get, just this one chance

to fuck things up and never look back

on the royal mess weve made of everything

in these games in which we claim to be kings and queens

despite the puppet strings of the marionette

that bind us here, blind with our fears

just to hear the silence inbetween the heartbeats

creating their own second hand songs to count

the moments of infinity and how it will only last

for just one chance, one lifetime is all we get

You said you'd hate me eventually

I remember when you told me

you'd probably want to marry me

I also remember when you said

that feeling in you would pass

So what am I to do?

I've fallen deeply in love with you

I want to hop a train

or get myself on a plane

When do you think you will drop me?

I gotta prepare my heart for the fall

But still, I look forward to your call

and I don't want to lose you ever at all

Your smile
melts the world
with a profound understanding.

Your smile

You Speak Of (A Love)

You speak of (a love)

Karyn Indursky

You speak of
a love
you feel,
but it's not returned.

You speak of
how you
give and give
your love
only to have it
thrown back
to yesterday.

You speak of
how your love
is strong,
but his is nonexistent.

You speak of
how much you feel,
but how you
find it lost
in a breeze
of wind
we call his "Mouth."

You speak of
so much, but of how
he gives none
of it back.

You speak of
giving it your all,
but not knowing
what to do
about him
throwing it away
like useless rubble.

You speak of
wanting him
to see
all of it
as he sees none.

You speak of
your love
leaving out his.

You'd just see who I use to be.
You'd see me as passive, isolated, depressed.
You'd see me as the girl you laughed at.
You'd see me as the girl who had too much time for school.
You'd see me as the girl who walked around town just to walk.
You'd see me as the girl who sat at the computer for hours.
You'd see me as the girl who hung on the phone.
You'd see me as the girl who didn't speak her mind.
You'd see me as the girl who hid behind her glasses and books.
You'd see me as the girl who relied on her family.
You'd see me as the girl who didn't express herself.
You'd see me as the girl with a heavy heart and mind.
You'd see me as the girl without direction.
You'd see me for how I was and not how I've changed.

You didn't do anything,

No regrets no guilt bout wanting to go back
No one will ever be able to replace you anytime in the future
Only because you wont be able to find anyone else as amazing as you
Amazing Caring Sweet Nice
Cute Loveable and Funny
Which is why I love you so much
I love you more than anyone else
More than I love myself even
I love you more than you will ever know
So much that you actually have kept me alive during all these months
"I love you"
Three little words that mean so much
Three little words that you only say to a special person that meant to be
So when you told me you loved me
I knew that I'm your special one<3

You feel brutally shattered
in a broken world, but

You think you're incompetent
of loving someone again, but

You feel defeated again

You feel suddenly liberated
in embracing opportunities, but

You feel blissfully motivated
towards making friends, but
you're timid.
You feel wonderfully revived
by God's help, but
you're intimidated.
You feel renewed happiness
by being alone, but
you're worried.
You feel yourself individualized
without him there, but
you're ashamed.
You feel miraculously freed
in letting go, but
you're solo.
You feel slightly compelled
into fighting someone else, but
you're independent.
You feel painted externally
with newly found confidence, but
you're natural.
You feel lightened inside
without any suffocating misery, but
you're wiser.
You feel slightly tainted

We're worlds apart

We're worlds apart

We're worlds apart
when you couldn't care less
about blowing off my poetry,

We're worlds apart

Take me

Young wanderer

Upon this journey to home that you since born have roamed

Through chapters of time, pages now bind, Transparently displaying the ventures of our lives

The shows

The good times

Memories sketched with sand that the waves will soon find

Wander in your dream for as long as you need

One day you will step upon what was seemingly eluding

And laugh upon the ways you were misconstruding

You are my beloved friend
sitting inside my pocket
to view the world around us
in a profound friendship
that goes beyond anything
I've ever experienced before.

You are my beloved sibling
peeking out of my pocket
laughing at the world around us
as you plot what prank
to pull next and what excuse
to get out of the consequences.

You are my beloved nephews
tucked into my pocket
where no one else can touch
you and you keep harm
from me, too.

You are my beloved parents
hiding in my pocket
waiting to fight off-
anyone and anything-
standing in my way
of becoming the best person
I can be.

