in another country

I may tell you other lies

echo this loud again

make a heartbeat out of height

skyscrapers I can only love underground-

world

make it make sense

smile at me, hole in the sky

dance earthquakes around me

lullaby my only rainstorm

seems I can only seek you

natural disaster me into action- next time

I want to be able to dig a hole

before the winter hits

I want to keep airborne

feel my feathers in the wind

before I bottom out

treasure a soft ache like this

a line of sand

a broken bell

unsounding through my lungs

on every awakening

take it in

let the sky hold my breath

let the ponds fill my belly

catch my skipping heartbeat in the cattails

ears still ringing

caves canyons walls still ringing

I can only hope it sounds like truth
