we have lost even the moonlight

you did not even say goodbye

when you clasped my hand and kissed it

i knew you were leaving me behind



we have lost even the twilight

a faint illumination did not help my

aching heart,and when you traced my face

to remember, i died with you that night



i may have lost you to the great beyond

but this i promise to myself,whatever remains

of my frail body and soul,i will only loose

it to the next man I will love
