Maid

Head bowed down mopping the floor

The maid of the house

Lives in a shanty close by

Her daughter is of marriagable age

Graduated from local college

A teacher in a neighbourhood school

In love with a young man

Earning well------ good family

Hopes blossom into flowers

A swinging Indipop on her lips

She's on the right path. She doesn't need tips

Methinks a maid's contentment is quite relative

Thanks for reading.Methinks a maid's contentment is quite relative. In my view everyone has his/her ups & downs in happiness & contentment. Very very relative respected nl1220. She is a real character .The daughter is now happily married with a 4 year old son.Unfortunately she is separated from her hubby but has grinned & bore it. So much for the l-o-n-g story. Sometimes I feel happier when I compare myself to the unfortunate people.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