You are my beloved pets
nestled in my pocket
sleeping when you can,
but on guard when I am
threatened and there is
no love quite like yours-
the angry animals.

You are my beloved angels
shining in my sequined pocket
I refer to as my
heart, memories, friends, family, pets
and I can only dream of being
your angelic protector.

Let yourself run wild and free

Let yourself run wild and free

Let yourself run wild and free

Your Ignorance

Your ignorance

Karyn Indursky

Ignorance is not just another word
Nor is it not be recognized.
Not only is it spoken, written, and read,
But everyday this state of being is shown.
The best examples lie around me.
Attitudes swirl like parasites hunting hosts.
If someone doesn't understand something,
THERE IS NO NEED to treat them like slime.
YELLING DOESN'T WORK!
In fact, it make the person more frustrated.
Talking and helping WILL improve the situation.
NOW, if You have a personal PROBLEM,
Take it elsewhere.
BEFORE, you judge someone's knowledge,
KNOW THEIR EDUCATION.
Even if they AREN'T as intelligent at certain things,
It DOESN'T make them any worse than You.
EVERYONE is BETTER at CERTAIN things.
It makes the World INTERESTING.
THINK before YOU TALK AND ACT.
Don't try to belittle someone over intellectual things,
Or You will be showing YOUR IGNORANCE.

with your acid
rain letting me
drink your essence.

Unwrap my petals
with your fertilizer
helping me become
your perfect rose.

Your words are a whip
breaking me

covered in what

but now gets crammed

Your Shadow

I'm always stuck behind
while you do everything
I yearn to for
as you orally express
what's hidden in me
and you take all the glory
without a backwards glance at...

Your Sharp Cut Can't Hurt Me

your eyes connected to mine

my heart not quite attached

painfully i feel that i cannot feel

anything but everything thats pain

hurting that no longer hurts

crying without wet tears

cut me, i do not bleed

this still motion nothingness of me

that will never let me be anything with you

Your Star Or Mine?

Your Star Or Mine?

Your Star Or Mine?
Karyn Indursky 12/23/08

Reaching for the moon
on my tippy-toes
from a shooting star
wishing you where in my grasp,
but magically you're too busy
playing a bittersweet love song
for someone else
while I fantasize about the day
you leap from my dreams
into my medium blue eyed consciousness
for me to see my soulmate
standing before me
waiting to wrap me into his arms,
sweep me off my feet,
and give my son the dad he deserves.

Your string

I was once born into this world that many of us have come to call Earth
But at birth
Was it set in stone for me to live by a standard created by a string
A string
with ....
no form or identity...
A life force if you will
To guide me down a stream

Who knows really
It's probably wasted energy to think of such enormity
But when you give up such contemplation
Is when relaxation blankets your spine
your heart
To feel fine is not an art
It's how you are
All the time
from the start

When events that take place that stir up the past
the emotions and stubbornness lunge for my back
Sometimes they stick
whispering in my ear
'come here'
But it's nothing
It's nothing
The world is never how it seems
not yours, not mine
not anyone's
The world is yourself
Your real self
It's all there is
A constant kiss submerging your belief into the stem of a rose
where the source gives the life
where the happiness grows
where the unknown floats

Do not dwindle upon memories
It really isn't as hard as it seems
Why clutch a dream
for it slides through an attempted grip
Why put yourself through an unending trip
Take a sip from the freshness you are
perhaps you need to feel a little bizarre
For such simplicity will bewilder your mind
But let it soak back into that that's in line
Let the string of isness pass through
Everything is fine.

Your Stupid Best Friend

You were my best friend
My older sister
I was able to talk to you about anything and everything
And we were closer than anything else on this planet
But what happened to us?
I made an extremely stupid mistake
I ruined your relationship because of my problems
I had a problem but I took my anger out on one who was closest to me
What I said should not have been said but kept between you and me
Not put out in the open
But the reason I did it?
I did it because of a bit of jealousy
The nasty Green-Eyed Monster
The Monster that took over me
And made me jealous of my best friend's perfect relationship and her perfect boyfriend
But now because of my stupidity and jealousy and sharp tongue
I ruined your perfect relationship
you broke up with him because of me
Because what I said was stupid and regretful
So now you probably hate me
And I know you hate me because I've known you for too long not to tell you hate me
You were my best friend
My sister The one closest to me
But what happened to us?
You have a terrible best friend who was jealous of you and perfect boyfriend
But the thing is:
Do you know how sorry I am for what I did?

