The lasting impact, the: The lasting impact, the magic, of this poem is the ingenious use of poignant, auditory clues to illustrate the experience of betrayal and loss. The sounds are mundane, identifiable, muted, yet devastating to the heart.   Truly amazing work!

You still got it, radiant: You still got it, radiant Poet!   I loved each one of these cleverly spun examples of authentic skill and human drama. Your signature expertise is spotlighting the everyday, often overlooked moments in our lives and turning them into gold. As I've said before: you're the real deal.     Always a pleasure.

This means so very much - thank you. : I must apologise for almost not seeing this comment. Not for the first time, I was not sent a notification, nor was there a mention when I logged in.  That aside, as I stated in the subject, this comment powerfully moves me. I haven't had much reach or interaction with this blog post on its original platform, which has been disheartening.   I will freely admit that I try to get these points across to every client I tutor, regardless of age or subject. Admittedly, most of my clients are disabled or have some other learning difficulty, much like myself. To be even more honest, much of the inspiration I have for doing what I do stems from my desire to give people the tutor/mentor/support that I never had when I was growing up.  So, I do sincerely hope you appreciate how thrilled I was to read your comment. Most of all, it beautifully demonstrates many critical points I was trying to discuss in my blog: empathy, validation, and understanding. I desire to change, improve, include, and make accessible what many of us take for granted. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

What a valuable resource and: What a valuable resource and enlightened perspective you created! As a caregiver of a disabled loved one, I find this treasure trove of facts along with articulate and indisputable social consciousness so essential that I will bookmark it in the event that I need counterpoints to unsolicited advice I sometimes receive from well-meaning friends.   For instance, one friend, not understanding the severity and complexity of my son's condition, asked: "Aren't you enabling him by doing so much for him?"   (Head spinning)   You addressed this, and so much more, with stunning arguments one would expect from a skilled attorney or a seasoned debater in this heartbreaking and devastatingly brilliant article. So much empathetic, knowelagable and piercing truth here that hacks away at all the self-deluded, simplistic pop psychology that a hyperindividualistic society would latch onto.   And of course they would! Victim blaming, belief in easy cure alls and self-centered rationalizations absolves them of personal responsibility. Put the blame on our most vulnerable citizens and problem solved. All is right with their world.   We desperately need change, but change in policy only happens when society itself changes, and this is where your article shines. You illuminate hearts and minds with unsparing reality and a roadmap to a more egalitarian, humane and livable world.   Congratulations on this! Excellent work!

Thank you very much.  Now: Thank you very much.  Now that I am in this rehab facility learning how to walk again, and also having some leg injuries treated, the shorter forms of Poetry seem more attractive and easier at the moment.

A reminiscence that blazes: A reminiscence that blazes delicately like morning light through a window. The winsome elation of one of life's most powerful "firsts" is described with amazing delicacy, endearing honesty and artistic skill that only a true Poet can pull off.   One of your greats!
