I have been reading Poetry: I have been reading Poetry since spring, 1973, and writing it since summer, 1994.  So I hope that gives me some credibility when I say that this is one of the MOST powerfully poignant poems I have ever read.

Did I actually stumble across: Did I actually stumble across greatness? A heartsong, uncommon, almost ethereal, several steps above the everyday? I believe I have.   I was about to log out when I glanced at the first line of your masterpiece (I almost never use that word) on the homepage and found myself lured back in. Wow. How many writers have tried put a new spin on that simile and somehow fell short, but your prowess of language made it soar.    The entire monument of eloquence and expertise was a breathless, exceptional experience that made my day. Truly.    Peace and Light.

I say this with the utmost:   I say this with the utmost respect for you as a member of PostPoems. In the mid Seventies, I spent a ten week term in a very intense and detailed study (directed by my school) on Germany in the twenties and thirties.  And everything I hear about that man (I will neither write nor speak his name during these four years) reminds me with chilling accuracy of what they said about, and how they adulated, the Bavarian housepainter whom President Hindenburg had apointed Chancellor in January, 1933.  And he was feted as the greater leader, the worker of economic and industrial miracles---quite an accomplishment during the worst part of the Great Depression.  After he had lulled the German people with these achievements, he ordered, in 1939, the invasion of Poland, the beginning of WWII.  And he convinced the German electorate that this was necessary for continued German well-being . . . and they fell for it.   More than one commentator has mentioned how eerily some of that man's remarks closely echo texts from Hitler's book, Mein Kampf.  Although I have only a BA in History, I do not think a higher degree is required to see the similarity in the patterns.  Let me say again, I have written this without acrimony and with the utmost respect for you as a fellow member of PostPoems.

A gentle, enlightened and: A gentle, enlightened and priceless tribute to beautiful lover and sage. The barefoot wise one passes down a gift of acceptance and ecstasy. Resplendent writing.    By the way, I am familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet, so the playful name came through clearly. Cute.    Hope you are well. Brightest blessings.

Hi. Though I’m no..: Hi. Thought I'm no fan of Trump, I admire your admiration for him. Your poem showers him with praise. Is that why he's so golden? Thanks for sharing.