Author's Notes:
I lost my best friend to my stupid mistake because of my own personal problems with my boyfriend...so I ruined my best friend's perfect relationship :(

Your True Friend

Your True Friend

Karyn Indursky

I can feel
your pain
of not
being heard
when there's nothing
more in life
that you
desire more.
I can feel
your burning passion
to be heard
and have someone
there to listen,
care,
hold your hand,
hold you,
touch your heart
by being there,
love you.
I can see
your attempts of
reaching out
as you
grasp the air
surrounding you,
suffocating you
into despair.
I can feel
your tears
trickling down...
down...
down...
down...
down...
down...
your cheeks and you
silently pray
a tissue
will be provided
by a soul
standing there.
I can feel
your tears
meeting your
neck and shoulders
as they fall...
fall...
fall...
fall...
fall...
fall...
aimlessly, relentlessly
to the ground.
I can feel
your agony as you
realize that
someone's there, but
it's not
who you want.
I can feel
you not seeing
your true friend.

When friendships become sheltered

When friendships alter negativity

Zack's Kitten Fiasco

Zack's Kitten Fiasco

Karyn Indursky

Escaping enclosing hands
reaching down to grab
and carry for petting
by mere seconds
he's chest fallen,
but determined to
try until at last that
kitten is his.

Looking at her lying
in a silver pot
with soil scattered
upon her when
she took herself
and rubbed, played, embraced
particles of dirtiness,
but when he lurks
above her by mere inches
she dashes away
in the knick of time.

Rubbing against his legs
to get his attention
for petting, but,
just when he thinks he can hold it,
the kitten decides to
sprint before running
faster than even his
eleven year old legs can run
and trust me that's hard.

Hearing the kitten purring
from tender strokes upon their skin
and when the kitten seems calm
everything changes in a
blink of his brown eyes
because the kitten nibbles him
before wrapping it's legs
around his unarmored arm
for nibbling, licking, playing
until poor Zack surrenders.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This was extremely funny to watch today and even harder not to dart in to begin writing about it, but I wanted to give a few funny examples compared to just one. Enjoy your day!

‘CHASING THE DRAGON’

Inverse relationship for diminishing returns

on big investments in crack cocaine.

For each expenditure

of untold dollars,

she obtain an ever shrinking

imaginary benefits with a compounded deficit,

on a five minute high.

The Government provides crack pipes,

and money for the addict’s many highs;

with holding hands

of social policy

for the public good.

To weave a sarcastic social fabric,

and mend the gaping tears

in our lasting living sheets.

The dealer pushes the crack

mixed with this and that;

whatever they got

or want to concoct.

With the long arm of the law

the police smashes the glass sticks.

Maybe even arrest a few

for unlawful use

or illegal drug deals,

unless done in

“HARM REDUCTION” sanctuaries.

Check the centre’s policies,

on Police entry.

Friends provide the peer pressure,

the encouragement,

as continuous whispering

demon voices in her pretty little ear.

What an unbreakable synergy

working in marvelous harmony

for the common good

of our fragile community.

Byway of accumulation

or differential summation,

life fleys her body;

governed by the decay power function.

While there is an exponential increase

in hidden cost

to the burning of our own cross.

A mosaic of communal organic tapestry,

stitched together with fragile living treads

of bonds and trust,

being slowly eaten

by narcotic worms.

With her flesh sizzling,

her soul and spirit frying,

in merciless fires, heat, and lies.

Burning up in inhalations,

then exhalations

of puffs of crack smoke.

Grab the “HARM REDUCTION” instruments,

insert the solid cocaine stone,

then ignite the rock

like a dying red sun

at the end of it’s life’s journey,

into dazzling pops and crackles

like the fourth of july.

Like playful puppies,

jumping and frolicking all about

with great exhilaration in anticipation

of being fed their mother’s warm milk.

She takes one puff

of the real stuff.

Her eyes roll back

in her shrunken skull.

Her muscles continuously twitch and scream

like break dancers on the big screens,

or sirens hollowing on the ocean breeze.

