Ocean

Folder:
My Works

sea maids musical threads form in the air

a veil is pulled over my eyes

ever so slightly

going blind

the fog of my memory

condenses every smell

sand beneath my feet

a million voices scream out

through the crashing waves

now it is calm

silence

water like glass with one touch forever ruined

so many different colors

it has its own rainbow

a life force is here

haunted by ghostly images

never resting

always coming in and out

washing away the impurity

that our minds cannot seem to cleanse

angels linger here

such a beautiful inhumane place

is not worthy of our world

yet is has its own evil

mysteries we will never know

so many un-counted deaths

lost souls cry out on open shores

its beauty lures us

believing that for one moment their is peace

Author's Notes/Comments:

umm... I wrote this beacuase, well I'll just come out and say it, I'm obssesed with the ocean. And I thought it was time I wrote a poem about it. It's not one of those imagery ones, but sort of mystery like, just like the ocean itself.

It's almost as if you are trying to draw a parellel between the ocean and something else in your life. At first I thought that it was perhaps your mind but now I think that maybe it's a person. Or maybe I'm just imagining things. I'll have to read it a few more times.
