Love Dies

Once we were happy and so much in love

But our magical romance quickly dissolved

Faced with life's burdens we had not forseen

Our tender moments became few and far between

Neither of us knew it, but we were drifting apart

Something was dying within our hearts

Now there is nothing, nothing at all

We're still together but there's no love at all

Sadness prevails as we think what might have been

So who's to blame, was it me or was it him

Yes... again. Two lovers
so close with nothing between
them but growing distance!
I do feel these poems.

Tricia,

Your poem just spoke words that every female (and some male) heart has surely felt at some point in time. You write with such simplicity of feeling that it grabs the reader immediately.

Thanks,
Jessica

A teary weary tale. So true. So common. Such a shame. So understandable too. I like your style Tricia. You express yourself and your story very well. The reader lives it, experiences it with you. Well done again. F. Salphire

We as woman work to keep a relationship alive, but if will surely fail when the work is one sided. Like a plant without water love dies without communication. Another very true to life poem.

I'm going through the same thing right now... it's sad how it just ends, huh? just keep your head up (cheesy- but true) and a good spirit--- and you should make it through. :)

Tricia, I am so sorry there are feelings like this in the world. I have been with "my guy" for 36 years now and can't imagine life without him. We are getting ready to retire together. Hoping to spend our "golden" years together. I wish I could take all my love and spread it around to all the unhappy couples out there. Take care. Linda
