This poem was also written in 1999 about the first guy I ever fell in love with.  My feelings came back for him but I didn't want to get hurt.

On & on.
Wait on Fate.
Do & Die.
Never lie.
Tears & dreams.
Hopeless schemes.

(I know it didn't work.
& now I know WHY it didn't work.
But doesn't God give points
for those of us who follow all the rules, without cheating?)
