Should you find yourself crying,

standing in the rain



or dreaming,with your eyes wide open,

in the middle of the night



If you feel your body tingle,

on a hot summer day



It's just me, saying I love you,

while we're so far away



If some song on the radio

is just too hard to listen to



or you feel alone,

watching the Sunday Night movie

even though he's with you



should you turn to see our daughter

and in her eyes you see me



It's just me, saying I love you

packaged in a memory





Pictures, cards and gifts

are all you have, now of me

and private times we use to share

again, may never be



No matter what the future holds

or the things we may go through

besides the mistakes,

all the things I've done

I did because I love you.
