Across the miles

I never knew I could make you smile

and it's tearing out my heart

knowing I can't be there too.

I've never written a line

that I don't fully mean

it's important for you to know that

so I can say you're my everything.

I hope one day we'll have it easier

than we've had things for awhile,

but I feel like I'm right beside you

when I still make you smile.
