Existential

The Place

When I'm about to cry

I ask God to take me to a different place

And that is where I go

It's a place where I'm alone

Where I could cry forever

A place that no one knows that exist

A place that is warm

And caring

When you go to The Place

You know what you are doing at the time

But mentally you don't

All you know is to cry

Get the hurt and pain out

But after you mentally come back

You don't know what happened

All you know is you did cry

And you had pain and hurt

But is all gone away

Then you are happy

And you have peace

But The Place is wonderful place to be at

When you are sad

When you don't know what to do

When you can't hold back your tears

The Place is more than anyone could be

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is true, it happens to me all the time, it helps me get through what I'm going through.  And it lets me cry in front of anyone, b/c I don't feel there, I feel like I'm some where else.  Thanks for reading.

FATE

I know what fate is

And it does not

Have fickle fingers

You may call it

Steely and cold

Cruel and relentless

But its not fickle

And when you are

In its grip

And you will be

It will not let go

CONSCIENCE

from within

the deep recesses

of my mind

a voice is calling

i listen

intently

and asks

is it right?

is it wrong?

the voice answers

it dictates me

i follow.

Vestals

We are celibate in our servitude,

attempting to achieve...

parallels of latitude.

We stoke the sacred fires,

all the while enhancing...

your desires.

We are creatures of mythology,

tending the hearth...

transcending theology.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Vestal virgins of Roman mythology were celibate during thier servitude.  Good idea.

In the Quiet Time - Haiku

In the quiet time

We talk of everything

Or nothing at all

Author's Notes/Comments:

My first Haiku!  Wanted to insert an additional(second) line, "Your head in the fold of my arm", but then it wouldn't fit the format.  Oh, well...
