A Holiday With Grief

Folder:
Grief

Go ahead, and have your holiday with grief

Go ahead, and have your buckets filled with tears

Cry and be sad, embracing your pain

Bathe yourself with pity, remembering his memories

No one will ever take his place

No one can sing his melodies

You will forever see his face in your children's smile

You will find him in every corner of your heart

And someday, when all your dreams are fulfilled

When all your sunsets and full moons will fade

When your dawns are no longer awaited and expected

Then you can have your holiday, not with tears

Not with grief, but a holiday with him

In the great beyond, in the vast unknown

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is dedicated to a brave and courageous lady, who took care of her ailing husband for 7 years, and now that the time is almost here, when he is about to leave her, she told me that yes, it is okay to have her holiday with grief, to be kind to herself and try to move on, as life has to go on!!!
