Truth of Love

Love was never a fool

Wise in the ways of life

Coming as it pleases

Vanishing when it wants

Not lost amongst the titans

The bitter apple left to rot.

Love has never caused destruction

Only our human disposition

A miseducation in our mind frame

Causing hatred for what’s lost

Crimes of passion overtake

Left to die amongst our hope.

Love knows clearly when it’s needed

And when it’s not-

Holding on and letting go

Releasing us from its embrace

Giving regret we shouldn’t feel

That we are always forced to face.
