a love poem

your hair as wild as the tall grasses

wind whipped and whispering.

your eyes green as the ocean reflecting sun.

salty tears carry waves back home.

constellations on your sun kissed skin,

eternity in fleeting microcosm.

tall but not proud,

more beautiful than you will ever admit.

a heart like fountains

that wash away sin.

quickthinking mind

quicksilver tongue

and footsteps like reverence.

you ancient beauty

Renaissance painting

Pagan priestess

weaving words into tapestries

and sculpting colors into Enlightenment.

so easily swept away

by an untamed heart.

so easily brought to ruin

by all things must end.

a love like light itself

always dancing with shadows.

and loyalty even to memories.

when the shackles and chains bite flesh

be ready to end and begin again.

i am with you sweetheart.

i am a natural champion.

i will always stand beside me.

and when The Tower comes tumbling down,

just remember, i always have me.
