Democratization

We built a spiral shrine
A stairway to heaven
And heaven rose higher up in the clouds
So we planted a vine
To climb those stairs and stretch further
Reaching for the sun
We celebrated as walled clouds parted,
Moving like opening doors
As blazing light came out
But heaven sent a drought
The bean stalk dried up
We lay dumbfounded on the ground

Rose back to our feet, in time,
Still determined
If heaven won't let us up, might it come down?
So we build another shrine
A helipad for heaven's landing
"Heaven on Earth"
Celebrated with a party and banner,
Waiting like opened doors
Then angels shined on our homes
But heaven sent us drones
Bombed our work in it's sum
Scorched every last inch of ground

We called out to the god, above,
and said "Why, NED, why?"
Crying and sobbing in blood
Dreams spilled everywhere
And NED's only response
Was to send in those angels,
Strafing our bodies
And finish us off

The Still Breathing

Look to gods, while standing next to a mirror. They really need to fix gradeschools and colleges. It only works with partcipation and few of us read. We work , we play, laugh and love and accumulate stuff. By sloth or by design no matter, nature is coming soon to a sky near you.

At least we get some of it

At least we get some of it right, when we laugh and love.

Accumulation clogs the drain. Then we throw the baby out with the bathwater, and declare we're starting fresh. Rinse, repeat.

Education is a good idea. We lean on the state to do it, though. The state will teach subservience to the state. And, of course, with the state being run by corporate interests, that means eternal consumer zombi-ism. I don't know the full answer to this. It will never work when the state is the teacher. But we can't do without education, either. My dad, as well as my mom, taught my siblings and I constantly in the home. That is essential, I think. Parents, to the fullest degree they can, must be active teachers. Morally/ethically, yes. But also, educators. It's the only way to override the system.

I saw your post in the forum. Much gratitude for that spotlight, as well. That was very generous and kind.
