A POETIC MONOLOGUE

Folder:
JOURNAL # 41

perfection's malice
we tend to liken to
discomfort's grace
just as
memory's mayhem
verses maladies' malaise
mischief's misfortune
garners opportunities
under a colorful umbrella
of questionable pretense
falsely foretelling
where there is a willingness
to wonder
work can all too easily be waylaid
perchance she dreams
an honorary illusion
marks of dismal defeat
gallantly hide behind
curtain falls of confusion
worry sidesteps muse
with it's fidgety drunken gate
moments that seem to come easy
are mere impediments of spite's
binary regret
and then
personal events
previously shelved as utterly sensational
burn like pyres
as if holding up death's
very own lament
bitterly betraying the denial
that all too soon comes back around

just to eat it's own hat
such exhaustion today
I made as 'A Poetic Monologue'
recognition burns humbly cold
by way of mine latest reader's nod..............

A POETIC MONOLOGUE

A well put together poem. Loved the comparisons. Your poetry is well crafted and I enjoyed very much.

Even God remains imperfect -

Even God remains imperfect - impossibly possible or ...? You have brought hope to failing & falling in othere words we have options to ahead even with our imperfections! Enjoyed thoroughly....

Thank you so much,

I enjoyed your assessment by use of the words failing and falling. We make mistakes and so we better learn but I must disagree with you on your mentioning you believe even God is imperfect. He, I believe is the only perfect thing there is and what seems like mistakes he has made to us are just us seeing his work with too narrow human eyes. Ah, if we but could see with his eyes we would get the broader, more honest view of why and the how  of every possible thing achieved. The pool of my faith flows in that very idea. I trust his will implicitly even when it hurts my plans in the pinch. I adored reading your view and believe you very kind to take your time to reply to my poem. Have an unremarkably remarkable day. Sincerely, Melissa.