Her muscle spasm,

as though she is in

of multiple organismic trance.

Or like the last gasp of living breath

from a stuck bloodletting hog,

expelling it last vestige of life giving fluids,

and driving it’s cold body into convulsions.

The damaged neurons

scattered through the vast expanse

of the nervous system.

JUST DON’T SEEM TO FIRE RIGHT!

Bastardization and degradation

of bio-chemical-electrical transmissions,

sins against one’s own flesh.

She is trapped

like a fidgeting rat,

trotting back and forth

on the path of life’s journey without

a meaning

a purpose

a place for being.

Other than to be used,

and be consumed

or to devour on the hour.

Almighty God,

where has all the hope gone.

Crack has caught

another big blissful fish

with curved barbed hollowed hooks;

that continually sucks her blood

as it slowly works its way

deeper and deeper into poisoned flesh.

To wither her spirit,

to dry up her soul,

and continue to siphon her very life

till all that remains is brittle bones.

She become easily prone

to suggestions

or suggestive conditioning.

Mesmerized like pavlovian dogs,

to salivate,

to rob,

to steel,

to be an irrational hoodlum.

Or even worse!

To bow down low

on her knees and toes

as though she carries a curse.

Without the whimper of a scream.

Surrendering...

Submitting...

Selling holy things

that should never be sold.

Pleasuring for bad money

that cannot even buy old clothes.

To sell her precious essence,

barter her personal treasures,

man or woman it makes no difference.

For she have entered the inescapable world

of teasing psychotic visions,

titillatingly beautiful

and seem so real.

Where she chase a fleeting dream

of fire breathing dragons.

She will never catch,

but hope to sack.

As the blinking fireflies

with their beacon of hope

in innocent dreams

hasen to leave

the vile realm

she has chosen to lead.

Until the Grim Reaper recycles her life,

and comes calling her living soul.

Which was given in good-faith,

in an act of trust and confidence

on an expired timely lone.

For the life we carry

is not our own.

Leaving a world of damage

and heart aches.

Her tsunami of destruction,

caused by a quick burning flame.

Tries to cast an illusion of control,

for an out of control wildfire of cocaine

feeding off her brain,

chopping up the circuits of her mind

to make her insane.

The many little demons from the

stenching

stagnant

heavy

thick

malodor

emanating from

hell’s glass cylinder door.

Attaching to her blood,

and inserting themselves

into chosen parts of her id

to suckle on her thoughts

like minions of starving leeches.

To assault

twist,

and even squeeze out

every last drop of dripping pain

to reap the real gains

of crack cocaine.

Causing her to surrender to madness,

and the selling of her four beloved babies,

on a dirty one way track,

around the corner at the back,

and next to the garbage dumpster

for crack.

The mirage of the utopia she first believe,

disappear like billions of night stars

vanishing with the reality

of a coming dawn.

The endless black board screams

behind her purgatory viel

seem so surreal

in this dystopian field

But,

her hell just started!

To begin her holy-war,

she declared on herself,

and expect to win

while singing

“THE CONQUEROR’S VICTORY SONG.”

On her personal jihad,

with her own guilty right hand,

she takes her bloody grinning head,

held aloft in mocking conquest

of herself.

Slumbering sleeper,

you better awake!

Your time is already come and gone!

‘DEATH HAS NO HOLD ON ME!’

Death has no hold on you;

the story of the healing words.

My kindred spirit

on a similar path.

Who took up the pen

to mend her bleeding heart.

My essence compels me

to tap the keys,

and paint a few simple lines

peeled from my crying soul.

To beat back the burning cold,

for I have reach “‘The Breaking Point’.”

So

“‘Daddy's Little Girl’”

my beloved metaphoric artisan,

though I remain invisible amongst the cast,

give me a free friendship pass.

If I may ask for the next poetic dance,

to overcome the wretched past.

To

tap

clap

and mime alongside your choreographic lines

of the “‘The Blind Truth’.”

Poetic Sister,

lend me your hand

to prance and dance upon the land,

For death could never ever stop you!!!

Your majestic spirit

sours across the planes,

amongst the misery of the mystic myst

and dying sane.

