My Mind's Eye

Folder:
Love of my Life

In my mind's eye I see

A vision of you and me

Lying on secluded beach

Lost in each other's arms for weeks.

Drinking the nectar of our souls

In numbers of kisses untold

Nothing covering us but blue sky

This I see in my mind's eye.

Our love consumes us there on the  sand

As you respond to the touch of my hand

It explores every facet of your body

As my lips search and follow.

They find the fullness of your breast

With a motion of kissing and flicking you love best.

Then ever downward to that honey pie

This I see in my mind's eye.

Your moan in ecstacy for only the gulls to  hear

As I rise and kiss away your fear

For tomorrow once again we must fly,

But this moment remains, forever, in my mind's eye.

Quite invigorating, even for this "retired, old man"!! I'll try to match you, and plan to use a word from each line (remember "Gimmee-5, -10, etc.from the good-old-days?!)
BOY!! That beach scene has a LOT of memories for me!!
Looks as tho' I'll hafta do a double Sonnet, since I'll need a like line-count as yours, and I really do prefer working within a form; blank verse leaves me....well...sorta BLANK!!
Do we have a challenge here, for you, Mr H???

"Poe" I'm not, nor "Rich" am I,
but I'll be famous, b'ye and b'ye !

I think you should consider a career as a romance writer...not bad for a guy! (just kidding). Do you currently read romance novels? I think you could really do some good historical romances. There aren't too many male authors - they would probably really sell. Women are always curious to read romance novles that are written by men. Most women don't think men can do it as well as women. I think they're wrong. Of course, you have a great muse!
