Question: "I Did, Did You?". Answer: "I Will: I Have!"

Is love forever?

Oh!, don't wonder--just believe!

Love lasts forever!

     When true, it won't pass away,

     if false, it won't last ONE day!

Today, tomorrow,

"...this petty pace..."(+) of a life

leaves me wondering:

     If we loved, why did it pass?

     Was it false love, not to last?

My heart is SO strange:

you could not break it, Oh Love!

Loneliness?---It's JOY!!

     Because I DID love you, true!

     Because you said:"I love YOU!"

My mem'ries are SWEET!

Of you, our love, the promise!

Tears are sweet, too! SWEET!

     How, Dear One, can I bemoan

     a sweet, dire love, best I've KNOWN!?

Do NOT touch my face!

Do NOT lay your tender kiss

on my lips--NOT YET!

     There is MORE than just "before";

     there's MORE than loving: MUCH MORE!

We had ONE moment!

ONE moment to last EVER!

Let us imagine:

     You breathe ME 100-yrs;

     next century, I breathe YOU!!

((Let's start TONIGHT!!!))

This is very nice Teddy. I had read it before, but either I was not in the right frame of mind or stil to close to the poem I wrote, to which you refer.
Good job.
