Unique

If everything were as simple as a single grain of sand,

Or a raindrop on a leaf, that falls, into a child’s hand,

That hand that bears such ability to turn and run away,

The innocence of childhood, that I long since left at play,

The simplicity of a snowflake, upon the grasses green,

As different as one another, like our souls seem,

But in everyday existence, our lives seem like a chore,

Not one, but many people, one heart like many more,

As unique as every sunset, over waters deep,

Every colour different, like our dreams within our sleep,

But without a voice, an action, our thoughts go unheard,

And every different vessel, just blends in and is blurred,

If everything were as simple, we would not notice anything,

And we must learn to cherish, as life is a wonderful thing,

Though listen not too carefully, because we are still as one,

And my quest to be unique has only just begun…

This is a great poem! Great imagery, strong flow. Excellent!
You are unique. We all are. IN ADDITION, DON'T EVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT UNIQUE! YOU ARE UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFUL TOO!

"One of the best results of life, is the torment of love"