Up through the assaulting raining pains,

beyond the crimson mountain of tears

across the cold heavy blanketed precipice,

of deep dark space

to be clad in the warm blanket of sunshine and love.

To conquer time

with beautiful poetic rhymes,

and stand strong in the land of the living,

amongst the angelic chimes.

For she who writes with my spirit pen,

there is no choice;

but to endure

but to overcome

but to fulfil your fate,

and receive God's blessing Grace.

So

fly for awhile with me

upon the wings of the wishing well.

For our parents

we never chose.

Our history

we cannot chose.

Even our genetic imprisonment,

that fight we will always lose.

Ah

but the future!

The future my dear beloved friend,

we carry within the palm of our hands!

The world we live in,

is the initial world we first perceived,

for we create it

out of the void within our own minds.

Ones universe

is a very personal World.

Built with one’s soul, sweat and tears

or formed in loving arms with paint and ink.

We dream it

we plan it

we build it

then forever bind it

to our very souls.

‘VAGINA DIALOG’

Excuse me,

I am not trying to be rude

or acting obtuse.

But bear with me for a short little while,

and hop along for a common sense ride.

If you love our woman,

it will fill you with pride

despite my vulgar tide.

One cannot hate any woman

without hating oneself.

Just because we are kicked out of paradise

does not give one the right

to call a woman…

These vile decrepit names

our beloved woman are forced to bear

by knaves

without shame

in ignorance and self hate.

No sense or sensibilities

of wherefore they came.

I cannot repeat or remake

or else I will be branded

an ignorant angry disgusting mate.

I will be banned

from the poetic distribution stand,

and it is not because I am a man

The shameless conversation about

rape

gang banging

hate.

About heroines we should appreciate

for our community sake.

It was a woman

who squeezed us from between her legs

after her vagina

swell

erupt

rip

then pop,

shooting us into to society's shop.

We came into being

in the womb of a woman.

Our first lesson we partake

in a pre-baby state

resonating through the hallowed halls

of her living uterine walls.

We heard her angelic voice

pervasive like a goddess

echoing from all corners of the domain

in which she reign.

It is the closes thing to God speaking

that we can proclaim.

We formed and developed

in the bowels of her flesh cave of refuge.

She persevered and persisted

after having her lips

stretch

tear.

Wrapped around her hips

then forcing out a crying basketball

from a small folded hole

the size of a very tiny bowl

beyond her sensitive vagina hall.

After 18 hours

of excruciating rhythmic screams

no one could ever miss.

Heart wrenching howls

of unstoppable pain.

To gain a small piece of eternity,

and to be counted as a link

in life’s continuous chain.

Everyone experienced the first sensation of light

after being pissed out of a female's crotch,

and emerging from a mother’s heavenly gate.

Birth from a cervical cavern

to experience a spiritual metaphoric transition.

Breathing the first breath of life,

then cut the lifeline

to the only heaven we new

losing the umbilical cord as we grew.

Savour the first smells

after her pussy exploded,

and pushed us from her blessed well.

Spend the rest of our life

trying to re-enter paradise;

as though the mating ritual

was a repetitive religious right

performed each and every night

in dim flickering candle light.

The path to heaven’s door

is a long double  twisting spiral ladder

each mated pair

must claim the journey they wish to share.

The farther we go

and the higher we climb

is the closer we get to the coveted prize

for there you will find “Narvana’s Grove.”

Where milk and honey flows

from twin mountain peaks

not far beyond our reach.

Just across the savanna,

down and up a small concave valley,

then over a hilly hump

before reaching the promised land.

Where a

single

solitary

hooded guardian stand.

To enter this forbidden land.

Where silken non green grass grows wild and free.

To savour the flowers from Eden’s secret garden,

and pluck the forbidden fruit

while fully ripe in due season

for loving a woman is pleasing.

A place where angelic songs from a divine maiden

falls like persistent rain in all seasons

perforating the air for a noble reasons.

Calling back home to her lost symmetric half’

like a lost key finding his respective lock,

to enter her heavenly clock,

and partake of womanly treasures,

making the rivers of life to come alive

for a very long time.

Causing her tick tock

to strike nine

many many times.

But don’t forget a deep gaze

into her two oval eyes

and be lost in her paradise,

for this is where we belong

if we be strong.
