At the end, I was caught in between,

To heal your scars I had to love you with all my heart,

But to keep you by my side, I had to love you less,

I couldn't see what you wanted from me,

Was it lust, a try of love, or something not even near?

Were you ever mine?...

Unpredictable love, unsure of it's direction, can confuse the best of us. A really good poem I enjoyed reading.

I agree with diamond. This is the other side of love that so many people give up on...and yet we need it to experience the fullness of love. Growth is an option. Change, inevitable.

 

Ps. Keep close the fact that "tough love" is not loving less. It is loving to beat of what another needs most.
