Like a chameleon

like a chameleon this fox will be

hiding behind the forest trees

acting as if she isn't around

observing the actions of you on the ground

adapts when she needs to

her cunning eyes see too

observing the others

herself as she needs to

johnny-on-the-spot

never to get caught

camouflaged all day

while her battle's being waged

from under the brush

she's quite out of touch

or at least out of sight

'til she wants to shed light

you'll laugh as she fools you

her silliness will woo you

you'll see her true colors

her beauty will shine through

she'll sit back in silence

and watch your defiance

then she will offer you

some sort of guidance

swiftly she'll offer and then disappear

you'll wonder what hit you

it will become clear

you will soon thank her

for lessons you learned

you'll realize she's out there

and not unconcerned

about your well being

our oneness now seen

teaching me how

to adapt to the scene

Animals

share the earth with us and we embrace them. Birds I like, dogs are fab, but cats not so much. I have no experience with foxes. slc

Cats

We got one a few months back to help with yhe mouse population. He pretty much thinks he is a dog. Also eats dog food and cuddles with my dog. Funny guy.

I always had a fondness for fox. I recall being a kid in a gift shop that had the coolest stuffed animals. I fell in love with the fox and my uncle bought if for me. Along with a Pegasus I believe. :)
