United flight 93 crashed about 40 miles from my house, about 10 miles from where my great grandmother used to live.  This poem is in memory and honor of those that were killed on that tragic day.  The innocent people on that plane saved our nation what could have been a greater loss.  This I dedicate to them...our heroes.

I wrote this in the 7th grade in 1999 and it we were reading a book Daniel's Story, about this young boy who lives through the Holocaust and the assignment was to write and ode to the boy Daniel. This was actually my first poem as well.
